Important Notes
All rounds are worked in a continuous spiral exept some part of the body. Do not
join or turn, unless instructed otherwise
You may find it useful to use a stitchmarker for counting your rounds
Take your time to create your amigurumi’s face, it is a very important part of the
final result
While stuffing and making the wire frame take care to give each part a nice shape
Azrael can be made without the wire skeleton, as well. For this purpose there will be
some suggestions in the description marked with [ ].

Round 12. 8 sc, ch 2, skip 1 stitch, 35 sc (45)
The hole you just created will be used for the stabilizing wire (skeleton).
Start to create the wire frame at this point. In my case the wire for the body was approximately
27cm long. Keep in mind the size of the hook and the gauge of the yarn you are using. You
may want to leave the wire rather a bit longer. Adjust it to the final length, when the body’s
size is evident.
Make a loop at one end of the wire. Secure it with the rubber tape. Insert the wire into the head
as you see on the picture.
Start stuffing the head (stuff nicely around the wire), and keep on stuffing while crocheting.
Round 19. (2 sc, dec), 2 sc, (2 sc, dec)3-times, sc, (2 sc, dec)2-times (21)
Round 20. (sc, dec), 2 sc, (sc, dec)3-times, sc, ( sc, dec)2-times (15)
Round 21. dec, 2sc, 3 dec, sc, 2 dec (9)
Round 22. dec
FO. Close the hole by leading the thread through the front loops of the last row, pull it tight
and put the yarn tail into the head.

FO. Leave a long yarn tail, close the opening with a few invisible stitches and sew the nose
to the head (at the color change as you see on the picture).

Round 2. Starting from 2 stitch from the hook 2 sc, 3 sc in last stitch

Ears
FO; leave a long yarn for sewing it to the head. See the exact place on the photos (between
14th and 18th rounds of the head).

Right ear with orange:
FO; leave a long yarn tail. Fold it to half and with invisible stitches sew the tear (created
in 5th round) around. Sew the right ear to the head. See the exact place on the photos
(between 14th and 18th rounds of the head).

Tail and Body
With orange yarn:
At this point stop working in spiral. To create Azrael’s bottom, work in rows instead:
Row 1. Ch 8, from 2nd stitch from the hook 7 sc, sc into the same stitch
where the chain was started, sc into the next stitch of the tail,
turn (17)
Row 2. Skip 2 stitches, 7 sc, inc, 6 sc, sc into the same stitch where
the chain was started, sc into the next stitch of the tail, turn (17)
Row 3. Skip 2, 7 sc, inc, 7 sc, 2 sc into the next stitches of the tail, turn(16)
Row 4. Skip 2, 4 sc, (sc, inc)3-times, 6 sc, 2 sc into the next stitches
of the tail, turn (21)
Row 5. Skip 2, 4 sc, (2 sc, inc)3-times, 6 sc (22)

Round 46. 6 sc, dec, 6 sc, dec, sc (15)
Round 47. sc* (15)
Adjust the length of the wire (see picture below) and make a loop on the end. Secure the loop
with rubber tape. Insert the wire into the body.
Cut 2 pieces of wire for the legs. Insert wire through the corresponding holes on the body. In
my case the wire was approx. 30cm long. You may want to leave it a little longer as the
exact size can be adjusted later.

Belly
With white:
Row 1. ch 19 (19)
Row 2. sc in 2 stitch from hook, 8 sc, 8 hdc, 3 hdc in last stitch (continue
nd
on the other side of beginning ch), 8 hdc, 9 sc, ch, turn (37)
Row 3. 9 sc, 8 hdc, (2 hdc in next stitch)3-times, 8 hdc, 9 sc, ch, turn (40)
FO. Leave a long yarn tail and with invisible stitches sew it to the body.
At this point stop working in spiral, to create Azrael’s heel work in rows instead:
Row 3. Skip 1 stitch, 5 sc, sc in next stitch of foot(see above), turn (6)
Row 4.Skip 1 stitch, 5 sc, sc in next stitch of foot(see above), turn (6)
Page - 10 - of 13
FO. Leave a long yarn tail for sewing it to the body.
Adjust the length of the wire (see picture above) and make a loop on the end. Secure the loop
with rubber tape. Insert the wire into the leg.
Stuff the leg carefully around the wire and sew the leg to the body with invisible stitches.
Finally bend the end hook of the wire inside the foot to the proper position. With orange (or
black) yarn embroider the fingers on the feet (2 stitches).
Just as you did it with the forelegs adjust the length of the wire (see picture below) and
make a loop at the end. Secure the loop with rubber tape. Insert the wire into the leg. Stuff
the leg carefully around the wire. With invisible stitches sew the leg to the body.

Embroider the fingers with orange (or black) yarn.
Whiskers
Create the whiskers with black beading wire or waxed thread. I made a loop through the
black nose in the middle of each whisker, so they may not be pulled out.
