New documents obtained by ISPAC proves that KRQE manufactured a controversy when none exists and dragged in more people beholden to the Martinez Administration. This is dirty politics at its worst. Is it time for Martinez to list KRQE's attacks as an in-kind contribution?

Independent Source Pac has obtained additional documents that seriously undermine KRQE's continuing attacks on Democratic House Majority Whip Sheryl Williams Stapleton proving there is no controversy. The two documents show beyond any doubt that Williams Stapleton did request leave from APS to serve in the New Mexico Legislature. Both Larry Barker and Katie Kim have reported that that Williams Stapleton just took off for Santa Fe without requesting leave or notifying APS. We have already put up a document that proves APS made specific arrangements for Williams Stapleton to continue working for APS proving that she worked for her salary while in session. With these two new documents, regarding KRQE the question is now one of either complete and total journalistic incompetence by Barker and Kim or one of pushing the political agenda of Susana Martinez. So which is it? Perhaps the fact that they filled in their most recent stories by highlighting APS Board member David L. Robbins and Republican Rep. Nora Espinoza, shows that it's all about smearing Stapleton Williams because she fought the Martinez Administration privatization of public education agenda.

Robbins was appointed by Susan Martinez in March 2011 as the Administrative services director for the New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department. A job that pays $87,006 per year. He is the only APS Board member who works directly for Martinez. Robbins was given the job after he had to resign from the City of Albuquerque for violating their ethics rules that prohibits any city employee from serving as an elected official in another governmental entity. Espinoza, whose "degree" she obtained well after years of teaching in a church school comes from a mail order non-accredited university in Florida. Espinoza has been the most outspoken supporter of the Martinez Administration privatization push. Perhaps it's time for Martinez to disclose KRQE reporting as an in-kind contribution?
