How to upload and delete images via Fotoweb 6.0

A. Open an internet browser

Enter the URL http://cisqhswebp046v.rbi.web.ds/fotoweb/ at the top of the browser window.

B. Logging in

Enter your username and password in the space indicated.

If you do not have a username and password then click on ‘New user? Register here’ and
complete the details.

You can also log-in as a Guest. This should be treated as an emergency log-in (top right-hand
corner)

You will be issued a generic password which is changed monthly. This method will only
give you access to the image upload area

C. To upload/add images

1. Click on scrolling images if on home page or click on the View button on top menu if on
database (thumbnail) screen
2. Click on Upload Files

3. Click on Choose file button

This will open a browser window (below) and allow you to select the file to upload from your
computer

4. Select image and click on the Choose button

The screen will then revert to the previous fotoware page, displaying the selected file name next to
the choose file button

5. Click on Upload Now button

PLEASE NOTE: there is a delay before the image(s) appear(s). To view the uploaded image you
will need to refresh the page or click on Archives and then Private Uploads from the top menu bar

6. Click on the icon at the top right hand corner of the thumbnail picture. NB: only single click.

7. Select Edit Text and then All Text

8. Fill in the metadata - yellow indicates mandatory fields

PLEASE NOTE: In certain sections there are default (pre-entered) options, use the (quicklist)
button. For others you need to use the and buttons to input the data

When you have completed and are happy with all the data click
9. Move the image to the RBI archive.

To do this click on the icon at the top right hand corner of the picture. NB: only single click.

Select Actions and then Move to Archive

The following page will then appear, click OK and the image will move to the RBI database and be
searchable.

D. To delete an image in Fotoweb

1. Double click on the image which will present a large preview page

2. Select Delete on the right hand side of the toolbar

Click Ok to confirm deletion
E. To search for a image.

1. Type in search (keywords) into space provided - adjust search parameters as required (exact
phrase/all or any of the words) and click search

2. A thumbnail screen will appear showing your search results

you can search within your results to narrow the search. Type additional search terms and check
the search in results button.

3. The image reference/code for the image is displayed below the thumbnail. To view the image
bigger and display image information double click on the required thumbnail.
