Editorial
Un ao ms os invitamos a compartir este nuevo nmero de la revista Bla bla bla de la Escuela Oficial de Idiomas de Crdoba. Este nuevo nmero es, como siempre, una labor de todos y todas, que se hace posible gracias a vuestro inters, tiempo, esfuerzo y entusiasmo. Esta colaboracin es una muestra ms del espritu participativo y de renovacin presente en los diferentes aspectos de la vida de nuestra Escuela, que permite el avance y al progreso de este Centro. Este nmero es muy especial, ya que aparece en el ao en que estamos celebrando el 20 aniversario de la creacin de esta Escuela, que comenz a existir en el curso 1989/90. En estos aos han cambiado muchas cosas: hemos cambiado de sede, se han modificado los planes de estudio, han pasado por el Centro muchas personas cada ao, y la EOI de Crdoba ha crecido mucho, se ha modernizado su gestin, y ha ido adquiriendo mayor relevancia en su entorno. Nos hemos ido adaptando a todas las situaciones y cambios, y entre todos y todas hemos contribuido a forjar lo que es hoy esta Escuela. Este 20 Aniversario ha de ser motivo de orgullo para toda la Comunidad Educativa, ya que formamos parte de una institucin cuya principal meta es contribuir al conocimiento de otras lenguas como va para el entendimiento, la tolerancia y el respeto a las diferentes identidades y a las distintas culturas. Lo que hoy es la EOI de Crdoba es fruto del buen hacer de las personas que han ido pasando por aqu, tanto de alumnado como de profesorado y de Personal de Administracin y Servicios. Hemos dedicado una parte importante de nuestras vidas a esta Escuela, y fruto del esfuerzo de todos y todas tenemos hoy una Escuela que avanza da a da. Un proyecto necesita un buen equipo para llevarlo adelante. Como en ocasiones anteriores, queremos agradecer la colaboracin de todos los que hacis posible que esta iniciativa salga adelante aportando vuestro inters, vuestro tiempo y vuestro esfuerzo. Merece especial mencin la labor incansable de Carmen Snchez, Jefa del Departamento de Actividades Complementarias y Extraescolares, as como la desinteresada colaboracin de nuestro ex alumno Miguel Lpez, que se encarga de realizar la maquetacin de cada edicin. Esperamos que disfrutis con la lectura de esta revista, y os animamos a que continuis participando en la elaboracin de los prximos nmeros. EL EQUIPO DIRECTIVO

Celebracin del 20 aniversario de la EOI de Crdoba

El pasado 22 de enero celebramos el Aniversario de la creacin de la EOI de Crdoba, ya que 1989-90 fue su primer curso de funcionamiento. Esta conmemoracin es muy especial, pues simboliza la consolidacin, el avance y la proyeccin futura de nuestro Centro. En 2011 se cumplirn cien aos del nacimiento de la primera Escuela Oficial de Idiomas, ubicada en Madrid, que por entonces se llam Escuela Central. Hubo que esperar hasta el curso 1970/71 para contar con la primera Escuela Oficial de Idiomas en Andaluca, la EOI de Mlaga. En la actualidad hay en toda Espaa ms de 280 EEOOII, que imparten idiomas de todos los continentes a alumnos y alumnas de todas las edades y de todos los sectores sociales y profesionales. En la EOI de Crdoba son ya cinco los idiomas que se pueden estudiar: alemn, rabe, francs, ingls e italiano. En todos estos aos las Escuelas han ido evolucionando y renovando continuamente sus planteamientos pedaggicos y metodolgicos. En las Escuelas Oficiales de Idiomas se imparte una enseanza de calidad que fomenta el aprendizaje y la actualizacin de los conocimientos de otros idiomas y otras culturas, y que permite la obtencin de la nica titulacin oficial en idiomas vlida en todo el territorio espaol. Durante estos 20 aos la Escuela Oficial de Idiomas de Crdoba ha visto crecer su oferta educativa hasta los cinco idiomas actuales, consolidar su Centro como referente de la enseanza de idiomas en Crdoba, actualizar continuamente su enfoque pedaggico y modernizar sus instalaciones y su gestin. Se espera poder continuar con su crecimiento en un futuro prximo mediante el aumento de su oferta educativa, la ampliacin de su actual sede y la actualizacin tecnolgica de sus dependencias. El acto, que intent recoger el espritu de estos 20 aos a travs de las imgenes y experiencias de estas vivencias, cont con ms de 150 asistentes, entre los que hubo alumnos/as de ahora y de antes, profesorado que ha pasado por el Centro en estos 20 aos de historia, personal de Administracin y Servicios que ha trabajado en la Escuela en algn momento, asesoras del CEP, y una nutrida representacin de la Administracin: el Director del CEP, varios Inspectores, Jefes de Servicio de la Delegacin Provincial de Educacin, la coordinadora del Plan de Fomento de Plurilingismo, as como la Concejala de Educacin del Excmo. Ayuntamiento de Crdoba, D Elena Corts, el Primer Teniente de Alcalde, D. Rafael Blanco, adems de la Delegada de Educacin, D Antonia Reyes, y sus dos antecesoras en el cargo, D M Dolores Alonso y D Araceli Carrillo. Para el personal de la Escuela fue una gran satisfaccin ver que tantas personas que en algn momento han tenido alguna vinculacin con el Centro nos recuerdan con cario y quisieron venir a compartir con nosotros este momento tan especial.

6 - BLA BLA BLA MAYO 2010 - REVISTA DE LA ESCUELA OFICIAL DE IDIOMAS La inauguracin del acto estuvo a cargo del Primer Teniente de Alcalde de Cultura del Excmo. Ayuntamiento de Crdoba, D. Rafael Blanco, de la Delegada de Educacin, D Antonia Reyes, y de la Directora de la EOI de Crdoba, Teresa Lin. Los tres tuvieron palabras muy elogiosas para la Escuela y para su trayectoria a lo largo de estos 20 aos.

Tras la inauguracin, el acto comenz con una charla de D. Margarita Ruiz Schrader, ex Jefa de Protocolo del Ayuntamiento de Crdoba y actual Presidenta del INET (Instituto de Estudios Transnacionales), que tuvo la amabilidad de colaborar en este evento hablndonos, desde su experiencia personal, de la importancia de hablar otras lenguas y conocer otras culturas.

Despus de la charla se dio comienzo a las presentaciones audiovisuales preparadas para reflejar estos 20 aos de existencia. Antonio Ruiz Murcia, alumno de 1 de Nivel Avanzado de Ingls, le dio forma tcnica al material recopilado por el personal de la Escuela, tarea a la que se dedic con una pasin y una entrega encomiables, y que dio como resultado unas presentaciones de gran calidad. En primer lugar se proyectaron imgenes de estos 20 aos, tanto de la sede del Parque Figueroa como de la actual, en las que fue apareciendo personal docente y no docente que ha trabajado en algn momento en la Escuela. Llegado este punto se le realiz una mencin muy especial a un antiguo compaero nuestro, Jess Tejederas, profesor de ingls, que falleci en mayo de 2008, a quien recordamos con gran cario y que siempre tendr un sitio en los corazones de quienes tuvimos la suerte de conocerlo.

REVISTA DE LA ESCUELA OFICIAL DE IDIOMAS - MAYO 2010 - BLA BLA BLA - 7 A la finalizacin de esta proyeccin se le hizo entrega de una placa a cada uno de los siete Directores y Directoras que la EOI de Crdoba ha tenido hasta la fecha, en reconocimiento por su labor. Se cont con la presencia de todos: Csar Morales, Antonio Jimnez, Jos Antonio Calaas, Esther Peralta, Carmen Medina, Inmaculada RodrguezCrdoba, y la actual Directora, Teresa Lin. Todos rememoraron con cario su etapa al frente de la Direccin del Centro.

A continuacin se proyectaron imgenes de alumnado de la Escuela y de actividades que se han realizado a lo largo de los aos: actividades de clase, teatro, jornadas gastronmicas, Da del Libro Nos hicimos una idea de la gran cantidad de personas que a lo largo de estos aos ha pasado por nuestras aulas. Lleg el momento de hacer una mencin a diferentes personas que, por distintas razones, han colaborado con la Escuela y han contribuido a que sea lo que es en la actualidad. A cada una de estas personas se le hizo entrega de una placa conmemorativa con el logotipo del 20 Aniversario de la EOI de Crdoba, diseado por M Luz Len Mrquez, alumna de 1 de Nivel Bsico de Ingls, cuya desinteresada colaboracin le agradecemos nuevamente desde aqu. Recibieron esta mencin: - Humberta Pintor, en representacin de la Asociacin de Antiguos Alumnos de la EOI de Crdoba Trilingua, recibi de manos de Juana Gallego, profesora de ingls, una mencin por la dedicacin y el empeo con que en la Asociacin se esfuerzan por mantener el uso de la lengua que aprendieron en la Escuela. - Gracia Serena, la primera ordenanza que hubo en la Escuela, como representante del Personal de Administracin y Servicios, por su implicacin en la vida del Centro, ya que, al decir de quienes coincidieron con ella, era el alma de la Escuela. Se la entreg Francisco Cobos, profesor de ingls.

8 - BLA BLA BLA MAYO 2010 - REVISTA DE LA ESCUELA OFICIAL DE IDIOMAS - Anastasio Murcia, Inspector de Educacin asignado a este Centro durante muchos aos, recibi de Margarita Calvo, Vicedirectora de la Escuela, una mencin por haberse preocupado siempre por el buen funcionamiento del Centro y por la mejora de las enseanzas especializadas de idiomas en la enseanza pblica. - Encarnacin Lucena Sols, asesora del CEP durante los ltimos ocho aos, mereci una mencin por su dedicacin a la formacin del profesorado de la EOI de Crdoba. No pudo asistir, y la recogi en su nombre Inmaculada Rodrguez-Crdoba, Secretaria de la Escuela. - Miguel Lpez Hidalgo, antiguo alumno de francs del Centro, por su colaboracin realizando la maquetacin de cada edicin de la revista Bla bla bla. Se la entreg Carmen Snchez, Jefa del Departamento de Actividades Complementarias y Extraescolares, coordinadora de las ltimas ediciones de la revista. - M. Teresa Gmez-Casero Gmez-Casero, antigua alumna de francs y de ingls, ex representante de Madres y Padres y madre de representante del alumnado en el Consejo Escolar, por su continua colaboracin con el Centro. La recibi de manos de Rosa Bravo, Jefa del Departamento de Francs. - Martn Garrido Escudero, por su desinteresada realizacin y mantenimiento, durante aos, de la pgina web del Centro. Se la entreg Inmaculada Rodrguez-Crdoba, Secretaria de la Escuela y esposa del homenajeado. Tambin se le entregaron menciones honorficas a M Luz Len Mrquez, por la realizacin del logotipo del 20 Aniversario y la cartelera publicitaria relacionada con este evento, a Antonio Ruiz Murcia, por la realizacin y montaje de las presentaciones audiovisuales, y a Margarita Ruiz Schrader, por su desinteresada colaboracin ofrecindonos la charla inaugural. Tras este momento tan emotivo, lleg la hora de disfrutar del testimonio en vdeo de varios auxiliares de conversacin que han pasado por la Escuela en estos aos: Susann, Marif, Melissa, Angelo y Roberto, en representacin de tantos y tantas auxiliares Logotipo del 20 Aniversario, entraables que han pasado por nuestras aulas, nos contaron cmo diseado por M Luz Len. fue su experiencia en la Escuela y cmo esa etapa, en parte, cambi sus vidas. Nuestros mejores recuerdos desde estas pginas para todos ellos y ellas. Para terminar, se le dio un repaso a la historia de la Escuela a travs de titulares de prensa y vdeos de programas de televisin en los que hemos aparecido. Y es que, como dice el logotipo de este Aniversario, llevamos 20 aos dando que hablar, y mantenemos la ilusin por seguir dando que hablar muchos ms. La copa de despedida fue el broche perfecto para una celebracin repleta de ilusin, de emociones y de recuerdos. Los asistentes al acto recibieron un llavero conmemorativo, con el logotipo del 20 Aniversario, que contribuir a mantener en su memoria este da tan especial. Nuestra felicitacin a toda la Comunidad Educativa del Centro, nuestro agradecimiento a los asistentes al acto, muchos de los cuales recorrieron un largo trayecto para acompaarnos ese da, y nuestra gratitud a todos y todas los que habis hecho posibles estos 20 aos de historia y que la EOI de Crdoba sea lo que es hoy.

