SMART INFORMER

Abstract Scope of the Project: Smart informer is a mobile application which provides all the information about the flights like delay of the flight, weather conditions of our destination. It will also inform all the passengers automatically if the flight is delayed. This works in all android 2.1 mobile devices. Existing system: In todays world there are widgets using which we can know the details of the flight reservation. But there is no such application which automatically informs the delay of flight to the passenger and also to all the concerned people whom we are going to meet after reaching the destination. Our clients cant be informed automatically about our delay and there is a possibility of cancelling our other reservations like hotel room, taxi etc. Proposed system: We are going to create a mash up type of application which will update us with the recent information related to us. Using this application we can reserve flight tickets very easily in our mobile. And it will inform us with all the information regarding to that flight, for example details like delay of flight, situations at our destination. This application includes a task widget and also a weather widget. Task widget contains all the details like reservation, appointments etc at our destination. Using weather widget we can get to know the weather conditions of any place. If the weather condition of our destination is very cold or hot, it will inform us so that we can carry the things required to get adjust to that climate. For the professionals if the flight has got delayed then all the appointments and meetings should be postponed and there is also a chance that hotel reservation may be cancelled. This application gives a solution to this problem by automatically informing them that the person will be late. The information will be sent to the concerned people by using the details in the task widget. Modules: 1. Reservation: Here the user can view the details of all the flights. The user can also view only the details of flights which will drive to his/her destination. Details of flights include flight timings, the number of tickets conformed, remaining tickets, not conformed list etc. Using the

details the user can reserve ticket for a flight. After completing reservation, the user have to know whether the reservation is conformed or not, it can be done by just giving the flight number and the user name. In this module the user will be asked whether to inform him/her with the information regarding to the flight or not. If the user is interested the information will be sent to the user and then task storage module will be called. 2. Task Storage: In this module a table with a specific format will be opened where the user is supposed to enter the information of his task schedule. For example the details of the clients the user is going to meet and at what time, the information of the hotel where the reservation of room is done, the information of the cab the user booked etc. 3. User informer: In this module the user will be informed with the up to date information. a. Weather widget: In this sub module we are going to create a weather widget. This widget will contain the information of the weather of all the places throughout the world. This widget will keep track of the destination information and will inform the user about the weather conditions at that place, so that the user can carry suitable garments that suits that weather condition. b. Local news: This sub module will inform all the local conditions of the destination to the user. Local conditions include any bandhs , bomb blasts, law and order problems etc. c. Delay information: If the flight has got delayed then this application will inform the user automatically that the flight has got delayed by so and so time. At the same time this module will communicate with the task storage module and informs all the respective clients that the person will be late by so and so time. 4. Area of interest: If the flight is delayed by more than 3 to 4 hours, then this module helps the user to know the nearby places. So that the user can visit those places instead of waiting for hours together. Here we can also remind the user half n hour before the flight arrives the airport, so that the user cant miss the flight.
