SPECIFICATIONS FOR ON-LINE TRAINING

Process 1. Client purchases the training course on-line, or by way of a fixed quote off-line. 2. This will give them access to whatever course they have purchased via an access code. a. If the course is purchased on-line, then the system will supply to the customer an access code with which they can immediately undertake the course. b. If the course is purchased in bulk off-line, the system will need to produce a listing of access codes to the QBM administrator who will supply this to the customer. c. Client is able to purchase 1 or multiple courses and multiple volumes of the same course d. Using the access codes created at purchase have the ability for who ever has the codes to go in and complete the course 3. They will have up to 12 months to complete this course or it will expire a. Access is for 12 months from the date of purchase and will automatically expire at the end of 12 months if a course has not been completed 4. They will go in when they are ready and work their way through the course a. The login will require the individual trainee to supply their details for the production of the certificate of competency. The trainee will only need to supply these details once only. b. Thus the log-in will require the user to enter their name and the access code previously supplied. 5. The trainee will need to read the course content and view videos. The user will need to be able to go back over course content as required. a. The training materials will be a combination of PDF, Text and Videos. The questions naturally will be text entered by the administrator b. The will be content to review, watch a video, review more content, read legislation, watch another video, review more content, complete questions. If it is easier to break it into chapters then that would be suitable. 6. They then will answer a set of multiply choice questions a. There will be the ability to have unlimited tries at completing the quiz b. This will let the trainee know if they have passed or it they need to have another go c. A pass will equal 100% correct answers. The system will need to let the trainee know which questions are incorrect and allow the trainee to review the course content prior to answering the incorrect questions.

d. b) There will only be multiple choice questions. 7. When all questions have been answered correctly, it will tell them that have passed 8. A certificate or letter of competency will be produced with the trainees details which were previously supplied a. This is an automatic document that is filled in with the information that the trainee enters at the start of the course 9. This course will then be closed and not able to be re-done. The trainee will have no further access to the system unless they supply a new unique access code. a. The only thing that is still accessible is the certificate until it is printed and then this course is no longer valid 10. Administrator will need to make changes to courses as required to suite legislation. As well there will be a requirement to add courses as required. There should not be a limit to the number of courses. My terminology of a course is a single subject with a trainee reading the material and answering the questions, successful completion is when they answer the questions correctly, and printing a certificate. There is no linkage to different subject to form a total learning package. Each will be purchased separately and completed separately. Customer Access At times, customers will purchase bulk access codes for their staff to undertake the training. Thus there will be a requirement for the customer to purchase multiple access codes from an on-line purchasing system. However, in the majority of cases, the QBM administrator will enter the customer details into the system and produce a list of unique access codes for the customer. Customer details will need to be entered into the system by the QBM administrator and also give certain access permissions to the customers representative. The customers representative will have access to view the list of their staff and if they have completed the course to ensure that all of their staff have actually completed the course. This will be handled by the customer details being set against each access code purchased. Ie: o Customer ABC purchases 3 access codes for their staff o Customer ABC is given 3 unique access codes 123a 246d 548c o The system will hold the details of these codes and the customer name to enable the report to be produced The customers representative will be able to produce a written report of all of their staff who have completed the training.

(completed training in when the trainee has produced the certificate of competency) 4) There is a need for reporting by customers at the managerial level only. That is: a) Ability to produce a list of their staff who have commenced the training b) Produce a report to list all staff who have successfully completed the training. Successful completion = printing of certificate For bulk purchases, this should be set up by our office as follows. Set up the company Set up a supervisor for the company which gives access to that supervisor to view all of their staffs training progress and report as per reporting above. Produce a list of access codes to give to the customer for their individual staff trainees. As each staff then log in, they would use these access codes which would provide the link to the customer. Additional information: The login process shall involve the trainee entering their unique access code, their name and email address. The combination of these will suffice to not requiring a password. If the trainee needs to reprint their certificate then they should be allowed access fro 12 months from first login to reprint the certificate by logging in using these 3 attributes to find their details. QBM administrator should access to a report of persons names and email addresses. This report should be able to be produced in MS Excel for import to a CRM system. Please consider an option in the system to automatically generate a automatic email to send to trainees who had completed the training at the 11 month mark to inform them that their certificate is only valid for 12 months and that they will need to compete the course again prior to the expiry of 12 months. On signing in, each trainee will need to agree to the terms and conditions of training by clicking accept. The administrator will need access to produce and alter these terms and conditions as required. There will only be one set of terms and conditions. There is to be no restrictions that the trainee must actually view all content. There should be an ability to move through the course at their own pace. However the questions must be answered 100% correctly. Some questions will be from the videos, etc. We will not be worried about Mary doing course for Jim

Course Content The training materials will be a combination of PDF, Text and Videos. The questions naturally will be text entered by the administrator Multiple choice questions will be added from admin panel and the system will automatically pick the random questions and prepare a test paper in order to avoid the duplicity of questions Administrator will need to make changes to courses as required to suite legislation. As well there will be a requirement to add courses as required. There should not be a limit to the number of courses. My terminology of a course is a single subject with a trainee reading the material and answering the questions, successful completion is when they answer the questions 100% correctly, and printing a certificate. If it is easier to break it into chapters then that would be suitable. We do not have the tools to record and edit audio or video. We contract this process to an external provider. However, we are open to a proposal to install a audio editor to allow us to produce our own audio files to match the text. The videos will still be purchased from an external provider. The system must have the ability to allow the import of the video into the course. The solution will need to only produce the tools to create and edit the text components. There a requirement as stated above to allow the import of video and text into the courses. Please provide an option to allow the creation and editing of audio as required. Video will be produced by an external provider; however there is a requirement to import the video as required into the correct location of the course. Reporting There is a need for reporting by customers at the managerial level only. That is: c) Ability to produce a list of their staff who have commenced the training d) Produce a report to list all staff that have successfully completed the training. This will mean that there is to be 2 levels of customer access. 1= staff trainee; 2 = company supervisor. Thus the login will need to be set up requesting various information to enable this distinction. I would envisage that the sale of this on-line will only give the user one access as a trainee to be able to complete the course or courses purchased. For bulk purchases, this should be set up by our office as follows. a) Set up the company b) Set up a supervisor for the company which gives access to that supervisor to view all of their staffs training progress and report as per reporting above. c) Produce a list of access codes to give to the customer for their individual staff trainees. d) As each staff then log in, they would use these access codes which would provide the link to the customer. Course Builder & Viewer a) A simple text builder will be sufficient. Text builder such as exists in Wordpress is suitable b) There will not be a need for such rules c) There should not be a restriction on the type of video. I dont envisage this to be accessible by smart phone or tablet. Test Builder & Viewer a) A pass will equal 100% correct answers. The system will need to let the trainee know which questions are incorrect and allow the trainee to review the course content prior to answering the incorrect questions. b) There will only be multiple choice questions. Must have's: Be easy to use and follow Must be able to be updated or changed by QBM administrators if there is a legislation change etc Must be able to have pictures, videos and/or audio added to the courses Be able to have any number of training courses on the system Be able to have any number of trainees Simplicity 1. There is no need for any trainee to ask questions of QBM 2. QBM will not need access to view trainees progress 3. This is a simple system allowing individuals to undertake a simple training course and become proficient in the subject

4. QBM will not require to view any details of trainees or their progress in completing or otherwise of the courses 5. There will not be a need to hold on-line meetings with trainees unless this can be added at very little cost