Avant darriver lcole de Langues de Cordoue, javais dj t assistante de franais lcole de Pozoblanco lanne prcdente, tout en vivant dans la capitale. Je faisais donc les allers/retours en voiture. A la fin de lanne dernire, jai voulu renouveler cette magnifique exprience, et jai demand, sans savoir si je lobtiendrais, une place lcole de langues de Cordoue, pour ne plus avoir faire 1h de voiture pour aller au boulot. Je vous laisse imaginer ma joie en recevant une rponse positive alors que jtais en France !!! Javais quitt la ville sans savoir si jallais revenir, si jallais revoir mes amisEt voil quon mapporta lexcellente nouvelle, jallais revenir au soleil ( ce moment-l je ne me doutais pas quil pleuvrait autant cet hiver !!), retrouver la Corredera, le salmorejo, la judera, les tapas Les dbuts lcole se sont bien passs ; lcole, les profs et les lves mont trs bien accueillie. La seule chose qui changeait normment de mon exprience prcdente tait le nombre dlves de franais : ils taient beaucoup, beaucoup plus nombreux cette anne !! Je me sens vraiment bien ici, jai un travail en or, qui ne me donne pas la boule au ventre avant dy aller, dans un pays et une ville que jaime. Que rver de mieux ? Pourtant je pense retourner en France lan prochain Enfin, on ne sait jamaisMais si je dcide finalement de partir, pourquoi ne pas revenir plus tard ? Dans un ou deux ans J

Quand je suis arrive Cordoue dbut septembre, je ne mimaginais absolument pas travailler en tant quassistante de franais, et encore moins lEcole Officielle de Langues. Inscrite la Facult de Philosophie et Lettres, je venais faire mes tudes de Gographie en Erasmus. Pour la Bretonne que je suis, cela a t une formidable exprience : sous un soleil de plomb, jai dcouvert encore davantage (javais dj pass des vacances dans la rgion) ce fabuleux mariage entre culture et architecture musulmanes et catholiques, unique en Andalousie. La vie en Espagne est aussi bien diffrente, les matres mots sont : un mlange de tranquillit (absence de stress) et de terrible nergie (peu de sommeil et beaucoup de ftes). La perspective que ma offerte lEOI de Cordoue ma permis denrichir galement mon point de vue : jai reu dbut dcembre un mail de luniversit qui proposait un poste dassistante de franais pour les tudiants trangers. Trs intresse, je me suis donc prsente au rendez-vous et jai t prise. Le travail lEOI est de loin le plus plaisant et enrichissant des autres que jai eu : sinterroger encore davantage sur sa propre langue (en rpondant aux questions pratiques des autres professeurs) et savoir lapprendre et la faire entendre aux lves. Autrement dit, un mlange de curiosit, de patience et dhumilit. Un moment, jai song rester en Espagne ou partir en Amrique Latine lanne prochaine dans lide de poursuivre ce travail dassistante de franais qui me plat beaucoup (synonyme galement de vie ltranger), mais aprs rflexion jai dcid de terminer mes tudes en France. Quoi quil en soit, je suis presque sre de revenir vivre un jour en Espagne
Dove se non a Cordoba?

Il 7 di ottobre del 2009 sotto un sol leone arrivo a Cordoba. Partita da Torino con un tipico clima settembrino, arrivo in una citt che mi accoglie con una luminosa e caldissima giornata che sfiora i trentatr gradi centigradi. Mi avevano gi messo in guardia sulle torride estati andaluse, ma che potessero durare fino a ottobre inoltrato era quasi inimmaginabile. La prima cosa che mi colpisce della citt (oltre al caldo) il cos detto parco de los patos che accompagna 2 grandi corsi, una vera e propria isola verde dove passeggiare dimenticandosi per un attimo di essere nel centro cittadino, calpestando qua e l i numerosi datteri caduti al suolo. Laltra cosa che mi porter sempre nel cuore saranno laccoglienza e il calore delle persone: arrivare in un paese che non il tuo per iniziare una nuova esperienza lavorativa e di vita, unavventura non sempre facile. Dove se non qui avrei potuto essere tranquillizzata dalla professoressa del dipartimento di italiano per linizio di un nuovo lavoro. Professoressa che sempre stata pi unamica che una figura professionale di riferimento, che non solo mi ha appoggiata sotto questo aspetto, ma mi ha accolta nella sua casa, aiutato a trovare un appartamento e ospitata per quasi un mese come se fossimo amiche da sempre. Dove se non qui avrei potuto trovare degli alunni che mi rendessero le lezioni tanto divertenti, facendomi ridere per quasi tutta lora, incuriositi dagli usi e dai costumi italiani, ma allo stesso tempo interessati a me come persona, alla mia esperienza qui a Cordoba, preoccupati che la mia permanenza fosse il pi gradevole possibile. Dove se non qui avrei imparato che alle tre e mezza del pomeriggio non lora della merenda, bens lora del pranzo, che SEMPRE lora giusta per una birra ghiacciata e che i semi di girasole sono uno spuntino pi che normale. Dove se non qui avrei sentito jamona come complimento rivolto a una ragazza, e che dare due baci per presentarsi a qualcuno appena conosciuto non un gesto troppo azzardato! Dove se non a Cordoba avrei potuto innamorarmi cos facilmente di questo Paese e dei suoi abitanti, che semplicemente mi porter sempre nel cuore e che non potr mai dimenticare.

Andalusien, eine kleine Welt mit vielen Facetten

Es war eine groe Freude fr mich an der EOI in Cordoba als Lektorin arbeiten zu drfen. Vom ersten Tag an wurde ich von meinen Kollegen und Schlern herzlich empfangen und habe viele Freundschaften geschlossen, die hoffentlich lange ber die Zeit meines Aufenthalts in Spanien andauern werden. Ich fand es auch schn mich mit den anderen Assistenzlehrern auszutauschen und nebenbei meine Franzsischund Englischkenntnisse aufzufrischen. Die Sprachschule war fr mich ein Ort voller Menschen mit groem Interesse an anderen Kulturen, die auch selbst viel aus ihrer Kultur zu erzhlen wussten. Interessant war es fr mich von den Deutschschlern mehr ber die spanische Kultur und die spanischen Bruche zu lernen um sie dann mit der deutschen Kultur zu vergleichen. Dadurch sehe ich nun auch meine eigene Kultur mit anderen Augen. Cordoba habe ich als eine Stadt mit vielen Facetten kennengelernt. Die wunderschne Altstadt mit ihren kleinen verwinkelten Gassen hat mich von Anfang in ihren Bann gezogen. An den Wochenenden hatte ich Gelegenheit mehr von Andalusien kennen zu lernen. Whrend Granada mich durch seine mrchenhafte Landschaft verzaubert hat, hat Cadiz mich vor allem durch seine Offenheit fr alles Neue und seine wunderschnen Buchten und Strnde fasziniert. An Sevilla hat mir vor allem die Freundlichkeit und Freude der Bewohner gefallen. Ich werde mich immer an das wunderschne Wochenende erinnern, das ich bei meiner Kollegin Carmen Castro und ihrer Familie in Sevilla verbrachte. Zum Schluss noch eine kleine Anekdote ber meinen Ausflug nach Baena und was dieser mich in Punkto kritischer Umgang mit teuren Reisefhrern gelehrt hat: In meinem Reisefhrer war ein Foto einer prchtigen Burg abgebildet mit der Unterschrift Baena. Ich war sofort beeindruckt und beschloss spontan an einem freien Montag mit dem Bus nach Baena zu fahren. Dort angekommen fragte ich eine ltere Dame nach dem Weg zu besagter Burg. Sie sah mich verwundert an und antwortete: Diese Burg gibt es nicht mehr. Das sind nur noch Ruinen. Ich konnte es kaum glauben, hatte ich doch einen aktuellen Reisefhrer gekauft. Auerdem konnte doch eine Burg wohl kaum innerhalb weniger Monate derart zerfallen!? Es stellte sich schlielich heraus, dass das Foto auf der falschen Seite im Reisefhrer abgedruckt worden war. Trotz der Enttuschung lie ich mir die Laune nicht verderben und machte mich auf Ratschlag eines freundlichen Kioskverkufers auf den Weg zur Kirche, die die Stadt an ihrem hchsten Punkt krnte. Leider fand ich die Kirche verschlossen vor. Und auch das Olivenl- und Geschichtsmuseum waren montags leider zu. In einem Restaurant unterhielt ich mich mit zwei einheimischen lteren Herren, die mir von ihrem Leben in Baena erzhlten. Beide waren in Baena geboren und hatten ihr ganzes Leben dort verbracht. Als ich sie daraufhin fragte, was man in Baena an einem Montag denn tun knnte, antworteten sie mir nach einer nachdenklichen Pause: Pues nada. Nichts. Ich war sehr berrascht mit welcher Zufriedenheit diese beiden Mnner ihr ganzes Leben in dieser Stadt verbrachten. Sie brauchten nicht viel Ablenkung um glcklich zu sein. Sie hatten sich, ihre Familie und Freunde und mehr brauchten sie nicht. Wie viele nicht halb so zufriedene Menschen habe ich in den groen und hektischen Stdten New York und Chicago whrend meines Auslandsstudiums in den USA kennen gelernt? Ich war dankbar fr diese Erfahrung, die ich durch den kleinen Druckfehler in meinem Reisefhrer machen durfte. Ich freue mich allerdings darauf die Burg in der kommenden Woche, die ich mit einigen Freunden in Almodovar del Rio besuchen werde. Reading English literature in English and French at Crdoba Public Library Over two years ago, the Public Library in Lepanto created a new book club for English readers. There is also another one in French and of course quite a few more in Spanish. Basically, what we do is to read a novel written in English every month. We do not read translations, all the books originally written in English. In June 2009 we made a list with our preferred titles and authors for 2010-11, and the library just bought them for us. Only in a few cases did we get the author but not the title we wanted. The books are around three hundred pages long. That way we have enough time to read, because we meet once a month. Due to the number of people interested, there are two groups this year; one meets on Mondays and the other on Thursdays. We do not have to buy the book, we get it from the library as a loan for five weeks. It is not included in the three books you can borrow at a time. What do we do in the book club? After we have read the book of the month, we talk about it. Each book club has a leader who introduces the book, gives a few insights and moderates the discussion. Everybody is free to say whatever they feel about the book. It is indeed very enriching; one can go in with a previous idea about the book and leave afterwards with many more different points of view. The one I attend is wonderfully mastered by Mrs Maureen McMillan and Mr Adam Hodge. They really know how to open new lines of discussion without interfering and they also help us with our English. You do not have to be a bookworm: just love literature and respect other peoples ideas. UNSERE REISE NACH KLN Im Freilichtmuseum am 15. Februar Sonntag gingen wir zum Freilichtmuseum. Der Bau des Museums begann 1958. 1959 wurde die Windmhle aus Spiel errichtet. Das Museum zeigt, wie das Leben der Landwirte war. Es schneite und wir spielten mit dem Schnee. Es war lustig. Sehr hbsch und elegant sehen Tausende verkleideter Leuten in dieser Stadt aus.

One experience in Ireland thanks to Comenius Grant

Morning in sees Dublin. Its 13th of July. Im going to Heuston station to go to Limerick. Its early. Today I start my English course. Its a European course thanks to a Comenius grant. When a school colleague said to me: M Carmen, there is a grant in order to improve your English with other European teachers. At first I thought that it was impossible. I had never travelled before without my family for two weeks. But after thinking about it and talking about it at home, I thought why not? So Im here, in Limerick, in the third most important town of the Republic of Ireland. It has a beautiful emplacement. The most important river of the country, the Shannon river, flows through it. This town was conquered by Vikings in IX Century becoming very important in the medieval age. Im walking around of the University campus. Its one the most important and beautiful campuses. It has some bridges, buildings, restaurants, and accommodations. Ive already met other students from of my group. We are 54 teachers from several countries: Austrian, Belgian, Finland, Germany, France, Turkey, Rumania, Poland, and Spain of course. 15th July. We visited Limerick town hall, King Johns castle, eight hundred years of age. Weve been walking in the streets, and speaking with Irish people. 16th July. Today is an important day for me. Im nervous because I have to explain the bilingual project of my high school. Each of us has seven minutes for their explanation. Ive prepared a presentation with pictures and colour so that its more attractive. This afternoon we will have a party in order to taste food and drinks from each country. Spanish people will cook mainly the Spanish omelette. 20th July. Last weekend we went to a trip to see the famous Cliffs of Moher and Galway, which was a usual destination for Spanish boats in XV and XVI centuries. There is still a Spanish arch called the Spanish Parade. Tomorrow we will visit the Hunter museum with an important art collection of painters from Picasso, to Vinci and Renoir. 24th July. The hurling day. Hurling is a sport which has a lot of supporters. Its similar to grass hockey but you can catch the ball with the hands. In the afternoon most people play hurling. Finally we had a farewell party for all the students, Irish teachers and the head manager of the University. To sum up, its good that people are meeting via the English Language and creating friendship through it. I could say that to know people from other countries helps to respect their rules, lifestyles, and minds. Personally it has been a fantastic experience. Carmen Arroyo, NA1F

