ALL: Amen. (All seat down) Liturgy of the Word LECTOR: Please be seated and let us listen to the word of God. First reading Isaiah 7:10 - 14 Once again Yahweh addressed Ahaz, Ask for a sign from Yahweh your God, either to come from the deepest or from the heights. But Ahaz answered, I will not ask, I will not put Yahweh to the test. Then Isaiah said, Now you listen, descendants of David. Have you not been satisfied trying the patience of men that you also try the patience of my God? Therefore the Lord himself gives you a sign Reader: This is the Word of the Lord All: Thanks be to God.

Responsorial Psalm Psalm 40:7-8, 8-9, 10, 11 1. You have made me a little less than a God. And have lavished my heart with Your love. With dignity and honor Youve clothed me given me rule over all. ALL: Till the end of my days, O Lord. I will bless Your name, sing Your praise, give You thanks all my days. 2. You have blessed me with good things a plenty, and surrounded my table with friends. Their love their laughter enrich me, together we sing You praise. ALL: Till the end of my days, O Lord. I will bless Your name, sing Your praise, give You thanks all my days. 3. Your sun and Your moon give me light, and Your stars show the way through the night. Your rivers and streams have refreshed me, I will sing Your praise. ALL: Till the end of my days, O Lord. I will bless Your name, sing Your praise, give You thanks all my days. 4. How great is Your love, O Father, that You sent us Your savior son. His death and his rising will heal and draw us all unto You ALL: Till the end of my days, O Lord. I will bless Your name, sing Your praise, give You thanks all my days. Second reading Luke 1:26 - 28 In the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a town of Galilee called Nazareth. He was sent to a young virgin who was engaged to a man named Joseph of the family of David, the virgins name was Mary. The angel came to her and said, Rejoice, full of grace the Lord is with you. Mary listened and was troubled at these words wondering that this greeting could mean. But the angel said Do not fear, Mary, for God has looked kindly on you. You shall conceive and bear a son and you shall call him Jesus. He will be great and shall rightly be called son of the most High. The Lord God will give him the Kingdom of David, his ancestor, he will rule over the people of Jacob for ever and his reign shall no end. Then Mary said to the angel, How can this be if I am a virgin? And the angel said to her, The Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore, the holy child to be born shall be called Son of God. Even your relative Elizabeth is expecting a son in her age, although she was unable to have a child, and she is now in her sixth month. With God nothing is impossible. Then Mary said, I am the servant of the Lord, let it be done to me as you have said. And the angel left her. Reader: This is the Word of the Lord ALL: Thanks be to God.

PRIEST: The day before he suffered, he took bread in his sacred hands, and looking up to heaven, to you, his almighty Father, he gave you thanks and praise. He broke the bread, gave it to his disciples and said: Take this, all of you, and eat it: this is my body which will be given up for you. When supper was ended, he took the cup. Again he gave the cup to his disciples, and said:

Take this, all of you, and drink from it: this is the cup of my blood, the blood of the new and everlasting covenant. It will be shed for you and for all men so that sins may be forgiven. Do this in memory of me.
Let us proclaim the mystery of faith:

Dying You destroyed our death Rising You restored our life Lord Jesus, lord Jesus Come in glory
Memorial of the Paschal Mystery and offering Father, we celebrate the memory of Christ, your son. We, your people and your ministers, recall his passion, his resurrection from the dead, and his ascension into glory; and from the many gifts you have given us we offer to you, God of Glory and majesty, this holy and perfect sacrifice the bread of life and the cup of eternal salvation. Look with favor on these offerings and accept them as once you accepted the gifts of your servant Abel, the sacrifice of Abraham, our father in faith, and the bread and wine offered by your priest Melchisedech. Almighty God, we pray that your angel may take this sacrifice to your altar in heaven. Then as we receive from this altar the sacred body and blood of your Son, let us be filled with every grace and blessing. Through Christ our Lord.
