I always start a newsletter by reading last years issue for the same time. It is quite revealing. 2011 was a hard year, but we got through it and I am sure we will get through 2012! My key word for the year is BALANCE - I aim to get more balance in my life all aspects of it. I think as so many of us face changes there are more and more people turning towards arts and crafts as a way of creating balance. Creativity is an antidote to stress! AFabulousFebruaryBudget Weekend The budget weekend is one of my favourites. Cheap cheap classes and great ideas for using what you have! I will be doing quite a bit of the teaching myself this year, to keep class costs really low - turn to page 3 to see the exciting projects we have lined up including what to do with those biscuit tins you got over christmas and all those fabric scraps you have hanging around. Sizzixgetsevenmoreexciting I never thought Iwould be saying this, but Sizzix and die cutting as a skill is getting even more exciting. Yesterday I downloaded the Sizzix Quilting catalogue, which takes Sizzix to another level completely. There are lots of new dies coming out and more and more ideas for using your Sizzix machine for more materials which makes it even more versatile and fab!! Freedemo-AmericaDay!!! Yes, it is that time of year when we break out the popcorn and coca cola and all things American including of course the latest launch from the fabulous Hero Arts company. Our order is already in and I am itching for it to arrive. Expect a bit of everything - but everything stylish and fab. We have a fantastic new range of Pearlescent card to work with for our demos as well as some great new cost saving ways to embellish cards. I will be demonstrationing alongside the fabulously talented Linda Dawson from Cork. Dont forget your cameras. Thereissomuchmore..... Coffee Mornings
We love Coffee morning, it is so great to sit and chat with our customers. Visitors to coffee morning can join our free crafters library, take a peek at all the latest catalogues, and of course have a good cup of tea and a nice bit of cake. Last year we had some special guests and sponsored coffee mornings which were extremely well attended. Join us from 10:30 to 12:30 on the second Friday of the month. In true American style, we will have free Make n Takes (you sit down and make a card to take home), lots of pop-corn and other American style food, and most of all lots of fun! Hope to see you there!

This year we are having a seriously budget conscous weekend. The aim is quite simply to have fun crafting and use up what we have! I have some great ideas for the two days and I know I am going to have fun - hope you will join me. p.s. I have decided to do quite a few of the classes myself to keep costs to a barest minimum! Look out for Sundays food savings too! Anyone will do - Roses, Foxs whatever. We wil be learning some great techniques including button mosaic, flat decoupage, flower making, craft painting techniques and more. Just so there is time for the paint to dry, we will also make a card and a little wooden project. And all this for ........ Cost: 20 Euro for the full day! Last year I converted my Christmas Foxs biscuit tin into a vintage caddy for my Copics. Everyone has been asking for this class, so here it is!! Please do not forget to bring along a biscuit/chocolate tin.

Now for the food - so nobody has to spend more money on lunch we have decided to have a bring and share - bring a plate of something (or a loaf of bread, a pudding, or whatever) and we will have a nice sharing lunch. I am so looking forward to it just have to decide what to make!

All new cards and great new designs for the new year - an excellent class for those wanting to make a bit of money from their crafts or those getting married and wanting to make their own wedding stationery.