beaucoup de devoirs la maison tous les jours et moi je ne pouvais pas tout terminer. Au lyce, jtais une bonne lve, jaimais beaucoup les maths et la littrature, javais toujours de bonnes notes. Pour aller au lyce, il fallait marcher pendant 35 minutes, ctait trs fatigant. Heureusement, javais une amie qui habitait prs de chez moi et on y allait ensemble tous les jours. Quand jtais en Terminale, je ne savais pas pourquoi exactement mais je dtestais lhistoire. Javais cours dhistoire les mercredis de 14h 16h, ctait lheure de la sieste. Je mendormais et je mennuyais beaucoup. Saholinirina Jai beaucoup de bons souvenirs de mes annes dcole. Mon premier jour de classe, quand javais trois ans, jai beaucoup pleur parce que javais peur. Jadorais le prof de musique: il avait toujours lair content et il tait trs gentil. Je garde plutt des souvenirs de mes camarades de classe. On jouait beaucoup dans la cour quand nous tions petits. Jallais lcole du lundi au vendredi, toute la matine. Aprs, je mangeais la cantine. Laprsmidi, nous pouvions faire des activits comme de la peinture et du thtre. On navait pas de devoirs. lcole, mes matires prfres taient lhistoire et la littrature. Jtais une trs bonne lve. Jtais travailleuse et discipline. Cest pour a que javais toujours de bonnes notes. Les punitions taient trs simples: si je ntais pas gentille, je ne pouvais pas jouer dans la cour! Elena Je me rappelle mes annes lcole maternelle, quand javais quatre ans. Javais une institutrice trs grosse et trs affectueuse. Elle ntait pas trs jeune, mais elle avait beaucoup dnergie. On dessinait avec les doigts et ctait gnial!! On lisait beaucoup et on faisait du sport. Jtais dans la classe rouge et il y avait la classe bleue et la classe verte. Mon meilleur ami, je lai rencontr lcole maternelle il y a 12 ans et aujourdhui il est aussi dans ma classe. Quelques fois, jtais punie parce que je criais et je bavardais trop mais je russissais tous mes examens, jtais une trs bonne lve! Je ne me rappelle pas mon premier jour dcole parce que jtais trop petite, je crois que javais six ans. Mes parents mont dit que jai pleur un peu au dbut, mais aprs ctait amusant daller lcole. Jai beaucoup de bons souvenirs de mes annes dcole. Par exemple, je me rappelle quon jouait au gendarme et au voleur pendant la rcration et quon chantait en classe de temps en temps. Mais on avait aussi beaucoup de devoirs faire la maison. Et puis, au collge, je me rappelle que mes amis et moi, on parlait et rigolait dans la cour avant de reprendre les cours. Ctait un bon souvenir. Au lyce, je me rappelle que mes matires prfres taient lhistoire de lart et le franais. Finalement, quand jtais lcole et au lyce jtais travailleuse et ce que jaimais le plus, ctait passer de bons moments avec mes copines. Ma matire prfre tait l anglais mais la prof tait trop sevre avec moi et elle me punissait trs souvent. Un jour ma matresse m a punie et j ai d rester manger la cantine. Un autre jour elle m a oblige faire la sieste l cole parce que je n avais pas fait mes devoirs. Pepa Au lyce, je n ai pas t une bonne lve ! Je n aimais pas y aller et alors, je faisais beaucoup de btises, je bavardais beaucoup et je ne faisais pas toujours mes devoirs. On ne pouvait pas fumer mais quelques copines et moi on allait fumer aux toilettes. J ai t colle quelques fois mais je n avais pas de mau-vaises notes. Je suis professeur d anglais mais au lyce j ai appris le franais. l poque on apprenait tout par coeur: les rgles de grammaire, les conjugaisons, les listes de vocabulaire ... mais en cours on ne parlait jamais en franais! Icar Quand j tais petit j allais avec mes frres et mes cousins dans une cole prive tout prs de chez moi. Je me souviens surtout de deux professeurs : Don Pedro qui tait le professeur d histoire et Don Eduardo, celui de maths. Ils taient tous les deux trs srieux, ils avaient souvent lair fch, ils portaient toujours une cravate noire et ils nous vouvoyaient. cette poque-l il y avait cours l aprs-midi et on rentrait chez nous 7 heures du soir. La fte la plus importante tait celle de Monsieur le Proviseur et une fois par an on allait manger et jouer au foot la campagne avec les profs. Les punitions taient trs dures: les profs pouvaient nous battre et, pour nous punir, ils nous laissaient enferms dans la classe l heure du djeuner. Ctait un pass imparfait!!! Eduardo De mon temps la matresse tait vraiment autoritaire, on devait tre sages et on travaillait beaucoup. cette poque-l on apprenait par coeur la conjugaison des verbes, on faisait beaucoup de dictes, on faisait des calculs trs vite, on rsolvait des problmes et on ne parlait jamais en cours. Maintenant, cest la matresse qui a peur des lves: ils bavardent beaucoup, font des btises et chahutent tout le temps. Quand j tais petite on jouait et on courait tous ensemble dans la cour de rcration, maintenant les enfants jouent tous seuls aux jeux-vido. Je me rappelle qu on tait punis se mettre genoux, copier la mme chose cent fois, rester dans la classe pendant la rcration. Maintenant les enfants schent les cours, se disputent et se bagarrent et ils ne sont pas punis. Raquel Mes meilleurs souvenirs d cole sont mes annes d colire. Je me souviens avec tendresse de mes camarades, des salles de classe, des balanoires et des jeux de la cour de rcration. Je me souviens aussi de mes institutrices, qui taient trs gentilles et affectueuses. Du lyce, je garde un trs bon souvenir de mon prof d anglais dont je suis tombe amoureuse et de sa matire aussi puisque je suis professeur danglais!!! Il y avait beaucoup de discipline: si on chahutait, on faisait des btises en cours ou on schait les cours on tait en retenue aprs les cours. Une pionne nous surveillait pendant les heures de colle ou, pire encore, le proviseur nous grondait svrement ou pouvait aussi nous renvoyer! Marina

Eine woche in Berlin

Im letzten Sommer reiste ich mit meinem Freund nach Deutschland. Dort blieben wir vom 18. August bis zum 25. August. Am 18. August nahmen wir ein Flugzeug auf dem Flughafen von Malaga. Gegen 15 Uhr landeten wir auf den Flughafen Berlin-Schnefeld. Unser Hotel liegt stlich von Berlin, deshalb mussten wir die Straenbahn nehmen. Am ersten Tag besuchten wir den Alexanderplatz, das Rote Rathaus und die Quelle von Neptuno, wir fuhren mit der Straenbahn oder mit der U-Bahn. Am zweiten Tag fuhren wir mit einem Schiff durch die Spree und wir sahen die ganze Stadt von Osten bis Westen. Als wir auf dem Schiff waren, lernten wir ein Mdchen kennen, das sehr gut Spanisch sprach. Sie erklrte uns die Geschichte der Berliner Mauer. Sie hie Anna und sie ist auch in Berlin geboren. Am dritten Tag besuchten wir drei Museen. Zuerst gingen wir ins Neue Museum. Dor t sahen wir den Nefer titi-Kopf und zahlreiche Bildhauerkunst aus Egypten und anderen Kulturen. Dann besuchten wir das Pergamon-Museum. Das PergamonMuseum enthlt Sammlungen dreier Museen: der Antikemsammlung, des Museums fr islamische Kunst und des Vorderasiatischen Museums. Das Museum Zeigt verschiedene architektonische Monumente wie: der Pergamonaltar, das Markttor von Miltet und das Ischtar Tor. Spter gingen wir zum Jdischen Museum. Schlielich gingen wir zum Hotel Zruck, weil ich es sehr langweilig fand. Unser Hotel war super. In meinem Zimmer gab es ein Fernsehen und ein Einzelbett, auerdem gab es auch ein Schwimmbad. Der Tag danach regnete es sehr viel, trotzdem gingen wir zum Brandenburger Tor und besichtigten die Reichtagskuppel. Diese Monumente sind sehr wichtig in der Stadt, weil sie viel Geschichte haben. Als der Zweite Weltkrieg endete, war die ganze Stadt zerstrt. Am fnften und sechsten Tag nahmen wir einen Zug, um in den Strand zu fahren. Wir fuhren nach Rostock. Rostock liegt nrdlich von Deutschland. Es ist eine kleine Stadt. Dort machen die Einwohner von Berlin Urlaub. Als wir in Rostock ankamen, mieteten wir zwei Fahrrder. Am 25. August mussten wir nach Berlin zurckfahren, weil wir ein Flugzeug nehmen mussten. Endlich landeten wir in Malaga. Es war wunderbar. Juan Manuel Morales Gaviln, NB2
La Provincia di Cordova
Ha un estensione di 13.717 chilometri, la sua posizione centrale nella regione, e il fatto di essere un incrocio di comunicazione ha contribuito molto al suo ruolo di protagonista nella storia antica medioevale. E attraversata da est ad ovest dal fiume Guadalquivir, che irriga la vallata e divide la provincia in due. Ci sono delle ricchezze forestali nel nord con delle fasce ricche di cacciaggione. Il Sud offre enormi piantagioni di ulivi e vigneti. La provincia di Cordoba ha tre parchi Nazionali: Sierra de Hornachuelos ad ovest, Sierra de Montoro e Cardea al centro-est e Sierra della Subbtica al sudest della provincia.
LA SIERRA Ci sono pi di cento chilometri da Cordova citt, fino al confine nord della provincia nei pressi di Ciudad Real. Questa parte molto meno popolata della Campia. Ci sono alcuni paesi d interesse come Hinojosa del Duque con la sua cosidetta Cattedrale della Sierra, la Chiesa di S.Juan Bautista, Belalcazar e Belmez, paesi conosciuti per i loro castelli e per finire il capoluogo, Pozoblanco, vero motore economico e sociales della zona.
Il Clima mediterraneo, estate calda e invierno piacevolmente mite.Il fiume Guadalquivir viene fornito dalle acque di parecchi affluenti come il Guadiato, el Bembezar e il Genil. Nel dintorni di Medina Azahara, ai piedi della Sierra, s innalza il Monastero di S.Jeronimo de Valaparaiso, il quale ebbe il suo grande splendore nel XV e XVI secolo. Oggi propriet privata. Contiene un bellissimo chiostro gotico ed altre stanze d interesse. SE ci adentrassimo attraverso la piccola strada fino al paese di Trassierra avremmo l opportunit di conoscere diversi Santuari e chiese, tra cui Santa maria de Trassierra esempio di stile gotico-plateresco. In questa chiesa fu cappellano il poeta Luis de Gngora. Si potrebbe fare un altra fermata nelleErmitas, sebbene non abbiano un grande valores artistico, ci offrirebbero invece una splendida veduta della pianura cordovese.
LA VALLATA Lungo il fiume da ovest ad est, emergono paesi come : Palma del Ro con splendidi campi di aranci e il bellissimo monastero di S.Francisco. Se continuiamo per la stessa strada troviamo Almodovar del Ro con il suo castello, di origine araba che spicca sul monte.

Due esempi: La Carlota e la Luisiana: ambe due lungo lasse stradale Crdoba-Sevilla. LA SUBBETICA Il Parco di cui abbiamo gi parlato, ci offre dei paesaggi naturale di grande interesse. Cabra: di origine molto antica possiede la Chiesa di S.Juan Bautista, del VII secolo, uno dei templi pi antinchi dell Andalusia. Priego, l autentico gioiello barocco: offre molte fontane, tra cui spunta la Fontana del Re. Nella zona alta le coltivazioni pi rappresentative sono le vigne ed anche gli ulivi. Essa riunisce importanti paesi come Montilla, famosa per i vini e le cantine, oltre alle chiese e conventi che conserva. Inoltre si pu visitare la casa natale del Inca Garcilaso. Montemayor un paese conosciuto per il suo castello, esempio particolare d archittetura militare del XIV secolo, e conserva un importantissimo archivio. Lucena, colonia ebraica nel medioevo, un paese famoso per l artigianato in ferro battuto. L si trova la Torre del Moral, un tempo prigione di Boabdil, l ultimo Re Nazari. Zuheros arrampicato sul monte, conserva ancora dei resti dell antica fortezza medievale. Il paesaggio molto attraente. Zuheros e anche famoso per la grotta dei pipistrelli, d interesse paleontologico e naturalistico dove ci sono pittre rupestri e stalattiti. Ana Ortega, NA2

Nos lves voyagent beaucoup

Il y en a qui le font cause de leurs tudes ou de leur travail, il y en a dautres qui le font pour le plaisir... et il y en a mme qui le font virtuellement. Aujourdhui, il ny a pas quune seule faon de voyager. En tout cas, ils veulent partager leurs expriences et nous apprendre beaucoup de choses. Alors, profitons-en!!
En dcouvrant la Belgique, une Experience Inoubliable. Allez-y!!!

Je vais vous parler de mon exprience en Belgique. Jy suis all il y a six ans pour complter mes tudes de biologie dans un laboratoire. Jai t l-bas pendant neuf mois et je peux dire que ctait une exprience quil faut raconter. Au dbut, jtais trs stress parce que je navais jamais voyag ltranger avant. Jai choisi Gand, cest une ville moyenne au Nord du pays, dans la rgion Flamande de La Belgique. Je me suis install dans un foyer dtudiants que je ne connaissais pas. Je me souviens que le premier jour l-bas, je nai vu personne, alors, jai eu une grosse dprime. Mais peu peu, je me suis fait de nouveaux amis que japprcie actuellement. Le foyer dtudiants tait plein de gens qui venaient du monde entier. Il y avait beaucoup dEspagnols, cest pour a que je nai pas pratiqu la langue trangre au dbut. Jtais vraiment surpris parce que tout le monde parlait couramment anglais, mme les mendiants dans la rue!! Quand je me suis habitu vivre Gand, jai dcouvert une ville merveilleuse. Jai profit des beaux endroits, des formidables bires et des gens, qui faisaient preuve dhospitalit et damabilit avec moi. Je sortais presque tous les jours avec mes amis espagnols et aussi dautres pays: La Chine, Le Sngal, LEgypte, La Pologne, LAllemagne et La Belgique, bien sr! On prenait nos vlos et on se promenait autour des canaux, ou on faisait aussi la fte. En plus, comme Gand est une ville qui est prs dautres villes magnifiques, par exemple Brugges, Bruxelles, Amsterdam etc. on a beaucoup voyag. On prenait toujours le train parce que ctait le transport en commun le moins cher et le plus confortable. On a appris beaucoup de choses et des cultures diffrentes pendant ces voyages. Par rapport au travail, jai beaucoup travaill mais il y avait une bonne ambiance de travail dans ce laboratoire. Gestern ging ich am Fluss entlang spazieren und ich sah, dass das Wasser und der Himmel nur eins waren. Der Fluss hatte eine besondere Atmosphre, weil das Licht wunderschn gegen Abend war. Danach ging ich bis zur Moschee und ich ging durch die schmalen Gassen vom Judenviertel. Ich fand ein altes Haus, sein Fenster war offen. Ich sah dadurch, seine Wnde erzhlten Geschichten ber Liebe und Melancholie. Seine Gravuren haben wie ein Tagebuch gesprochen. Ein nacktes Echo rund um den Winkel versteckte sich und spielte. Immer wenn ich die Einsamkeit von jenem Raum sah, dann erinnerte ich mich an dich, damals hrte ich ganz in der Nhe ein Gebell, dachte nach und blieb ganz in mich gekehrt, danach kam ich wieder zu mir. Ich ging mit seiner Erinnerung nach Hause, dann rief ich dich an, aber du warst schon gegangen. Litinerario degli ascensori

