THE HISTORY OF THE GREEK CRISIS

There are rumors that Peloponnese, Thrace, Hepirus & South Aegean territories will be granted to the Germans as... "special economic zones". Moreover there are also rumors that German officials will come to Greece as.... commissionaires to the main Greek ministries, and that they will supervise the Greek government, to which they will dictate their decisions. We see it as surrender or national dominion to the Germans & the people here are furious. . In the media they openly describe the Prime Minister as traitor, and that he should stand trial and be shot ! People feel, that our grandfathers gave their lives to fight the Germans in WWII, and now this government lets them conquer us again, but this time with different kind of weapons. Economic weapons. The truth is, that in 2009 our Prime Minister won the elections systematically lying & promising the voters more.... money (!!!). But after he won, he immediately drove the country to the International Monetary Fund. As we found out later, even before the elections, he knew the situation of the economy. At the very same time he was promising more money to the people, he made secret talks with the IMF president, Dominique Stauss Kahn, so as to drive Greece to the IMF. (This was later a confession of Straus Kahn himshelf, to the media). So even before winning the elections, Papandreous plans were to bring the IMF here.

Also lately some high rank employees at the Ministry of Economics, accuse the government, that they were pressing them to undersign that the Greek deficit was more than 15%. But in reality the deficit was less. By forging documents about a falsely high deficit, the new government had an extra excuse to drive us directly to the IMF.

How Greece came to this point ??? The history of the crisis
To cut the long story short, the problems of Greece started during World War II. Here there was a very strong opposition to the Germans, and thousands of Greeks went to the mountains to fight against the conquerors. The result of this fierce opposition is that Greece had the most victims during WW II, in analogy to its population. More victims than any other nation. Of course in absolute numbers, Russia had more victims. But Russia is huge, with millions of citizens. But in analogy with it's population, Greece had more victims. In 1943, during the Tehran conference and later in Yalta (1945), Stalin agreed with the West, that Greece should stay under the influence of the West. In October 1944, the retrieting Germans left Athens & Greeks thought that they would live free as was the purpose of their resistance. But in December 1944, our British "allies" came to Athens, and set up machine guns in Syntagma square in the center of the city, and started shooting civilians so as to enforce their dominion. People wanted to be free, and not to be under British rule. The partisan Greek army on the mountains was a

significant force. The West, realized that the only way for them to keep control over Greece, was to rely on the Greeks who during German occupation, collaborated with the Germans.

So Greece was the ONLY European country, where after the war, the cooperators of the Germans were not punished. In other countries like France, the traitors (Vichy) were executed. But not in Greece. The guerrilla army refused to give up its weapons, so this ended up in a wild civil war between 1945-1949, which split Greece in two. The right wing under systematically support from the West managed to win the war. Stalin did not interfere & the leftists where left at their own destiny, as was the 1943 and 1945 agreements. After the civil war, the ex-collaborators of the Germans continued to rule Greece, this time as collaborators of UK & USA. Slowly the civil war was forgotten, and "democracy" & smoothness returned to the society. But the actual power never came to the hands of real patriots. The result was 3-4 powerful political families which continued to recycle their members on the power of this country. While on power, they did not serve the interests of the Greek people. But the interests of foreign powers. Papandreou family, is one of these families. For example Greece is the only country that did not claim its WWII recompences from Germany. Moreover, when the German army occupied Greece, the Germans forced the Bank of Greece to grant a 'loan' to the 3rd Reich. Up to now the Greek politicians did not claim from Germany the return of this money on interest. And it's about a third of our external debt.

The biggest "success" of this power-system in Greece, was the alliance with the media. The TV channel owners (very rich people) decided to back up this corrupt system. In their news bulletings, there was no word about economic scandals & political corruption. As a reward, TV channel owners started receiving grants from the corrupted governments. They became "businessmen" and public works like road construction was assigned to them. That was the deal. Corruption would not be revealed on air, and they would get even richer. Some of these media owners, are more rich than american tycoons.

So "truth" was hidden from the Greek society. The corrupted Greek governments were bribed from German corporations, like Siemens & Ferostal to buy their products. For a project that would normally cost 70 billion dollars, Greek government would pay 210 billions (i.e.C4I for the Olympics). Of course out of the pocket of the tax payers. Siemens officials & Greek politicians would share the extra 140 billions. The 2004 Olympic games in Athens, costed many times more, than they would cost in another country. Of course the Greek public didn't know anything about those facts.

To cover the expenses, the corrupted governments started borrowing billions of dollars from abroad. Again the people knew nothing about that, thanks to the silence of the media. But in 2008 the shit just came out of the sewer and they could not cover it up anymore. The ex P.M. Karamanlis (another political family like described above), lost the elections to Papandreou who was systematically lying to the public, promising.... money (!!!), and declaring that there was absolutely no crisis at all. Again with the collaboration of the media as described.

These people have looted Greece, for decades and now they try to pass the bill to the citizens. Moreover nobody was legally charged for the economic scandals of the past, thanks to the legal system they made. They made such laws, so that themshelves would walk free. They shall not even stand trials. Now, in (small) free TV channels & radio stations, some reliable journalists start revealing the truth. Moreover, the austerity measures start to hit the citizens who are NOT responsible for this looting. That's why the people are protesting right now in Athens. That's why there is public anger & riots. . The rotten political system is rapidly collapsing. But they try to hook themshelves to power for as long as they can. They use the police to brutally suppress the riots. But their days are numbered. . .. Meanwhile for as long as they still stay on power, they try to serve their bosses in US & Europe. The ones who appointed them as rulers in this country ever since the end of WWII. That's why they brought the IMF in Greece. So as to try to loot as much as possible before their collapse. How their collapse will be, is a matter of the future to show. Will it be under smooth conditions? Or will they follow the fate of Gaddafi ?
