Isaiah 53:4 Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him

stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted.

53:5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment
that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.
53:6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the Lord has
laid on him the iniquity of us all.
53:7 He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the
slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth.

55:1 'Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy
and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost.
55:2 Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen,
listen to me, and eat what is good, and your soul will delight in the richest of fare.
55:3 Give ear and come to me; hear me, that your soul may live. I will make an everlasting
covenant with you, my faithful love promised to David.

55:6 Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near.
55:7 Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the Lord , and
he will have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will freely pardon.

55:11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth:It will not return to me empty, but will
accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
55:12 You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song
before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.

60:1 'Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.
60:2 See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises
upon you and his glory appears over you.
60:3 Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.

61:1 The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good
news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the
captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,
61:2 to proclaim the year of the Lord 's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all
who mourn,
61:3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion- to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of
ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of
despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his
splendor.

66:2 Has not my hand made all these things, and so they came into being?' declares the Lord .
'This is the one I esteem: he who is humble and contrite in spirit, and trembles at my word.

12:1 In that day you will say: 'I will praise you, O Lord . Although you were angry with me, your
anger has turned away and you have comforted me.
12:2 Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord , the Lord , is my strength
and my song; he has become my salvation.'
12:3 With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.
12:4 In that day you will say: 'Give thanks to the Lord , call on his name; make known among the
nations what he has done, and proclaim that his name is exalted.
12:5 Sing to the Lord , for he has done glorious things; let this be known to all the world.
12:6 Shout aloud and sing for joy, people of Zion, for great is the Holy One of Israel among you.'

41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen
you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

James 1:17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the
heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
1:18 He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of
all he created.

1:12 Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will
receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

John 1:12 Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to
become children of God--

3:8 The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes
from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.'

3:16 'For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him
shall not perish but have eternal life.

1John 4:14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the
world. 4:16 And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in
love lives in God, and God in him.

John 5:24 'I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal
life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.

6:18 A strong wind was blowing and the waters grew rough.
6:19 When they had rowed three or three and a half miles, they saw Jesus approaching the boat,
walking on the water; and they were terrified.
6:20 But he said to them, 'It is I; don't be afraid.'
6:21 Then they were willing to take him into the boat, and immediately the boat reached the shore
where they were heading.

7:6 Therefore Jesus told them, 'The right time for me has not yet come; for you any time is right.
7:7 The world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify that what it does is evil.
7:8 You go to the Feast. I am not yet going up to this Feast, because for me the right time has not
yet come.'
