I sing and they play the guitar, bass, drums and keyboards. We were in a TV programme last year on channel 45. We participated with ten other bands and we won a gold medal. When we were kids we always listened to rock and roll because our parents liked that style of music. They loved Elvis Presley, the father of rock and roll. They also liked rock and, of course, the Beatles. But my brothers and I like other rock styles: progressive, alternative, heavy metal and punk. We also like Chilean bands: La Ley, Lucybell, Los Tres, Los Prisioneros, Saiko and Los Tetas. But probably Saiko is the band we most like. We want to share our music with you. It was originated in 1591. Long time ago, there was a Pamplona bishop, Saint Fermn. He travelled far converting people to Christianity. Some people didnt like it, so they killed him. HOLIDAYS

by Norah Smith

I remember that day clearly. I was 7 years old and this was my first trip to the
mountains with my mum. When we got there, I saw some kids sliding down on big black rubbish bags. I wanted to do the same but my mum said I was too young. So I cried and I screamed. She had two options: hear me scream all day or let me slide down the slope. Finally, she said yes. I started sliding and when I was halfway down the slope, some bushes got in the way and I landed right in the middle of them. I twisted my ankle and we had to go to a hospital right away. It hurt so much that I cried and screamed all the way back. My mum was not very happy.