Cari lettori,vi voglio proporre un itinerario totalmente diverso nella citt di Cordova. Vorrei che vi possiate sentire per un giorno come un tecnico di ascensori. Diamoci appuntamento alle 9 del mattino, indispensabile vestirsi con la nostra tuta azzurra,per non suscitare sospetti tra gli abitanti dei condomini.Iniziamo litinerario dal viale Ronda de los Tejares 13, dobbiamo scendere ai suoi garagi per scoprire una parte dellantica muraglia romana e siccome conosciamo il portiere, possiamo visitare anche delle rovine di una casa romana. vista aerea del palazzo di Maximiliano. Poi prendiamo làutobus fino alla piazza de La Magdalena al numero 13, possiamo vedere mentre facciamo la revisione dell ascensore- 2 tombe romane che si trovano l; In seguito, ci dirigiamo verso il Ponte Romano passeggiando dal ruscello, arriviamo di fronte al ponte, per andiamo prima alla taverna Santos, nella Juderia, perch sar circa lùna e possiamo gi fare uno spuntino, possiamo mangiare La Tortilla de patatas (frittata di patate) e Boquerones en Vinagre (acciughe sottaceto), sono piatti tipici di questa taverna.Poi ritorniamo al Ponte Romano ma ci dirigiamo verso il palazzo del Vescovo, prima visitiamo il seminario, si possono vedere diverse opere dàrte, ci sono pitture, statue, porcellane, ritratti molti diversi e possiamo parlare con qualche seminarista del tempo che fa. In seguito -controlliamo làscensore del Vescovo-,visitiamo la sua casa e a parte i suoi ritatti e diverse opere dàr te, cè` una vista speciale del ponte romano, e se abbiamo fortuna possiamo incontrare il Vescovo e ci puo` firmare la ricevuta della revisione; Saranno ormai le 2, prendiamo làutobus e ci dirigiamo in via Albeniz 4 al bar flores y sabores, prendiamo il menu fisso con primo, secondo piatto e dolce e con questo finiamo lìtinerario. Penso che sia un itinerario molto interessante giacche insolito per un turista che invece, nei panni di un tecnico di ascensori, potrebbe godere delle visite e delle viste che vi propongo.

Die etwas andere Stadtfhrung

Vom Flughafen nahm ich ein Taxi in die Altstadt von Havanna. Der alte Cadillac gehrte eigentlich ins Museum, und als ich ausstieg, fhlte ich mich in eine lngst vergangene Epoche zurckversetzt. Hier schien die Zeit stehen geblieben zu sein.Vor mir stand das Capitol, eine exakte Kopie des amerikanischen Parlamentsgebudes in Washington. In langen Reihen parkten die Straenkreuzer, so als wrden sie noch immer auf die Unterwelt warten, die vor der kubanischen Revolution die Stadt mit Glcksspiel und Prostitution in ihren Hnden hielten. Ein Mann fotografierte ein Brautpaar mit einer alten Balkenkamera. Ich stand etwas verloren herum, als mich eine Frau fragte, ob ich eine casa particular suche. Sie nahm mich mit in ihr Haus, wo sie gemeinsam mit ihrer Mutter lebte. Das Haus war nicht gerade sehr gemtlich. Im Wohnzimmer stand ein Sofa vor kahlen Betonwnden und eine Treppe fhrte in den ersten Stock. Mein Zimmer gefiel mir aber. Das Bett war so gro, dass zwischen Bett und Wand kaum Platz zum Umdrehen war. Eine schwache Nachttischlampe beleuchtete den fensterlosen Raum. Sie meinte, dass Chicas kein Problem wren und ich begann meinen Rucksack auszupacken. Vor dem Hotel Inglesia setzte ich mich in ein Caf und lie die Bilder von Havanna auf mich wirken. Nebenan sa eine Frau mit langen, schwarzen Haaren, die zu einem Pferdeschwanz zusammengebunden waren. Ich lud sie auf einen Kaffee ein und als lange Zeit niemand kam, um die Bestellung aufzunehmen, ging ich hinein. Da ich sie nicht kannte, nahm ich meinen Tagesrucksack mit. Nachdem ich zurck war, stand sie auf, ffnete ihre Tasche, drehte sie um und kippte den Inhalt auf den Tisch aus. Sie kniff ihre Augenbrauen zusammen, was ihrem schmalen Gesicht eine unwiderstehliche Strenge gab, und sagte sarkastisch, sie msse sich kurz die Nase pudern. Das spanische Temperament spiegelte sich in ihren Augen wieder. Danach sammelte sie ihre Sachen ein und wir gingen in die La Bodeguita del Medio...

Als wir in La Bodeguita del Medio waren, sprachen wir ber unser Leben und ich fhlte mich sehr wohl mit ihr. Ich erzhlte ihr ber meine Reise und wir aen ein leckeres Essen. Nach dem Essen gingen wir in eine Kneipe, wo ich den wirklichen Rum kosten konnte. Der Platz war ein bisschen komisch, weil es viele Betrunkene gab und ich hatte Angst vor der Situation. Dann gingen wir nach Hause und wir tauschten unsere Nummern aus. Am nchsten Tag habe ich viel an das Mdchen gedacht, aber ich wollte, dass sie sich zuerst bei mir meldete. Dann machte ich einen Ausflug und auf diesem Ausflug habe ich bemerkt, dass das Leben sehr verschieden war. Die Leute lebten in sehr rmlichen Verhltnissen, aber zur gleichen Zeit sehr glcklich. Es gab viele Musiker auf der Strae und viele Kinder, die den ganzen Tag Fuball spielten. Nach dem Ausflug ging ich in La Bodeguita del Medio, weil ich vermutete, dass ich sie dort finden knnte. Ich wartete dort fast zwei Stunden und da ich keine Chance hatte, entschied ich mich nach Hause zu gehen. Whrend ich schlief, gab es viel Lrm in der Wohnung, deshalb konnte ich nicht gut ausruhen. Ich fand, dass die Leute sehr laut dort waren und sie gingen normalerweise sehr spt ins Bett. An nchsten Tag ging ich auf einen schnen Markt, wo man sehr billige Sachen kaufen konnte und pltzlich sah ich die Frau, die ich in dem Caf kennengelernt hatte. Sie ging aber an mir vorbei, als ob sie mich nicht gesehen htte. Ich konnte es nicht glauben, weil sie als wir in La Bodeguita del Medio waren, zu mir sehr freundlich gewesen war. Je mehr ich an die Frau dachte, desto weniger verstand ich. Am letzten Tag habe ich eine SMS bekommen, die von der Frau war. Sie wollte sich nur von mir verabschieden, aber ich wollte sie nicht sehen, weil es schn zu spt war.

Jai deux bonnes amies: Luca et Mila. Luca et moi on ne se ressemble pas du tout. Elle est bavarde, trs sociable et un peu pessimiste, et moi je suis plus timide et cool mais trs optimiste. Mais nous avons aussi des points en commun, par exemple, nous sommes toutes les deux un peu maniaques. Luca, cest quelquun qui mcoute quand jai des problmes, cest quelquun avec qui je mentends trs bien et qui je peux tlphoner tous les jours. Elle est adorable et je laime infiniment. Mila cest mon amie depuis 3 ans. On est toutes les deux un peu timides mais trs curieuses, et elle, cest quelquun avec qui je peux partager mon amour pour lhistoire et lart, avec qui je peux faire des voyages, cest quelquun qui je peux tout raconter et cest quelquun qui maccepte comme je suis. mon avis, il ne faut pas ressembler ses amis pour bien sentendre avec eux. Par exemple, jai des amis qui je ne ressemble pas et on sentend trs bien. Cest vrai quil faut quil y ait des points en commun et il faut avoir plus ou moins les mmes gots pour pouvoir faire des choses ensemble les aprs-midi mais cest normal sil y a des diffrences et cest bien parce que comme a on connat dautres points de vue. Joaqun mon avis, il faut ressembler ses amis pour bien sentendre avec eux. Mes amis et moi aimons faire les mmes choses, nous aimons lire, couter de la musique, parler entre nousnous avons des points de vue semblables. Mes amis me ressemblent, nous sommes calmes et rigolos. Je pense quil ne faut pas ressembler ses amis. On peut bien sentendre si on comprend les ides des autres personnes. En fait, je crois que si on ressemble trop un ami, on peut sennuyer et on peut avoir aussi des problmes avec lui. Par exemple, si javais les mmes gots que mon amie, je pourrais aimer son petit copain. Imaginez. Mara mon avis, il faut voir rgulirement ses amis pour les garder, parce que, par exemple, moi, jai chang de collge et maintenant je suis dans un nouveau lyce. Dear Sir/ Madam, I am writing to bring to your attention a very controversial topic which currently generates a great deal of heated debate in our society: immigration. I would like to ask if racial prejudices live on in our country. Of course, I know everyone in this town has their own opinion about the advisability of accepting new immigrants in our cities. However, all of you will agree with me that immigration is undeniably a phenomenon innate to human beings. Throughout history, men have needed to move around in search of a new life and prosperity. Many were escaping unemployment, poor housing, overpopulation and wars. I am sure you do not need me to tell you what a hard decision it must be to leave behind your home and your family. Some people believe that immigration is an excellent way to promote greater understanding and tolerance between nations, and create a multiracial society with religious and cultural diversity. We are all different, but we are also all remarkably the same. Immigrants are often invited to a new country in time of economic boom when a bigger workforce is needed. Problems arise when the jobs run out, especially in financial crisis like the one we are going through. For this reason, our country is experiencing a strong wave of anti-immigrant feeling. The truth is that they make an important contribution to this state. They do a lot of jobs that natives will not do, and do their best. However people repay them with hatred or, at best, indifference. All of you will agree with me that this is an absolutely hypocritical stance. When we need them we take advantage of their energy but when the bubble bursts we wish they would vanish without trace. Well, this is only a brief summation about this topic. Let me say only a final reflection: We must be sympathetic to immigrants and plan carefully in order to integrate them. REVISTA DE LA ESCUELA OFICIAL DE IDIOMAS - MAYO 2010 - BLA BLA BLA - 29 Dear Sir or Madam, I would like to bring to your attention the unjust consideration that women, generally speaking, receive in our modern societies, despite the great legal advances that have been made. What I would like emphasize is the fact that a belittled image of women may have been transmitted long centuries ago by ancient cultures, such as the Semitic or our Indo-European culture. As a result, we could even say that this unfair image of women is a phylogenetic phenomenon. To illustrate my point, I will bring to your consideration a magnificent iconic Greek myth. There exists an example of ancient Greek mythology, from Indo- European culture of course, which constitutes a genuine literary masterpiece: Pandoras Jar (or Box), written by Hesiod (Works and Days, vv. 59-106). Hesiod defines Pandora with a wide range of ruthless epithets, for instance, as an evil thing, beautifully dressed only to bring ruin to men: golden Aphrodite shed grace upon her head and cruel longing a shameless mind and a deceitful nature And Zeus called this woman Pandora, because all they who dwelt on Olympus gave each a gift, a plague to men who eat bread. Although this work of art verges on genius, and despite the fact that the mythic explanation of Hopes origin among human beings is perhaps, to be honest, the best myth created by mankind, I feel very strongly that Pandoras Jar seems to be an unspeakably wrong justification of original sin, which lays blame entirely on this evil gift, in a nutshell, exclusively on women. Similarly, in Semitic culture, we find the famous Genesis text (Old Testament) about Adam and Eve. Quel Bonheur... !
Quel bonheur de me retrouver avec mes lves de lanne dernire autour dune grande table pour dguster un menu hors pair!
On sest tous donn rendez-vous au lyce 15h30, jeudi dernier, pour un repas trs original!
Une trs belle table, avec beaucoup de couver ts, nous attendait. Puis, les plats ont commenc se succder. On a dcouvert des assiettes aussi originales les unes que les autres, trs joliment dcores avec des couleurs et beaucoup de saveur! Je dois dire quon a beaucoup mang Je my revois encore: Ah! Ce soir, je ne mange pas et encore moins demain, cest trop! Je nen peux plus!. Mais bon, je dois dire quil restait encore une petite place pour le dessert. Ah! Jai encore la saveur de la mousse au chocolat et rien que dy penser, a me donne leau la bouche! On a vraiment pass un bon moment! Merci au chef pour ce super menu et aussi lquipe qui sest si bien occupe de nous. Je nai quune phrase ajouter: quand est-ce quon y retourne?

