LA ESTACIÓN: una estación total se compone aunque para la estación total se cuenta
con niveles electrónicos que facilitan la tarea.
THE STATION: a total station is composed, although for the total station there are electronic levels
that facilitate the task.
THE LEVEL: also called an optical level or equialtimeter, it is an instrument whose purpose is to
measure unevenness between points that are at different heights or the transfer of heights from a
known point to an unknown one.
THE PRISM: It is known as an objective (target) that when located on an unknown point and being
observed by the Total Station captures the laser and makes it bounce back towards the device.
STADIMETRIC SIGHT: In topography, a stadiametric stay or sight, also called a stadia in Latin
America, is a graduated ruler that allows, through a topographic level, to measure unevenness,
that is, height differences.
