PROPULSION ENGINES The commercial and ecological aspects of ship propulsion systems are
sharpening the focus on further boosting their efciency. With the continuous development of
main engines, which nowadays largely already meet the requirements of IMO Tier II, lower fuel
consumption is not only making more economical operation feasible but is also reducing CO2