Actividades del Departamento ACE

En primer lugar me gustara agradecer la participacin que toda la comunidad educativa est teniendo este ao en todas y cada una de las actividades que se estn llevando a cabo desde el departamento de actividades complementarias y extraescolares. Todas estas actividades tienen como objetivo el acercamiento y la convivencia de todo nuestro alumnado y el conocimiento de otras culturas, que no hacen otra cosa que enriquecer nuestra propia persona. Fiesta de Navidad La primera gran actividad interdepartamental que se organiz este curso fue la fiesta de Navidad. Nuestra Escuela se llen de multitud de bolas navideas de gran colorido y diversos tamaos, de gran originalidad y vistosidad, aprovechando las ya realizadas por los alumnos en el ao anterior, y nuevas de este ao. Algunas de ellas reflejaban en su interior un mensaje navideo en los distintos idiomas impar tidos en la escuela. Al igual que el ao anterior tambin hubo tiempo para la solidaridad, y bajo el lema SOLIDAREOIZATE se recogieron alimentos para ayudar a familias a pasar una Navidad un poco ms dulce. Gracias a todos, pues la respuesta fue masiva y la parroquia del Barrio del Naranjo se encarg de hacer llegar los alimentos recogidos a dichas familias. En nuestra tradicional fiesta celebrada los das 16 y 17 de diciembre este ao el alumnado particip en una caza de palabras, en la que los asistentes a la fiesta tuvieron que formar el mximo de palabras posibles, con una felicitacin navidea en el idioma en el que participaban, y durante un tiempo establecido por el ritmo de dos canciones. Por su parte los alumnos de francs nos hicieron reir con una simptica representacin teatral en la que participaron miembros de la audiencia.
Tambin hubo tiempo para cantar villancicos, (algunos incluso acompaados de instrumentos como un pequeo piano), degustar las delicias preparadas por algunos de nuestros alumnos y alumnas para el concurso gastronmico, y sobre todo para disfrutar del vino caliente Glwein, preparado por el departamento de alemn que una Navidad ms impregn la Escuela de sus olores caractersticos. Todos los ganadores de los concursos se llevaron a casa un pequeo regalo navideo muy dulce.

Crdoba callada. Mlaga, cantaora. Almera dorada... Plateado Jan... Huelva: la orilla de las Tres Carabelas. Y Sevilla. Manuel Machado Y el 28 de Febrero celebramos en la Escuela el aniversario de la consulta popular en referndum por el cual el pueblo andaluz decidi, en aquel 28 de febrero de 1980, acceder a su autonoma por una va poltica que la consagraba como una de las comunidades histricas del estado espaol. Para festejar lo ocurrido aquel da que marc un antes y un despus en nuestra historia y, de camino, divertirnos mientras aprendemos y comprobamos nuestros conocimientos sobre nuestra tierra, realizamos un concurso. Tradujimos y adaptamos un Quiz para todos los alumnos, sobre variados aspectos de nuestra autonoma (culturales, tursticos, gastronmicos) Algunos alumnos quedaron sorprendidos con algunas de las respuestas. Por ejemplo, sabras decirme qu se hace con las naranjas amargas de las calles sevillanas?

Tambin se colocaron los versos arriba citados de Manuel Machado, sobre nuestras provincias en la entrada de la escuela, junto a unas grandes cartulinas blancas sobre las que el alumnado fue colocando trocitos de papel verde y fue confeccionando en forma de collage, unas simpticas y originales banderas andaluzas. Da del libro Se celebrar el da 21 de abril con nuestra tradicional ronda de lecturas y un juego en el que los alumnos tendrn que emparejar fragmentos de obras literarias con sus autores, pero eso te lo contaremos en la prxima edicin de Bla, bla, bla. Departamento de Ingls Los das 28 y 29 de octubre y con motivo de la celebracin del da de Halloween, los alumnos de ingls, divididos por niveles, participaron en la redaccin express de una historia de miedo en un tiempo de 20 minutos, de la forma ms original posible. Los ganadores de cada categora se llevaron su correspondiente calabaza a casa.
Los ganadores fueron para nivel bsico 2 Cristina Sendra, Jos M. Snchez y Rafael Raign. Nivel intermedio: Jorge Bustamante Rafael Blanco y Alvaro Fernndez. El da 19 de noviembre, tuvimos el placer de contar en nuestra escuela con la presencia de Kristie Barrow, Tercera Secretaria y Agregada Cultural de la Embajada de Australia en nuestro pas. Con el nombre de AUSTRALIA HOY, Kristie comenz su presentacin con un breve historia sobre los diez datos principales que debes de conocer sobre Australia, desde su geografa, poblacin, economa, nivel y estilo de vida, pasando por una descripcin de las principales atracciones tursticas, como Tasmania, la gran barrera de los arrecifes, grandes ciudades, el Outback . Un ao ms contamos con la presencia de Andrew Marshall, el da 8 de abril, que nos hizo rer con su espectculo en dos sesiones. Ambas actuaciones fueron todo un xito y contaron con la participacin y colaboracin de los espectadores asistentes, que disfrutaron y rieron con las ocurrencias de este actor-showman. A las 17.30 nos recit dos cuentos de Roald Dahls Revolting Rhymes y a las 19.00 English Made Easy, una autntica leccin sobre el comportamiento de las personas cuando intentamos comunicarnos en un idioma distinto al nuestro.

Y con el olor de la canela, el clavo y la menta, ya vaso en mano, acompabamos el t con deliciosos dulces orientales, dtiles, etc. Al mismo tiempo, algunos alumnos nos mostraban, proyectadas, las fotos de sus escapadas por tierras rabes, e intercambiaban impresiones, ancdotas, dudas La msica animaba cada vez ms el ambiente, y al final ataviada con un cinturn de monedas, nuestra Laila se solt la melena, y dej boquiabiertos a todos los asistentes con su movimiento de caderas Con la tena corriendo por las venas, hubo ms de uno que, sin dudarlo, salt a la pista a acompaar a nuestra auxiliar de conversacin y as lo atestiguan las fotos: Samia, Francesca, Patricio, Juan Manuel, Luca, Reme animaron con sus risas y sus bailes a los ms remisos. Departamento de Alemn Durante el primer trimestre celebramos en el Departamento de Alemn el da de Sankt Martin. El 11 de Noviembre nuestra lectora explic la elaboracin de la famosa Laterne y como marca la tradicin, al atardecer, se cantaron diversas canciones alemanas relacionadas con este evento. Se facilit a los alumnos informacin, p.ej. sobre la celebracin principal, que tiene lugar despus de oscurecer, cuando nios de diversas edades efectan un recorrido de casa en casa portando linternas de papel. Se explic a los alumnos que a la puerta de cada casa los nios interpretan una breve cancin tpica de la festividad (cuya letra vara segn la regin o la poca), siendo recompensados por los habitantes de la vivienda con golosinas o frutas. El 6 de Diciembre, el Nikolaus (la lectora Sylvia Mieskes) vino a ver a nuestros alumnos portando naranjas y nueces. Durante el segundo trimestre por San Valentn cada profesor realiz actividades con sus alumnos y se redactaron cartas y poemas. Tambin fuimos de excursin al Carnaval de Colonia!!! De ello damos testimonio en otras pginas.
Departamento de rabe Coincidiendo con la proximidad del final de curso 2008-09, y con los exmenes a la vuelta de la esquina, el Departamento de rabe organiz una pequea fiesta para reunir a todos sus alumnos y pasar una tarde relajada y distendida. Cada mes se ha podido ver una pelcula en versin original y luego los alumnos han debatido sobre dicha pelcula con la lectora. Los alumnos de 1 de Nivel Bsico han hecho un taller sobre Mscaras de Crnaval en el que han conocido las tipicas mscaras de la Commedia dell Arte. Este ao hemos hecho un concurso de carteles llamado Il Bel Paese en el que los alumnos podan plasmar su visin sobre Italia. El 8 de marzo celebramos el Da de la Mujer, se regalaron Mimosas a todos los alumnos, ya que es la flor tpica de este da en Italia y se explic a los alumnos la repercusin de este da en dicho pas. Hemos celebrado Il Giorno Italiano. En l han participado nuestros alumnos y alumnos italianos que estn estudiando en Crdoba. Los alumnos han tenido la posibilidad de conocer italianos y de practicar conversando amenamente con ellos. Debido a su xito este ao hemos repetido el taller de Tiramis, en el que los alumnos han podido realizar, guiados por la lectora, este dulce tan tpico italiano. Los alumnos de 2 N.B han participado junto con las profesoras y la lectora en el concurso organizado por el CEP, Cantalenguas, cantando en Karaoke una cancin famosa italiana. Muestra de fotografas. Los alumnos han trado fotografas de sus viajes a Italia y se ha hecho una exposicin que se ha colgado por las paredes de la Escuela. En mayo, como actividad final de curso, realizaremos una Gincana Italiana. Los alumnos realizarn pruebas sobre cultura, gastronoma, msica Departamento de Francs Comida gastronmica en el Instituto Gran Capitn
Los alumnos y profesores de Nivel Intermedio CAL de Francs acudieron el pasado jueves 18 al Instituto Gran Capitn donde uno de sus compaeros, Jose ngel Soler, es profesor cocina. Pudieron degustar unos platos originales y deliciosos preparados por EL CHEF y su equipo de alumnos en prcticas. Chapeau, Jos Angel. a a t un vrai rgal! El jueves 25 de febrero, sorprendimos a los alumnos de francs con las manos en la masa. Resulta que estaban celebrando su tradicional soire-crpes, en la que adems de preparar y degustar los deliciosos crpes, hubo juegos y karaoke.

Im going to tell you what the place where I was born in 1981is like. Len was founded on the site of a Roman camp in Hispania, between the rivers Bernesga and Toro, called LEGIO VII GEMINA. So, the town was named after it. After the Romans, Len was invaded by barbarians and muslims, and was occupied for hundreds of years. But, when Christian Kings began the Reconquest of Spain, Len became into one of the largest Kingdoms and spread over a lot of lands, such as for example, Galicia, Portugal, Cantabria and other parts of Al-Andalus. Then, the Kingdom of Len joined Castilla and its history was full of battles, conspiracies and power struggles between the Monarchy, the Nobility, the Catholic Church and the middle-class. The result was a city with an important cultural and historic heritage and a lot of important monuments. The most amazing piece of jewellery is the Gothic Cathedral, erected over the 13th and 14th Centuries. Its known by the beauty of its stainedglass windows that have inspired the Musac building (Contemporary Art Museum). Another building of special interest is the Collegiate Church of San Isidoro with the main Romanesque paintings and ancient manuscripts and treasures. In addition, the Convent of San Marcos is very important. Its a building for the Order of the Knights of Santiago, as Len is one of the main cities of the Santiagos Way. But you must wear warm clothes because its cold in winter (it snows every year) and chilly in summer. Len is also famous for its festivities, the Holy Week, its gastronomy (trout, cecina, botillo and meat dishes) and, over all, for its honest and strong people (if you have a friend from Len, you will have a friend forever). Violenza sulle donne in Italia

Gli ultimi dati di cui si dispone sulla violenza che le donne hanno subito in Italia, pubblicati dallIstat nel luglio 2008, appartengono allanno 2007. Questi dati rivelano che tra il novembre 2006 ed il novembre 2007, un milione dei donne sono state vittime di violenza fisica o sessuale diplomate, imprenditrici che sono vittime delle loro coppie quando cercano di essere indipendenti. La realt che la violenza tra le pareti domestiche. Il 62 per cento sono vittime delle loro coppie oppure duno conosciuto (un familiare soprattutto). E lunica forma sarebbe promuovere unaltra immagine della donna, qualcosa di difficile in una nazione dove il Primo Ministro si fatto vedere in un video dove si avvicina a una consigliere del governo dopo il terremoto dAbruzzo e le chiede se possa abbracciarla un po per farsi una foto in gruppo. Negli stessi giorni, mentre parlava con una dottoressa, se n uscito dicendo che gli sarebbe piaciuto essere rianimato da lei. A questo dovremmo aggiungere, che la Corte

Soprattutto si parla soltanto di violenza quando laggressore uno sconosciuto e uno straniero, il partito della destra si mobilita. Una proposta di legge come quella spagnola In gennaio 2010 stata firmata a Napoli una proposta di legge contro la violenza maschilista. Le ONGs ed le associazioni di donne chiedono una legge come quella spagnola che contempli: la prevenzione con leducazione a scuola e la sparizione dellimmagine della donne nei mezzi di comunicazione come una semplice possessione delluomo, corpo e non mente; la formazione specifica dei professionali, poliziotti, medici, professori, giudici ecc, per un attenzione primaria delle vittime; rapidit nella celebrazione dei procedimenti giudiziari e lannullamento delle propriet dellaggressore a beneficio della vittima; dei fondi di garanzia per la vittima, che gli aiuti a trovare un posto di lavoro, un domicilio proprio ed il trasferimento dei fondi dellaggressore alla vittima in risarcimento delle vessazioni commesse dallaggressore e lintegrazione sociale della vittima. Manolos Best Cheesecake

