MAGIC RING TUTORIAL By Jocelyn Sass

1. Hold your yarn as shown below. 4. Insert your hook into the circle and get ready to
grab the end of your working yarn.

2. Make a large loop with your yarn; the working


yarn will be on top.
5. Yarn over hook and pull working yarn into circle.

3.Grasp the yarn with your thumb and middle finger


at the place that the 2 yarns meet. 6. You will now have one loop on hook.

7. and 8: Ch 1; 10. Make appropriate number of single crochet into the


ring.

11. Pull the small yarn end once again to close up the
circle! There is no hole visible!

9. Grasp and pull the small yarn end to close the


circle so it will be easier for you to put crochet
stitches into the circle.

Note: If you are doing stitches other than sc, at


Photos 7 & 8, chain the appropriate number of stitches
(ie ch 2 for hdc, ch 3 for dc, ch 4 for tr), then work the
taller stitches into the ring as indicated in Photo 10.
