SECTION 1
GENERAL INFORMATION
This Chapter describes the special features that SAT has to offer. These features allow for quick and simple system programming and customizing.
SECTION 2
SPECIAL FEATURES
Each of the SAT Special Features are described next: Wizards organize system data assignments to program single features. When the user selects Wizard, the system provides a list of information related to the selected feature. Multiple Assignments of Station Numbers allows a range of station numbers to be assigned with a few clicks. Example Scenario: System with 96 stations with Station Numbers 100-195 need to be changed to 200-296. Change Station port 01 to 200. In the Multiple Assignment box, enter 96 ports and click "Assign".
Example Operation:

Document Revision 1 Electra Elite IPK ___________________________________________________________________________________ Copy/Swap allows information from one Station or Trunk to be copied to multiple Stations or Trunks.
Copy Operation
A system of 120 stations recently requests that the Hands Free feature be activated. Change MB 4-29 to "YES" for station port 01. Initiate the Copy feature of SAT by pressing F3, clicking on the Copy Icon, or clicking on the Edit Menu and choosing "Copy". Make sure that MB 4-29 is highlighted. Make sure that port 01 is marked with "F". This represents that copying is FROM that port. Make sure that all of the other ports you want to copy MB 4-29 to are marked with "T". In this example we will be marking ports 02~120 with "T". Click the "Copy" button, and now MB 4-29 has been copied from port 01 to ports 02~120.
Swap Operation
Example Scenario:
A customer has two users that have swapped offices. The users have completely different characteristics assigned to their phones. The customer would like for the users to take their phones with them to their new office and retain all the original phone characteristics. Select any TAB that contains a MB beginning with Mode 4 (for Telephone Mode). Select the Swap function by pressing F5, clicking on the Swap Icon, or clicking on the Edit Menu and choosing "Swap". Enter the two station port numbers that you wish to swap, and then click the "Swap" button. Now all of the data has been swapped for the two terminals.
Example Operation:
Electra Elite IPK Document Revision 1 ___________________________________________________________________________________ CAP Key Auto Assign allows the technician to copy/assign multiple CAP keys to other Multiline Terminals.
CAP Key Auto Assign Example
H H H H
Example Scenario:
A customer wants to remove the direct CO appearances from their telephones and give each telephone four Call Appearance Keys. In Line Key Assignment for Stations, MB 4-12, assign four CAP keys (C00-01~C00-04) on line keys 1~4. Click the "CAP Key Auto Assign" Key. You now can assign CAP keys using two methods: 1. Sequential Assignment will maximize the number of CAP keys assigned by assigning as many keys per block to each station, keeping each individual stations keys within the same block. 2. CAP Block to Port Assignment will assign each station its CAP keys from a different CAP Block. Choose the method you wish to use, and select the TO and FROM assignments for each station port that will have CAP keys assigned. The Station to Call Appearance Block Assignment (MB 4-43) will also be correctly assigned for you.
Example Operation:
ARS Simulator allows the tech to confirm that the dialing number is programmed correctly in Automatic Route Selection. Multiple Assignment of Forced Account Codes, allows the account multiple account codes to be assigned. Moving/Replacing Hardware, allows for cards to be moved/replaced while maintaining the assigned data to the trunks or stations. See Appendix A for details

Two operations have been added to SAT IPK regarding moving and replacing cards using SAT. Moving A Card - Moving a card from one slot to another slot. Replacing A Card - Replacing a card with a new card in the "Card Shelf".
This chapter explains these two operations in detail. These two operations apply to all modes (S7000, S8000, and R1000) in the Elite IPK SAT. Refer to Figure A-1 Slot Interface Assignment Screen for a detailed view of how the cards are assigned in the KSU.

SECTION 1
MOVING A CARD
Purpose:
To keep all related settings when a card is moved from one slot to another slot. For example, when a user moves an ESI8 card from slot 1 to slot 5, then the data in MB 7-02, 1-2-08, 2-06, 4-xx will remain intact. It is possible, when a card is moved around, some settings are reset to default values. Also if you delete a card, in previous version of SAT, some settings will be reset to default values.
Operation:
Point your mouse to a card in a cabinet, press the left mouse button, move and drop this card to a new slot.
DO NOT release the left mouse button when you see a "trash bin" . Releasing the left mouse button when the trash bin appears means "deleting" a card.
SECTION 2
REPLACING A CARD
Purpose:
A Card not listed in any of the categories above has its own category by itself.
Operation:
H H H H H
To keep all related settings when a card is replaced with a card of the same type. For example, when a user drags an ESIB16 and drops it over an ESI8 in a cabinet, the first 8 ports of data in MB 7-02, 1-2-08, 2-06, 4-xx will remain intact. Data related to the last 8 ports will take default values. The following cards in each category are of the same type: Category 1 - Cards with TEL port type ESI and ESIB Category 2 - Cards with SLT port type SLI and OPX Category 3 - Cards with CO port type COI and COID Category 4 - DTI cards DTI 4, DTI 8, DTI 12~DTI 24 Category 5 - PRT cards PRT 4, PRT 8, PRT 12~PRT 24
Select a card in the "card shelf", drag it over an existing card in a cabinet, and drop it in by releasing the mouse button.