*Ingredients* For the pastry - 3 eggs - A small/medium size can of sweetened condensed milk (400g approx) - the same volume of whole milk (use the can for measuring) - 250g of farmers cheese without salt (Burgos cheese will do) - 50g butter To decorate - Raspberry jam - Walnuts - Raisins *Method* 1. Butter the cake tin. 2. Cover it with aluminium foil 3. Butter the cake tin covered with aluminum foil again 4. Whisk all the pastry ingredients together in a big bowl using the mixer. 5. Put the mix in the cake tin, and put this in the oven (170-190 C) 6. Wait at least 30 minutes, but if you want to be sure, heres a good tip: to see if the cake is properly cooked you insert the blade of a knife. If the cake is moist, wait a few minutes longer and repeat the test until it comes out more or less dry. 7. Remove the tin from the oven, take the cheesecake out of the mould, cover it with as much jam as you want, and use your imagination for the decorating work! Well done! Carmens Brownies
I promised to publish my ultra-absolutecompletely-secret brownie recipe, and the day has come. I wish could have done a Martha Stewart style postcard, just for laugh, but I dont know how to do it, so heres my best.
Ingredients: 4 eggs 220g sugar 125-150g pastry cook chocolate (depending on how much you love chocolate) 220g butter or margarine (without salt, of course) 70g flour Nuts, to taste Kitchen Utensils 1 little sauce pan or a double boiler. 1 mixing dish A wire whisk A pair of nutcrackers A mincer or a mortar A baking tin. A knife or a needle.
l First, set aside a little butter or margarine and a little flour too: well need it for the baking tin. Then, melt chocolate and the remaining butter together in a little sauce pan on a low flame. The slower, the better: if chocolate gets burnt, it tastes bitter and would spoil the brownies. If you dont trust the stove, use double boilers. l Meanwhile, put in a mixing dish sugar, eggs and flour and whip them carefully until there are no lumps, or as few as possible. l Switch on your oven and preheat it to 180. l When the chocolate-butter mix is completely melted, add it to the flour mix and stir. Then add nuts, previously peeled and chopped small, and stir them into the mixture. Take the baking tin, grease it with a little butter and sprinkle it with a little bit of flour. Pour the mixing dish contents into the baking tin and put it into the oven for 30 minutes. Check it by pricking it with a knitting needle or a knife: when it comes out clean, take the tin out and leave it to cool. Decorating tips I strongly recommend serving it warm, with 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream. If you have time, try decorating it with hot dark and white chocolate sauces. Mmmm!.... Carmen Muoz NA2A
Una casa molto speciale

Abito in una casa molto speciale e molto diversa dalle altre case tradizionali, perch questa una casa unipersonale (anche se a volte ci sono pi di una persona), ed oggi come oggi, essente da qualsiasi tipo di tassi, anche se con questo fatto della crisi e vedendo com la situazione, non sarebbe strano se uno di questi giorni, i nostri saggi politici ci facessero anche pagare (perch siamo in molti) il tasso. Adesso vi dir il significato della parola speciale; questo tipo di casa sono unipersonali, e sono preparate e condizionate esclusivamente per tutti quelli che, come me, sono nudisti per natura e inoltre lo praticano; quindi allinterno delle nostre case assolutamente vietato portare qualsiasi tipo di vestito, neanche le scarpe. Il suo interno equipaggiato e preparato per un soggiorno ottimo, e con tutti tipi di confort, anche se non ha listallazione di nessuno degli ultimi apparechi tecnologici che oggi hanno quasi tutte le case. E non ne ha bisogno. Lo spiegher. Non ha installata laria condizionata per lestate e nonostante non necessaria la sua istallazione per niente; neanche ha installato il riscaldamento per linverno e non ha bisogno per niente di installarlo, e sapete perch? Perch condizionata per conservare la stessa temperatura lungo tutto lanno al suo interno. Unaltra novit che ha e che la distingue delle altre, che non ha nessun tipo di mobili, e non si sente la mancanza di questi, giacch senza di loro si sta meglio e pi comodi, giacch la loro presenza sarebbe pi uno svantaggio che un vantaggio. Inoltre molto ben insonorizzata da tutti i rumori esterni, ed a me tutto questo piace moltissimo e mi ci sento benissimo dentro, invece non posso dire lo stesso per quanto riguarda la sua oscurit e la sua impermeabilit che lascia molto a desiderare, ed adesso mi spiego: questo tipo di alloggio non ha nemmeno una finestra attraverso la quale potesse entrare un po di luce, ma credo che sia perch la sua struttura non lo permette, ed ha una sola porta di entrata e di uscita. Quando scoppia un temporale, la porta (che detto sia di passaggio non ha nessuna serratura installata), comincia ad aprirsi ed a chiudersi, ed a sbattere da dentro a fuori, ed ogni volta che succede questo si deve essere preparati per la tempesta che si avvicina. E mentre ha luogo la tempesta mi innervosisco perch so che alla fine sempre cade un acquazzone, e se non ti metti al sicuro, ti inzuppi, e questo secondo me il maggiore defetto che ha. Abito qui da circa 9 mesi e sempre ho avuto lo stesso problema; anche se da un mese a questa parte il tempo migliorato e gi non si produce nessun tipo di temporale, e adesso approfitter per fare un viaggio fantastico per conoscere il mondo; la prima cosa che far quando uscir, sar dire ai miei nonni materni il problema che ho avuto sempre con limpermeabilit, e sapete perch?, perch sono stati loro quelli che lhanno fatta quando eravano giovani e avevano ancora una voglia matta di lavorare insieme, pensando che qualche giorno qualcuno coeme me la potrebbe utilizzare. So, senza dubbio che lhanno fatta con molto amore e piacere, e che stato mio nonno che ha messo da parte sua la materia prima per la sua costruzione, mentre mia nonna dalla sua parte ha messo il posto per costruirla, e cos si sono messi a lavorare insieme giorno dopo giorno, e non si sono fermati fino a riuscirci. Ed eccomi, abitando nella casa che loro hanno costruito e che grazie ain miei genitori ho potuto abitarvi, giacch la casa propriet di mia mamma, nonostante mio padre copropietario e usuario della stessa, e in conseguenza lunico che ha acceso al suo interno; ogni volta che mio padre entra per la porta, mia madre lo riceve sempre con tutto lamore del mondo e con molto piacere, e davvero nel suo interno tutti i due si divertono un sacco, (se lo sapr io!). E questo stato tutto, adesso me ne vado in viaggio perch la porta si aperta moltissimo e sto vedendo mio padre che mi aspetta fuori, lei e mia madre saranno quelli che la sua sapienza mi indicheranno la strada da seguire. Am Rhein, neben einem groen Fels, steht die schne Skulptur der Loreley. Nach den deutschen Legenden, war Lore die Tochter von einem adligen Kavalier. Ihre Burg war auf einem Fels am Rheim. Die junge Frau ging jeden Morgen an den Rhein, um ihre goldenen Haare zu kmmen, whrend die Fischer mit ihren Netzen arbeiteten. Immer wenn Lore sang, stieg der Wasserstand im Rhein und die Fischernetze fllten sich. Ein jung und gut aussehender Kavalier sah sie und verliebte sich in sie. Er mchte sie haben, aber eigentlich mchte er nur ihren Krper, deshalb hielt er ihre Hand an. Einige Tage vor der Hochzeit, als der junge Kavalier mit seinem Schiff ber den Rhein fuhr, sah er andere junge Frauen, in die er sich auch verliebte und warf sich in ihre Arme, so vergaer die Liebe zu Lore. Jeden Tag wartet Lore vergeblich auf ihren Kavalier. Da er nicht kam, strzte sie sich auf den Fels von ihrer Burg und sie ertrank. Ihr Krper wurde nie gefunden. Die Legende sagt, dass viele Blitze vom Himmel einschlugen, und sie zerstrten die Burg von Lores Vater, der in den Flammen umkam. Als Lore ertrank, verwandelte sie sich in die Loreley, eine schne nachtragende Sirene, die auf einem groen Fels inmitten des Rheins lebte. Alle, die sich in ihre Schnheit verliebten, ertranken. Immer wenn sie sang, fielen die Seefahrer in Ohnmacht und verlierten die Kontrolle ber ihre Schiffe, die gegen den groen Fels schlugen. Mayca Garca Migueles, NB2

Coups de coeur
Cela fait un mois et midi que je suis alle au cinma. Le film sappelait Le Hrisson. Il sagit dune histoire raconte par une fille. Elle a un camscope et filme la vie de sa famille et de la concierge de sa maison. La fille dcouvre comment la concierge cesse dtre un hrisson et ouvre son coeur lamiti et mme lamour. Cest un film qui nous enseigne la grande sensibilit dune personne solitaire. Je laime beaucoup et je vous conseille de le voir. Je le trouve trs lgant et subtil! Quand je regarde ce tableau, je me sens tranquille et heureuse. Jadore a! vantard ou prtentieux, jamais grossier ni goste, il nest jamais offens et ne porte aucun ressentiment. Lamour na pas de plaisir face aux pchs des autres et se plat dans la vrit. Il est toujours prt pardonner, faire confiance, garder lespoir et endurer tout ce qui vient. Jaime beaucoup le film et je le recommande parce quil est trs agrable, il vous fait rflchir et cest idal pour une bonne soire. Cest terrible, ce sont dj les plus pauvres de la terre et maintenant ils subissent aussi le tremblement de terre. Je ne peux pas voir les images, cela blesse mon me. Jaime cette ville parce que jy ai pass mon enfance et y ai de bons souvenirs! Tanger se trouve au nord du Maroc, au sud de lEspagne, entre la mer Mditerrane et lOcan Atlantique. Cest une ville moyennement peuple. Tanger, il y a un carrefour des sensations, des couleurs et des motions! Cest une ville trs exotique, et selon moi, trs belle! I modi di dire, il sale del linguaggio

In Italiano un modo di dire unespressione idiomatica usata da tutti i livelli sociali e culturali e che esprime diverse situazioni, atteggiamenti o stati danimo in maniera accorciata e maggiormente in senso figurato. Ogni lingua ha i propri e generalmente non possono essere tradotti letteralmente in altre lingue, nonostante esistano frasi equivalenti in varie lingue, ad esempio: dormire sugli allori, dormirse en los laureles, sendormir sur ses lauriers, to rest on ones laurels, in questo caso presi dal latino. Inoltre, il significato di queste locuzioni maggiormente metaforico, quindi, la sostituzione di alcune parole con altre parole che siano sinonime non affato possibile: niente di pi sbatto che al posto di dire far castelli in Spagna (cio, fare progetti irrealizzabili) dicessimo far costruzioni fortificate nella penisola Ibrica!!!, parole che hanno lo stesso significato ma che non esprimono lidea originale . In realt, questo tipo di affermazione che raccoglie il modo di dire cerca solo di sintetizzare una forma di sapere fucinata per secoli di storia. A differenza dei proverbi, i modi di dire non manifestano di solito saggezza popolare e non hanno un significato profondo o morale, ma danno alla lingua brio, dinamismo e vivacit. Generalmente, i cosidetti modi di dire vengono usati nel discorso orale e solo in casi eccezionali possono apparire nello scritto e se non si conosce bene il loro significato , la lettura pu a volte diventare incomprensibile. Ecco qui un bell esempio (un poesagerato, certamente!) Caro Petruccio, Come stai? Sono sicura che tutto ti va da favola, vero? La causa dinnesco e le situazioni in Spagna ed Italia

