My family in my mother side is very attach to each other, since our great great great grandfather.

He always see to it that his children is very close to each other and this was also inherited by us. Even my grandfather is also close to his cousins or even his third cousins. The cousins of my mother is very close to each other. When there is an occasion in the family they see to it that everybody is there. Every year we have our family reunion so that if there is a new member in the family, he/she will meet us and get to mingle with us. Every reunion there will be a host that will fix all the things that is needed in the reunion. The host would be a child of my great grandfather.

My great great great grandfather is from Pampanga. He moved to Iloilo where he met my great great grandmother. They were blessed with seven children namely Constancio Simpas, Guima Hembra, Bautista Simpas, Jose Simpas, Manuel Simpas, Raymundo Simpas and Cleopas Simpas. My great grandfather died while his children was still young. His children was taken care of his wife and his eldest son, Constancio.Lolo Constancio served as the head of the family. He helped his mother to work for their living in order to buy food for his younger siblings. They work hard together in the farm in order to support their education. Lolo Jose, the grandfather of my mother, was able to join the Armed Forces of the Philippines and also graduated as a teacher. Then he met Lola Natividad, the grandmother of my mother. They were married and was blessed with 11 children namely Bautista Simpas, Otelia Franco, Ledelia Latoza, Raymundo Simpas, Manuel Simpas, Constancio Simpas, Warlito Simpas, Palmera Porras, Oscar Simpas, and Andres Simpas. My grandfather was their third child, Bautista. We also call him "Lolo Tingtang". His other siblings was able

to finish their studies and graduated as teachers. My grandfather met my grandmother and had 4 children. They are Jana Simpas, Nona Sustento, Joenel Simpas, and Ladislao Simpas. My mother is the second child. My aunt, Jana, is a now a government employee and still single. My uncle, Laddy, is also single. While my other uncle, Joenel and my mother has their own family. I have 3 cousins from my tito. They are Jana mae, Joemar ang Jonnel. My unles and aunt are very supportive with each other. Especially when there are problems that are encountered.

We live in Iloilo, particularly in Cabilauan, New Lucena. In that place you can really feel that you are at home because everybody knows each other. Everybody help each other with their problems. They are very friendly people. They communicate to people very well.

In that particular place is also the place of birth of my father, but I dont know too much about them because we havent talked about it that much. My grandfather and my grandmother, parents of my father, has 7 children.

My mother told me that my grandfather havent experienced any rallies during the EDSA revolution because he was in the province. But he felt changes in the economy. like the freedom to express our thoughts, importance of unity in a country, and a new constitution was formed.
