I. PRESENTATION

Universidad César Vallejo seeks to train enterprising professionals with values, humanistic,

scientific and technological sense, and committed to the transformation of society for a

good sustainable development. Whereby UCV.

It is committed to society through specific actions such as teaching, learning, research,

social responsibility, self-knowledge, among others. And that is why through the subject of

Tutoring III, a project of improvement plan is being carried out, so this work is focused on

identifying the problems that affect my student environment, and based on this to propose

solutions to thereby achieve generate a personal change.

I consider my main problem to be the inappropriate use of the internet and electronic

devices, the reason why I chose this problem is because, many times these tools become

distractions.For example, when I am in a class and suddenly a message arrives, I check it

and then I enter the social networks, at that moment I am not concentrating on the class and

when I want to pay attention again I can not because I missed a part of the explanation

which makes it difficult to follow the sequence and I end up losing interest.

This problem affects a large part of the population, according to a study that indicates that

Internet addictive behavior is a behavior that is characterized by the loss of control over the

use of the Internet and it is this behavior that potentially leads to isolation and neglect of

academic activities, social relationships, health, recreational activities and personal hygiene.

III. OBJECTIVES

General Objective

To propose solutions in order to generate a change towards myself, with the purpose

of being able to solve it and use these tools in an adequate way in the virtual classes.

Specific Objectives

• Identify the causes of inappropriate use of the Internet and electronic devices
in virtual classrooms.

• Make a start and finish timeline for my improvement plan.

• Follow up to see my results.


IV. ACTIONS AND/OR ACTIVITIES TO BE CARRIED OUT

• Establish rules to make good use of it and if I do not comply with them, punish me by
prohibiting me from doing something I like to do.

• Control the time of use of computers and, in particular, the Internet.

• When I am in a class, avoid checking messages, social media, or any other distractions that
may be detrimental to my academic performance.

• Before using electronic equipment to distract myself, make sure I have no pending work or
tasks.

• Turn off my computer when I know I'll be away for more than 30 minutes, to

VI. FOLLOW-UP ON PROPOSED ACTIONS AND/OR ACTIVITIES

During the whole process of the Improvement Plan, I and my family were duly monitored
from the beginning, when the main problem that caused my lack of concentration in class
was brought up.

I started on Monday, May 17, in which I established some rules to not get distracted in class
through social networks, games, television, calls or music, which the first day was a little
difficult, since I had become a bad habit every time I got on Facebook or Instagram.
Therefore, when I did not comply with the proposed actions, I did not touch my cell phone
during the whole day, the same happened with the organization of my time, since I was
watching a series that day and I became addicted to it, the first day of the execution of the
improvement plan, I let myself accumulate with work and my parents forbade me to watch
TV for a whole week.

During the rest of the month of May, I was still distracted in classes, but, it was less than I
was at the beginning, I usually slept at 3 am, watching movies, playing games, watching
memes or listening to music, but during the days of that month, I started to go to bed at 12
am (midnight), which I consider was a good progress.

In the first 2 weeks of June, I began to lose the progress I had achieved, and for such a
situation, my family turned off the internet from 10:30 pm and as it was my responsibility I
would go to bed in an empty room, to avoid temptations, I would take a book if I could not
sleep so I would not get bored. And by the end of that month, thanks to the help of my
family and my pride in not letting myself win, I managed to finish the month with an
excellent result since, in classes I was able to pay attention, I did my work first and I studied
before listening to music, playing video games, watching movies or accessing social
networks, and thanks to all this, the dark circles under my eyes disappeared, my grades

increased; and in the last days of July, in which I had already met the deadline to improve
my attitude, I managed to succeed in the execution of the improvement plan.
VII. RESULT

At the end of the date established in the schedule, I managed to notice an incredible

change in my person, because thanks to the improvement plan I made, I managed to

overcome my addiction to the internet and electronic equipment that distracted me

from my responsibilities as a student, since my grades increased, my stress

decreased and now I feel freer and I could say that I am healthier.

It was not easy to get rid of a bad habit, but thanks to the follow-up my family gave

me, the opportunity to make the improvement plan and the effort I put into it, I

managed to overcome it.

Quoting one of Benjamin Franklin's famous phrases, I would like to say that "Do not

put off until tomorrow what you can do today". And the phrase of the poet and

singer Canserbero "Brother, don't just sit in bed, success will not touch you.
