question 120 would you take the drugs below if it was legal? (also, any
additional comments on the legal system?)
respondent answer
yeah but they would be taxed and be more expensive
no
no
legality doesn't matter- it is the effect of the drug that i take into
consideration.
i think people are scare of what would happen if so called 'mind altering'
drugs were legal, there would have to be a lot more legeslation, but hey we should
all take a leaf oyt of amsterdams book
no
would try things but not necessarily 'do them'. d. would b different if
legalised. cannabis would b more expensive; drier but less strong.classa would b
safer
they should educate people in school more realistically about drugs, cause
when they try cannabis and realise the government has lied to them, theyll think
all the other ones arent so bad either.
with drugs the legality it generally pointless, except to scare away peopl
from trying it the 1st time. once tried, no problems doing it again.personally do
different drugs based upon effect, not lea
no, i don't take them because i don't want to not because it's illegal
legal schmegal
i don't think issues of legality prevent people from using drugs. i think if
drugs were legalized they would be able to be properly controlled by the
government, safer, and crime would reduce.
hell yes! not only should they be legal they should be mandatory. what
exactly are "other designer drugs"? i've never had a designer drugs? who are these
designers? is calvin klein out making pills?
whether the drug was legal or not would make no difference in me taking it.
it wouldn't change my opinion on the drug/frequency of use; it would just
save me money.
no
well i would nt take cocaine/mdma on a daily basis, just sometimes as i
actually do
yes
probably not...

at the venue, if found with drugs, the consequences may be too harsh.
there are loads of coke heads and i think loads of people get involved with
drugs because they think the're cool.
it's easy to get hold of drugs around campus, but i think the uni does what
it can, the venue bouncers are pretty strict and it's simimlar situationto any
british university
go to the venue on a drum and bass night and look out for the ones drinking
water.
that it's much more widespread than security could ever dream, and that it's
in my experience much less of a problem than drunk people
no
it's disgraceful
its quite rare to go to a uni house party and not find some people on drugs
(excl tobacco n alcohol)
no, i haven;t heard of there being a serious drug problem on campus. i think
people do in general keep it to a undangerous limit.
not really a problem just that more people are taking them not a problem,
illegal yes but the law creates the problem.
there is a usage but i think it's not that high a percentage of users
not really. people take drugs but people who want to do well don't get
carried away. most people here realise that drugs are fun but not a way of life.
uni is somewhere a lot of people experiment with drugs for the first time, i
think its best they do it there with other people and learn to control it at this
stage so it doesnt become a big problem
not really i think it's just the age people are at where they want to
experiment and living on campus makes you have contact with a lot of people so of
course some will be into drugs
no, not a thriving market and not many serious addicts
yes, too many young people are taking all kinds of pills at parties
i don't think there is a drug problem, but i do think too many people rely
on taking drugs to have a fun time.
drug problem no. people do a lot of drugs though.
i dont no, its hard to see what u dont look out for
not aware of it
no
probably not as widespread as everyone would like to think.
no
alcohol is the biggest problem as it causes violence and injury, people dont
beat others up on pills so why is it illigal.
no, i dont think that drug use necessarily translates to a drug problem, if
people can take drugs and still manage their time and their work why is that a
problem?
yes, people are too impressionable at this age and out to prove a point,
they have little understanding of potential consequences and are under the
mentality that they are invincible.
no, it's certainly not forced upon you. i have never been part of the drug
scene and so i have never been offered.
what do you mean by problem? i do think there is a problem, drugs are
getting expensive and more difficult to get hold of. thats the problem. don't make
them legal or my friends will go out of busines
no more of a problem than anywhere else.
no, it's done behind doors. not a problem.
no
no
there are drugs on campus, but as students are not confronted with them
constantly if there is a problem on campus, it is not an apparent or intimidating
one
