A little over two months ago, I taught a message entitled Faith To Stand. Right in the middle of that message I told the congregation that I would be teaching on defining moments and that some of the people there in the service were facing one right then. One week later I found out who some of those people were, and that they made the wrong decision in their defining moment. Five weeks later I completed a series entitled Recognizing Your Defining Moment. We defined a Defining Moment as, that critical point in time where we make decisions that will have a positive or negative effect on our immediate or distant future. The Bible is full of examples of those who made the right decision in their defining moment. For Example: Abram, to leave or not to leave; Rahab the harlot, to hide the spies or not to hide; The boy shepherd David, to fight or not to fight; Shadrac, Meshac and Abenego, to bow or not to bow; Daniel, to pray or not to pray; and the list goes on and on. What moment are you facing right now? It could be a defining moment. Just remember, the decision you make will define your future.