Panorama In Spagna i boschi ricoprono oltre 27.5000.000 ettari del territorio, pari a circa il 50% dellintera superficie del Paese. In Italia i boschi ricoprono oltre 9.800.000 ettari del territorio, pari a circa il 32% dellintera superficie nazionale. Negli ultimi 20 anni (19902009) gli incendi boschivi hanno distrutto circa 2.865.000 ettari di superficie forestale nella Spagna e circa 1.500.000 ettari di superficie boschiva in Italia. Il patrimonio forestale spanolo e quello italiano, tra i pi importanti dEuropa per ampiezza e variet di specie, costituiscono unimmensa ricchezza per lambiente e leconomia, per lequilibrio del territorio, per la conservazione della biodiversit e del paesaggio. Ogni anno assistiamo allincendio di migliaia di ettari di bosco, molto spesso dovuto a cause dolose, legate alla speculazione edilizia, o allincuria e alla disattenzione delluomo. Le conseguenze per lequilibrio naturale sono gravissime e i tempi per il riassetto dellecosistema molto lunghi. Di media ogni anno in Spagna si verificano oltre 20.000 incendi e bruciano circa 100.000 ettari forestali. Per quanto riguarda lItalia anualmente si verificano oltre 11.000 incendi e bruciano pi di 50.000 ettari. Il numero degli incendi stato crescente sin dagli anni 70 ma la superficie boscata percorsa consistente gi a partire dai primi anni 70. Oggigiorno, per effetto di una decisa campagna di sensibilizzazione e grazie a una migliore organizzazione del complexo sistema antincendio delle Regioni e dello Stato, il rischio, pur sempre molto alto, sembra diminuire di proporzione. Il reato di incendio boschivo Lincendio boschivo, sia doloso o colposo, un delitto contro la pubblica incolumit e, come tale, perseguito penalmente. Per incendio boschivo sintende un fuoco con suscettivit ad espandersi su aree boschive, cespugliate o arborate, comprese eventuali strutture e infrastrutture antropizzate poste allinterno delle predette aree, oppure su terreni coltivati o incolti e pascoli limitrofi a dette aree. In Spagna lincendio boschivo reato autonomo per Legge Forestale Statale 53/2003 e le modifiche nell 2006. In Italia fino al 2000 lincendio boschivo era considerato una aggravante dellincendio generico, trattato dallart. 423 del Codice Penale ma nel 2000, per la prima volta, lincendio boschivo viene considerato dal legislatore come reato autonomo, nella Legge 275/2000 e la Legge 353/2000. Le cause degli incendi boschivi Il fuoco mostra nelle foreste e nei boschi una presenza ricorrente anno dopo anno con unintensit devastatrice in continua ascesa. Il paesaggio naturale e vegetale stato modellato pi o meno intensamente dal fuoco. Il clima e landamento stagionale giocano un ruolo fondamentale nel predisporre una situazione di favore allo scoppio dellincendio, per cui, periodi di siccit e di alte temperature, determinano condizioni di estrema pericolosit. Di fronte a tale problema i paesi pi colpiti hanno organizzato il potenziamento dei mezzi di lotta e formulato progetti pilota alla CEE per contribuire al mutuo soccorso tra Stati Membri in caso di incendi di particolare gravit. La statistica delle cause purtroppo molto meno completa di quella dei sinistri. Per questi motivi, la questione delle cause non pu essere chiarita con dati certi e documentati e richiede una analisi profonda delle possibili motivazioni degli incendiari per conoscere lorigine del fenomeno. La causa prima degli incendi boschivi si ricerca essenzialmente nellalto grado di depauperamento e di forte spopolamento delle zone dellalta collina e della montagna. Un simile evento ha determinato nel tempo labbandono di tutte quelle pratiche agronomiche e selvicolturali che di contro in passato venivano effettuate nelle campagne e nei boschi, con il risultato di rendere il bosco meno soggetto nei confronti del fuoco. I diradamenti, le ripuliture, il pascolo disciplinato, eventuali colture ed in alcuni casi anche il fuoco controllato, facevano che il sottobosco non apparisse e nel contempo, la presenza attiva dellagricoltore e del pastore era garanzia e sicurezza per un rapido intervento anche qualora lincendio scoppiasse. Cosi, anche quando gli agricoltori, involontariamente potevano essere causa dellincendio, essi stessi provvedevano a spegnerlo direttamente. Ci era possibile grazie alla presenza demografica nelle zone di campagna, oggi di contro, fortemente diminuita ed invecchiata. La situazione ora cambiata, tanto che le operazioni selvicolturali tradizionali sono molto trascurate e pratiche agronomiche e pastorali, nelle quali si fa uso anche del fuoco, oggi assumono, per i boschi limitrofi ai campi ed ai pascoli, un pericolo costante, poich lesodo da tali zone, in particolare quello giovanile, e stato massiccio. Anche tali casi riguardano luso del territorio, cosi carente di strutture e di servizi atti ad assicurare il mantenimento, dal punto di vista fisico ed economico, secondo delluso e non dellabuso pi intenso. Una correlazione interessante quella degli incendi boschivi con la circolazione veicolare. Ad un progressivo aumento degli autoveicoli circolanti e dello sviluppo viario aumentano in progressione gli incendi boschivi perch moltissimi hanno inizio dal bordo di strade ed autostrade. Recentemente da parte del Ministero dellAmbiente spagnolo e il Servizio Antincendi del Corpo Forestale dello Stato Italiano stato iniziato uno studio che ha portato a definire il ventaglio di motivazioni di cause dolose e volontarie, cause colpose e cause naturali. La elaborazione criminologica tenta di abbozzare un campo di indagini utili alla identificazione dei responsabili. Le cause dolose o volontarie Concepite e determinate dalla volont di uomini che a basso prezzo (il costo di un fiammifero) ottengono benefici personali per i quali la societ pagher prezzi altissimi (distruzione di un bosco) per tempi molto lunghi (ricostruzione del bosco). Incendi da cui gli autori sperano di trarre profitto distruzione di massa forestale per la creazione di terreni coltivabili e di pascolo a spese del bosco o per attivare il set-aside, bruciatura di residui agricoli, stoppie e cespugli, per la pulizia del terreno, in vista della semina, Incendio del bosco per trasformare il terreno rurale in edificatorio, Incendio del bosco per determinare la creazione di posti di lavoro, In relazione alle attivit di ricostituzione e di spegnimento Impiego del fuoco per operazioni colturali nel bosco, per risparmiare mano dopera,

Senza dubbio la piromania e una infermit poco frequente, il cui rapporto con gli incendi rurali in Italia e molto scarso. Incendi provocati da ragioni politiche La relazione tra incendi forestali e motivazioni politiche non sembra attendibile nellItalia e non si pu ricondurre il fenomeno ad un disegno terroristico e destabilizzante. Contrariamente ai due ultimi gruppi sopra citati, le motivazioni socio economiche sembrano meglio spiegare le attivit degli incendiari. Le cause colpose o involontarie Legate allimprudenza, alla negligenza, alla disattenzione o allignoranza delle persone, che involontariamente provocano incendi. Le cause naturali Legate allazione innescante di eruzioni vulcaniche, fulmini, autocombustione. Lincendiario delle foreste Il numero dei pericoli che oggi minacciano lintegrit dellambiente e della vita umana cresce in relazione diretta con lo sviluppo economico-sociale e, quindi, con il progresso culturale e tecnologico raggiunto dalle varie comunit. Dove c controllo, cresce anche il rischio (N. Luhmann, 1996). La percezione di vivere in un ambiente soggetto a rischi ormai diffusa. Gli incendi boschivi non sono n un disastro n una calamit naturale o una fatalit, fatta eccezione per quei casi in cui vengono innescati da agenti naturali o forse nemmeno in quei casi dal momento che spesso si diffondono in ambienti seminaturali civilizzati. Sono piuttosto un fenomeno antropico (nel
98% dei casi) che dipende in maniera diretta dal comportamento sociale sia intenzionale o non intenzionale. Nonostante laumento delle competenze relative agli aspetti fisico-ingegneristici del fenomeno, le sue cause restano scarsamente conosciute, se non del tutto ignote. Ogni fuoco ha il suo funesto ed oscuro demiurgo. Rimane un residuo irrazionale e indecifrabile ad ogni spiegazione logica e ragionevole. Si soliti considerare la manifestazione incendiaria espressiva delle bizzarrie della natura o come sottoprodotto delle attivit umane. In entrambi i casi, il problema affrontato attraverso unottica di emergenza tecnocratica che raramente lascia spazio ad una interpretazione sul funzionamento dei sistemi sociali. vero che gli effetti di un evento calamitoso dipendono da una serie di parametri tecnicofisici variabili, ma altrettanto vero che questi fattori da soli non sono sufficienti a spiegare perch eventi naturali di uguale magnitude provochano danni notevolmente differenti. Questo avviene anche per gli incendi boschivi e altre emergenze ambientali. Essi non dipendono soltanto dalla fisica dellevento e degli agenti di impatto, ma derivano soprattutto dalle azioni (e reazioni) sociali che si attivano prima, durante e dopo la crisi, in funzione del tipo di cultura specifico posseduto da ciascun sistema sociale nei confronti di quellevento. Secondo la prospettiva tecnocentrica lincendio un evento fisico, secondo quella antropocentrica invece una manifestazione sociale. Il profilo, pi comune, di incendiario colposo quello di una persona, quasi sempre di sesso maschile, di et avanzata, residente vicino ai luoghi in cui lavora e opera, legata, in modo

Utilizza le risorse naturali della terra per fini economici con redditi minimi, perdurando nella consuetudine di distruzione con il fuoco dei residui delle lavorazioni agricole o delle ripuliture in terreni di sua propriet per risparmiare, attraverso il fuoco, le spese considerevoli di ripulitura dei terreni. Non pone attenzione allambiente circostante dal quale trae utilit, ambiente che pi sensibile, che nel passato ai danni, per presenza di persone, edifici, strade, autostrade, accumulo di materiale vegetale abbandonato, formazioni di macchia mediterranea ma soprattutto per una minore capacit di assorbire i danni provocati al bosco. Questo profilo di incendiario presente in tutte le regioni ma soprattutto ricorre nelle regioni del sud in cui si registra ormai uneconomia agraria pi sofferente con scarsi redditi ottenibili dalle lavorazioni agricole. Il profilo, pi comune, di incendiario doloso quello di una persona, di sesso maschile, di et media, residente non sempre vicino ai luoghi in cui lavora, legata in modo continuo per presenza costante e anche di vita sociale al contesto socio-economico dellambiente rurale e pastorale. Utilizza le risorse naturali della terra per fini economici che producono redditi considerevoli, usufruendo anche delle sovvenzioni comunitarie al settore. 1. The moor behind their family house looks charming: the morning is soon to break. As the sky over the hills turns a mixture of light pink, pale orange and blue, soft music gently sounds. The grass, which looked almost black, is suddenly tinged with vivid green: the sun, blocked by thick fog, cannot sparkle on the trees, but is still able to illuminate the field and turn the sky soft golden, like the light that reflects a brides dress, like the shade of blond hair under a spring sun. The fog covers the shadows under the hills but its blinding power cannot hide the silhouette of the man walking towards Elizabeth. A piano starts playing, like a heart that starts beating in the breast in the presence of the beloved. She gasps with surprise on recognizing him. Fitzwilliam treads slowly up the field looking weary and a little desperate, judging by the wrinkles on his forehead. When he looks up and catches sight of Elizabeths face, he starts walking faster. Of course he cannot run: he is a gentleman. Despair becomes tension and longing as he sees her clearly. She seems hypnotised by his presence, mesmerized. His steps are slow when he reaches her: she is hugging herself and he gazes into her eyes, searching for courage and hope. I couldnt sleep. Nor I. M Carmen Muoz

2. A gripping film and although sometimes disturbing, it tells a tense and convoluted story. In no way predictable, on the contrary, it has a good twist at the end. The most impressive scene is when the lead kills himself in the bath. He uses lethal jellyfish venom to commit suicide. This is an unpleasant scene, as you know hes going to die, but it isnt gory because you see no blood in the bath, though the camera does zoom in on his eyes turning red. Esther Cmer
3. One of the climactic moments in the film is the one where two of the robbers have to set off a bomb. The robbers are about to get into the vault to grab the money and other robber is behind the vault to help them, but he gets trapped and may die when the bomb goes off. Logically there is high tension, but at the same time it is one of the most ridiculous moments due to a touch of humour: when they are about to press the bombs remote control button, it doesnt work because batteries are dead, so they have to change the batteries and this gives the other robber time to free himself. After watching this you wonder how they could forget to check the batteries when they had planned everything else so thoroughly? Admittedly, it is surrealist but without those funny moments the film would not grip the spectator and keep them glued to their seats. Elisabet Bravo

This is an iconic scene where a crop-duster plane becomes a growing menace to a hunted Roger Thornhill (a Manhattan advertising executive mistaken for a spy) waiting alone at a crossroads in the middle of bare, flat farmland. This isolated place seems as lonely as Thornhills soul. He is puzzled by his fate, utterly unable to understand why he is being so mercilessly pursued. The biplane gets closer and closer to a completely baffled Thornhill, who finally reacts. In this harrowing situation, he is forced to run towards the only sheltered place close to him, a cornfield. However when the pilot begins dusting it with pesticides, he is forced to flee from that too. Looking desperately for help, the character gets a passing petrol tanker to pull up - it stops just at the last minute. Suddenly the biplane crashes into the tanker and explodes. Some passing cars witnessing the spectacular accident and stop, and then Thornhill manages to steals a light truck and escape from the nightmare. A great classic worth seeing. Despite a seemingly static beginning, anxiety builds in the spectator, who gets the disturbing feeling that something terrible is bound to happen. M. Jesus Aldana 4. Although the film opens with a panoramic view of London, this is difficult to see, because its taken so far away that you cant make out the icons of the city - the London Eye, the Houses of Parliament, St. Pauls Cathedral. However, all is revealed in the second shot, which is taken as close as necessary to show us that it is London. In successive frames, even though you can see Big Ben, the Thames and Piccadilly Circus, something keeps telling you it doesnt seem like London, something weird is happening as the music flows and builds up a suspenseful atmosphere reminiscent of a Hitchcock movie. And though youre expecting a terrible fright, ready to jump from your seat, thinking its going to be right now, you could swear you can see it coming a mile off nothing happens. Boyles camera continues showing you pictures of London, and only now are you aware of what is unusual: London is completely deserted, empty of people, nobody, absolutely no one is there, and... without knowing why, this causes you a genuine feeling of restlessness. Manuel ngel Jimnez 5. One of the most remarkably poignant scenes in cinema history happens near the end of the film, when Deckart has finally found Roy Batty, his prey throughout the movie. But now, in an unequal combat of man versus machine, it is Batty who will play cat and mouse with Deckart. While they are hunting each other, the camera switches from one to the other through an abandoned building. Outside it is raining, as it has been from the start, and the atmosphere is grey and gloomy, but the hunt quickens the sequence of shots, and as the rhythm accelerates you literally squirm in your seat. The fight is life and death and very painful to watch at times. Eventually, both are in the rain on the foggy roof. Batty is stronger than Deckart, who is wounded and exhausted. This is highlighted by presenting the half-naked replicant with powerful, glistening, muscles in contrast with the fully-dressed, drenched, weak man. The machine is to win the game. Deckart slips and falls off but manages to grab the edge in the nick of time. Hes hanging there at the mercy of the replicant. This is when everybody thinks that Batty will not be able to feel compassion and will crush Deckart. But no. He saves Deckarts life, and then you hear the moving monologue that starts, Ive seen things you people wouldnt believe... . As the camera zooms in alternately on the replicants and Deckarts faces you can see how life is fading from the former and how the latter is now discovering the surprising machines feelings and understanding the depths of the replicants love for life. Raindrops mixed with blood trickle heavily down the wounded faces, and its impossible not to have tears rolling down your cheeks. Vangelis soundtrack helps to create an atmosphere of sadness and desolation that emphasizes the terrible loneliness and smallness of the human being facing death. M. Jos Garca

