In case of upgrade of SAP from lower version to updated/New version, the new version will have many enhanced features then old version. During the upgrade process the consultant needs to have knowledge of the features available in updated version of SAP. This feature improves integration between plant maintenance of SAP ERP and the SAP Environmental Compliance application. On new tab pages in the search help of equipment and functional location in plant maintenance, the user can enter environmental compliance data to be used to search for equipment or functional locations. The system then searches for facilities in the SAP Environmental Compliance application that fulfill the search criteria and determines the equipment or functional location that has been assigned to the facility in the SAP Environmental Compliance application. This equipment or functional location then is the search result in plant maintenance.

This feature improves integration between plant maintenance of SAP ERP and SAP Environmental Compliance, resulting in bidirectional integration of two applications that can leverage data for enterprise wide functions and reporting. This feature improves integration between plant maintenance of SAP ERP and the SAP Environmental Compliance application. The plant maintenance transactions to change and display equipment and functional locations contain a new tab page that shows important data of the facility that has been assigned to the equipment or functional location in the SAP Environmental Compliance application. From the tab page, the user can open the facility iView of SAP Environmental Compliance to display and change all data of the facility directly and therefore the compliance data of the equipment or functional location, because the facility contains all the compliance data of the assigned object.

The takeover and handover workbench combines the functionality of about 20 different transactions that would have to be executed individually to facilitate taking or handing over a complex technical asset.

This feature applies to both takeover and handover. In case of takeover, it involves preparing all the data required by the contractor to carry out and document the overhaul or repair work. SAP ECC 6.0 IMG Enhanced Settings for Order Use In this IMG activity, you define view profiles for the Order which can be used for maintenance. You can assign multiple tab pages to each view profile. In profile we define tabs which are needed in the order view. After creating the profile we assign it to Order types. Advantage of using this field, we can make available the fields or subscreen which should be available in the order view and which are not required we will just deactivate it or we will not activate those subscreen in order. This enhancement feature is available in SAP new version ECC 6.0 with EHP 4.0. Maintenance Order Below figure it shows how Maintenance order is configured. Profile is created as Test to this profile field which are required are assigned as shown and later the same profile is assigned to order type.

The subcontracting solution allows integrated management of maintenance or service order processing with procurement processes to purchase services from an external vendor. It also ensures visibility of parts throughout the time when it is outside the organization, enabling the planner to concentrate on reducing operation costs at reduced inventory.
