Orientaciones para Padres de Familia

Estimados padres de Familia:

Apreciamos su compromiso excelente actitud y trabajo para el beneficio de nuestros estudiantes

continuación detallamos las instrucciones de esta guía.

La presente guía de aprendizaje de inglés para el trabajo en casa se preparó con el fin de ayudar
a su hijo o hija a dar información relacionada con Emociones y sentimientos, descripciones físicas
y partes del cuerpo. No sólo tienen la oportunidad de aprender el vocabulario sino también de
hacer algunos ejercicios para poner en práctica lo estudiado. Su hijo (a) deberá dedicar
aproximadamente 3 horas para desarrollar toda la guía, pero puede ir trabajando por intervalos
de tiempo. ¡El trabajo aquí descrito se relaciona con el módulo 1 y 2 de del libro del estudiante
Way to go Series! 6º, que está disponible en la plataforma Colombia Aprende.

1. Sección 1: se divide en 4 partes de Vocabulario:

1) Su hijo(a) deberá repasar y aprender las diferentes emociones y
sentimientos. Conociendo como describir cómo se siente una persona.
¿Para eso debe completar las respuestas a la pregunta how do you feel
today?
2) Estudiar las descripciones físicas para el cabello, ojos y estatura. En este punto
debe completar un pequeño texto con información personal siguiendo las
indicaciones entre paréntesis.
3) ¿En esta parte Vamos a aprender las partes de nuestro cuerpo y
responder how many do you have? Respondiendo a la cantidad que tiene de cada
parte del cuerpo. Su hijo (a) debe recordar que en ingles usamos s o es para hacer sustantivos
plurales, pero hay algunos plurales irregulares que no siguen esta regla como en el ejemplo del
Word bank.
4) En esta parte debes buscar el significado de otros adjetivos o características que
servirán más adelante en el desarrollo de la guía.

2. Sección 2: En esta sección encontrarás la explicación gramatical de los temas a aprender y

poner en práctica el vocabulario. Encontrarás unos videos en recursos que te ayudarán a
entender mejor cada uno de estos temas. Ten en cuenta que en el punto 1.1 el estudiante
debe responder las preguntas del árbol genealógico y los miembros de la familia allí
descritos.

3. Sección 3: En esta sección vamos a desarrollar diferentes actividades para poner

en práctica lo aprendido a través de 14 actividades de rellenar espacios y de
producción.
1) Unir las fotos de lucas con la palabra que mejor describe su emoción, escribir en la line la
oración para describirla.
2) En este punto el estudiante buscara la lista de palabras en la sopa de letras, en la cual la
encontrara en inglés. Una vez la encuentre debe escribirla enfrente de su significado en
español.
3) Debe organizar las palabras relacionadas con feelings y emotions, una vez organizada
debe completar cada oración.
4) Nombra cada una de las partes del cuerpo usando las palabras del cuadro.
5) Completa las oraciones con el plural de la palabra en paréntesis y luego dibuja el
extraterrestre siguiendo las indicaciones de las oraciones.
6) En este punto, debe leer el texto e ir completando el Árbol genealógico, teniendo en
cuenta las expresiones que debe tener cada persona según la descripción.
7) Aquí debes hacer la descripción de tres miembros de tu familia, escribiendo en cada
cuadro lo que se pide cada persona.
8) Observa la familia simpsons y siguiendo la oración completa con el miembro de la familia
que corresponde.
9) Lee las descripciones de diferentes personas, y dibuja en tu cuaderno a cada una de ellas.
10) En este punto el estudiante debe leer la oración y escoger la respuesta correcta según
corresponde.
11) Lee las descripciones de diferentes personas famosas y encierra el adjetivo que mejor las
describe.
12)Pega en tu cuaderno una imagen de tu persona famosa favorita y descríbela físicamente,
di su nombre, describe su cabello, estatura. ¿Quiénes son los miembros de su familia
usando possessive´s y porque te gusta?
13)Dibuja tu árbol genealógico y descríbelo usando posessivos como en el ejercicio 6 y 8.
14)Has un collage, con 6 o 9 selfies tuyas o de familiares haciendo algún gesto y describe su
emoción en la foto, y descríbela físicamente.

Remember that: In English we usually add -s or -es to the noun to make plural nouns, but
there are some irregular plurals that do not follow the rule like the example in the word

GRAMMAR:

1. HOW DO YOU FEEL TODAY?

To talk about feelings, we are going to

use the present simple with verb be
answering to the question - How do
you feel today?
Example:
Affirmatives: I am happy, he
is Angry, we are sick.
Negative: I’m not happy, Mateo is not Angry, María and I are sick.

We can also use the word feel, to say your emotion or feeling adding s after the word
feel for third persons.

1.1 Mary’s sister is happy

We use possessives to say that something belongs to someone (for people and
animals). To form a possessive, we add an apostrophe and ‘s to a singular noun.
When a plural noun ends in -s, we just add an apostrophe (') to the noun.
Example:
 Juan’s brother is Lucca = El hermano de Juan es lucas (usamos ‘s para decir
que Lucca le pertenece a juan o es miembro de su familia.)
 The cats’ eyes = Los ojos del gato
 My sister’s arms = los brazos de mi hermana

We can describe people following the next structures. (Podemos describir las personas
usando las siguientes estructuras.

To say the color and form of the object that we are going to describe, we are going to use
the following structure. (Para decir el color y forma de la parte que describiremos, usaremos la
siguiente estructura)

How many fingers do you have?

In this lesson we are going to learn about Countable nouns with body parts. Always the
questions for countable nouns are the same the only word that change is the auxiliary
(do /does) and the subject. (en esta elección vamos a aprender sobre los sustantivos contables con
las partes del cuerpo. Y siempre la pregunta para un sustantivo contable es la misma la única palabra que

cambia es el auxiliar (do y does) y el sujeto.