He is dancing along the long street, after a row with his father, who had found out that his son had been attending ballet classes in secret. The father thinks that dance is unsuitable for boys and is bitterly opposed to it. Both father and son insult each other; the son is incensed. He rushes out and starts dancing, at first slowly, but with determination, with great energy as if he were flying. The street is empty except for the weak fragile boy. He keeps dancing with powerful strength, going up and down the long, deserted street. Nobody is there, only the dancer and his magical way of moving and creating. His performance is brilliant, absolutely believable. It is very uplifting. At this moment, dance is a god, a mystical power that allows Billy to escape from the miserable time that he and his family are living. Needless to say, each time I see this scene I end up in tears. It sends shivers up and down my spine. In contrast with the previous scene, which shows us the superiority and authority of the father over the son without a tender mother to hug him, this scene in which the boy shows extraordinary brilliance is like the victory of art and humanity over worldly calamities and human shortcomings. Lola Estepa 7. King Leonidas of Sparta and his tiny army meet the Greek troops at the pass of Thermopylae. Daxos, the Greek leader says, I see I was wrong to expect Spartas commitment to at least match our own. So the Spartan King, in a great acting moment, gently asks some of the Greek soldiers what their professions are. A potter, a sculptor, a blacksmith, they reply. The King turns back to his Spartans and now with a deep, booming voice asks (gripping moment):SPARTANS, WHAT IS YOUR PROFESSION? They answer in unison, raising their spears, HA-OOH! HA-OOH! HA-OOH!. At this stage I get an uplifting and proud feeling in my chest dont ask me why, but I do. The scene has marvellous photography. Sepia rules in the striking the mix of colours, and the actors are silhouetted against the background light in an impressive slow shot. And finally, the most satisfying moment. With a severe but friendly expression on his face, Leonidas turns to Daxos - who is now looking a bit embarrassed - and says, You see, old friend? I brought more soldiers than you did. It is a moving scene. Every time I see it I feel like crying with emotion, I never tire of watching it. Jos Manuel Prez 8. A work of art verging on genius. The death scene at the very end makes my hair stand on end. The two opponents have finally met and the soldier has killed the Emperor. There is a mute silence in the Coliseum. Maximo looking death in the face, suddenly sees a door, drops his sword and stretches his hand towards it, the door of heaven. I love the way the camera manages to mix what is happening and what is going to happen, present and future, as if he were dreaming, using flashes of his life. A kind of super-natural state that, together with the stirring soundtrack, takes my breath away. And there it is when Maximo finally opens the door, you are back at the first shot in the film, the one of his hands brushing over the grass as he walks towards his wife and son. Avatar is a perfect product of the United States film industry, its ingredients are: a very famous film-maker; a new and spectacular design; a lot of beautiful characters and, of course, a huge amount of money spent just on publicity. In this way, the Hollywood producers already know that money spent will be got back , even in this film they know that the film will be a success and they will earn a lot of money. The success is related with many social factors, but not necessary with the quality of the film. Many films have had these features and have been some ones of the best films in the history, for example Matrix (1999). Unfortunately is not the case of Avatar. Its only one artistic value is the effects integration. The photography, a mix between the light (photography) and the design (digital effects) is very good, and the most important thing is a new use of technology in the cinema (although not in the illustration world where these kinds of techniques are used for many years ago). During the first hour the viewer discovers a new world, a new experience, but after that nothing, nothing except two and a half more hours. So we can not consider it as an art work, that is sure. But from another point of view: Can we consider it as an amused entertainment? Is it worth seeing it? In my opinion it is not an entertaining product because it is too long and the second part of film is really bad: made by stupid producers and for stupid people; there is not any script at all, just all the typical facts, which we have already could see in all the commercial films, together. No one who had seen some of the classic films can enjoy this fake kind of film. Anyway I recommend my friends see it at the cinema, but only for the first hour. Miguel ngel Glvez, NA1F
Il salmorejo cordovese
INGREDIENTI (Per quattro persone): - 4 pomodori matuti pelati (circa 750 gr.) - 150 gr. di mollica di pane raffermo del giorno innanzi (possibilmente di pagnotta di pane) - 1 o 2 spicchi di aglio pelato - 1 bicchiere (150 ml.) di olio di oliva extra vergine - 1 piccola tazza di aceto di vino bianco - Sale q.b. - 3 uova sode per la guarnizione - Prosciutto crudo per la guarnizione PREPARAZIONE Rimuovete la crosta del pane e inzuppate il resto (soltanto la mollica) in acqua. Quando sar ben inzuppata, rimuovetela e strizzatela interamente. Tenete da parte. Setacciate per rimuovere i semi dei pomodori e la buccia. Tenete da parte. Tritate insieme con lolio, il pane, i pomodori, laglio, il sale e laceto in un mixer per alcuni minuti, fino a che non avrete ottenuto un composto morbido. Aggiungete acqua molto fredda fino a che non avrete raggiunto la consistenza desiderata e sale se lo desiderate. Questo piatto viene normalmente servito con le uova sode tagliate a pezzi (si possono utilizzare uova di quaglia) e del prosciutto crudo tagliato a dadini. Servite freddo e in una terrina (preferibilmente). Prima di servire, aggiuntete sopra il prosciutto crudo e le uova sode. Si decora il piatto con uno schizzo di olio di oliva extra vergine. SUGGERIMENTI: Conviene mettere un p di sale e di aceto e condire a met del processo. Il salmorejo una ricetta tipica di Crdoba, raccomandata sopratutto durante l estate. Per avere successo bisogna trovare il giusto equilibrio nel mescolare e nell utilizzo degli ingredienti di qualit, specialmente i pomodori devono essere stramaturi e sani. A curious way to start a friendship

All started in June, two years ago. My friend Vanessa and I had done our English exam and we wanted to know our marks. As she couldnt go to the school to see it, I agreed to send her a message by mobile phone to tell if she had passed the exam. So when I saw the results, I sent her a message. She didnt answer me, but shortly afterwards I got a message in English in my mobile phone which said: Hello, Im Peter from New Zeeland, I dont understand anything. Who are you? Do you speak English?. I was quite surprised, I had dialled the wrong number and a stranger has answered my message. Although I dont usually chat with strangers, I decided to answer. I thought it will be good to improve my English. I said to him that I was Spanish and I was learning English. After a few messages via mobile phone, we gave us our email address, and from then on, we have being sending emails to each other. In his second email, Peter sent to me a photo of him. He is tall, strong, tanned and in that photo he was wearing casual clothes. He looks like an adventure film actor. In fact he is a journalist and works for a travel magazine. Peter has traveled around the world; he likes risk sports and traveling to exotic places. Peter and I have talked long about our lives, likes and dislikes. Despite the fact that our lifestyle is very different, we have similar tastes. I love traveling too, I enjoy when he sends photos to me from his different journeys and tells me anecdotes. We might meet next summer because he has planned to come to Spain. I look forward to this moment. One day, someone saw him with something shinning in his hands. The child ran and ran, so the man chased him but he couldnt catch him. Suddenly, the light enveloped him and the child disappeared. In the place where the child had disappeared a dim light shined. The village was paralyzed with fear. The rows between the inhabitants increased. They said The child brought us happiness and he took it when he left. So, a few months later they decided to meet in the place where the dim light was still shinning. They arrived at midnight, and all the people were frightened because they expected the light would kill them. But then, the bright light blew out. They screamed, but an old-man said You didnt understand the message until the child died. The happiness is inside us. When we forget our rows and we do something together we create happiness. Si era fatto un po tardi alluscita del lavoro, stavo gi per arrivare a casa, tra laltro ero stanco, avevo fatto un po di fatica in bicicletta, quando prima di rientrare, mi sono fermato al panificio che era proprio sulla stessa strada. Ho lasciato la bici fuori senza catena, appoggiata al muretto del negozio. Una volta dentro cerano un paio di persone davanti a me che aspettavano il loro turno. Ero un po distratto guardando laspetto del pane, e decidendo quale scegliere, quando la conversazione tra la signora dietro il bancone ed una cliente, che era prima di me, ha attirato la mia attenzione. Era una ragazza giovane, poteva avere pi o meno diciotto anni, ben vestita, e con uno sguardo un tanto timido. Lei aveva chiesto un tipo di pane, la signora si girata per prenderlo e quando stava per darglielo, la ragazza ha fatto un gesto di negazione, cercando di farsi capire, e sempre con un umile sorriso sul volto. A questo punto la signora ha fatto un segno di disprezzo nei suoi confronti, si girata e ne ha preso un altro, quello che la ragazza le segnalava con le dita. Quando stava per darglielo, le ha detto a voce alta con unespressione di superiorit e un po maliziosa: -Chi ti credi di essere? Dobbiamo capire tutto! Impara a parlare! La ragazza ha preso i pane, le ha dato i soldi, e se ne andata via, con la testa bassa. Questa situazione vi pu sembrare un fatto un tanto insignificante, e magari semplicemente un po esagerato, ma ci fa capire fino a che punto possiamo essere razzisti nel nostro rapporto quotidiano, nelle azioni di tutti i giorni, a volte con uno sguardo o con un gesto. Immaginate per un attimo ci che successo, mettiamoci nei suoi panni. Una ragazza giovane, arriva in un paese straniero, e tra laltro dove si parla una lingua completamente diversa dalla sua, sono certo che non deve essere facile, si trova in difficolt per comprare del pane, figuriamoci il resto. Con questo discorso non voglio generalizzare, sarebbe veramente ingiusto e da ignoranti farlo da parte mia, giudicare tutti allo stesso modo, anzi credo che questo tipo di gente sia una minoranza, e sono certo che per ogni persona cos ci saranno un centinaio di brave persone. London, the Olympic Queen

Last July 6th 2005, the distinguished members of the International Olympic Committee met for the first time in the Asian city of Singapore in order to celebrate their 117th Session. It was one of the most decisive days in the history of sports due to the election of the host city for the next XXX Olympiad in 2012. The whole world was waiting for the final decision: five important nations presented their bids to hold this international event, five city of Rome, but finally London took the challenge of organizing the event because of the eruption of the Vesuvius volcano. The White City Stadium was the venue. It received a total of 22 countries; some of which do not exist nowadays, such as Australasia or Bohemia (current west region of the Czech Republic). Around 2,000 athletes participated at the first Olympic Games hosted in London, and approximately forty were women. The Games started on April 27th and were opened by King Edward VII, son of the famous Queen Victoria. The host nation, the United Kingdom, achieved a total of 146 medals, followed by the United States with 47 and Sweden with 25. Finally, the Games closed on October 31st. As you can see, the previous Olympic meetings lasted longer than the current ones. In 1939, the International Olympic Committee chose London once again to host the XIII Olympiad in 1944 but the outbreak of World War II and its development (1939-1945) did not allow these Games to take place. In 1946, once the war was over, London was selected by the IOC to host the Games because of the last IOC
cities and just one of them will win the gold. They were: London (United Kingdom), Paris (France), Madrid (Spain), Moscow (Russian Federation) and the cosmopolitan New York (United States). Of course it is well-known which one won: LONDON. However, this article is not going to discuss 2012, but 1908 and 1948, when London was also the host city for the Olympic Games, consequently becoming the city which has hosted this event the most times: The Olympic Queen. The Games of the IV Olympiad were awarded at first to the Italian capital, the

These were the first Games broadcasted on TV, the first step for the global recognition of this international meeting. Wembley Stadium held the opening ceremony chaired by the King George VI (Queen Elizabeths father) and the British Royal Family on July 29th. A parade of 59 nations participated at least in one of the seventeen sports, namely basketball, equestrian, sailing, water polo and ancient Greco-Roman wrestling. In this occasion out of 4,000 athletes, around 400 women took part in London, a historical record. The closing of the 1948 Summer Olympics was on August 14th; the USA won a total of 84 medals, second was Sweden with 44 and in third place was France with 29. Although the United Kingdom was the host nation, it did not get a very good place at the final medal ranking; just a disgraceful 12th position was achieved by the proud nation. Nevertheless, XIV Olympiad was considered the revival of the international Olympic spirit and since then the world has been celebrating the Olympic Games every four years. The last Games took place in Beijing (China) and both the Olympic flame and flag will appear again in the next ones, which will be held for the third time in London. A lot of expectation is surrounding the following Games. Many people did not like the British candidacy, others detested the famous geometrical pink logo, but what I am sure of is that this city will inspire force and energy in our athletes because of Londons experience and relevance with the Olympic panorama; and perhaps, why not? Every morning I wake up at seven oclock. On my way to the car I see kids of five or six years old beginning pre-sessional courses with breakfast at school, half past seven in the morning!!, and when I come back to home eleven hours later, I see those same kids coming back home like me. Its too horrible for me, I know, but I am an adult. I suffer more for those tiny children. Their sad tired faces terrify me. I think it is insane, do you agree? When I was a child and I was five or six years old I used wake up at half past eight in the morning and I remember that I was very tired. My mom carried me to school, and when I finished classes I had lunch at home with my family. In the evening I used to play on the street with my friends skipping rope game or playground tag, under my mothers supervision. Now, the regular life is very different, for example my niece doesnt know this games, and she doesnt play with her friends very often. She wakes up at seven oclock like me, goes to school, she takes her school lunch, later she does her homework, takes English and maths support classes, and she arrives home at nine oclock. She has a Nintendo DS, she watches a lot of movies, series, she has a portable DVD but she doesnt have a skipping rope! I think that perhaps I am a little oldfashioned, but old games were great and healthy. Nowadays the percentage of overweight and obese children is increasing. Although obesity is not the main problem; they also get depressed. For example my partners son used to say to her Mom, dont you like to spend the evenings with me?. From my point of view they need our attention. We work too much and we have time only to eat and sleep, our schedule is very hard. There should be a law that guaranteed the conciliation of family and working life, because at this moment children are little adults, no what they should be, only kids, with a father and a mother that could take care of them. Lets fight for our right to play with our children.
