Curious the abcTV3 Captions Paul Thomson to Serve 38 Months in nice clothes walking into Court versus SENTENCED Nanette Boden in a mug shot post-arrest photo, subliminally suggest Boden is the bad one while Paul Thomson is going forth to do some sort of public service. What Bias !!! Thank God for Nanette Boden, and Mr. Jovel, for being witnesses against the criminal lawyer Thomson. Deceptive, self-serving statement from Paul Thomson: When this case started I promised myself and my family I would conduct myself as a gentleman throughout the proceedings and I believe I have done that. I promised myself and my family I would apply myself to recovery to regain my health and to the spiritual principles that underpin the recovery process and I have done that. I always prayed and applied the strength I derived from Gods will to the cases I had both as a prosecutor and a defense lawyer. My prayer was simple, Lord have me try this case as you would, let me walk in your footsteps. In this case however, I did not say those prayers when people approached me to take his case. I should not have represented Mr. Jovel due to his illegal activities involving people that I knew and through them, myself. Because Mr. Jovel was charged with major drug dealing offenses , was an illegal alien and anxious to return to his country, he agreed to work for the government. He solicited my representation as a lawyer and skillfully elicited statements from me that I should not have made concerning my assistant . If I had not been so horribly ill at the time, I trust I would have been able to walk away from Mr. Jovels case. I sincerely regret my actions and statements. This mistake has had severe consequences for me and my family. This case is really just that simple. Note: Regrets his mistake of getting caught Thomson has been dealing in drugs for decades ...it is really just that simple.

Fact check, lets consider the Truth

FACT: A gentleman who verbally abused and accused Nanette Boden of mental illness when she told the TRUTH about Thomsons CRIMINAL activities. (Thank you Nanette for telling the Truth.) FACT: Recovery does not begin when one blames another as Thomson blames Mr. Jovel in this letter. FACT: A trusted informant said Paul Thomson is skimming money from drug dealers. (see Detective Sobonyas Police Notes of 02/17/1999). Sorry Paul, corruption is NOT in Gods Will. There is some indication the Informant was Ricky Timbrook. FACT: Since getting voted out of ofce in 2001, Paul represented MANY drug dealers like Mr. Jovel, and had no moral qualms about it - as long as they paid well. FACT: Paul Thomson was In the News in JUNE 2010 for a Special Prosecutor Investigation on Evidence Tampering with his mistress, Lanell Hockman -- Nanette Bodens mother, in the Jeff Washington case. Jovel could have seen the News and turned Paul in to DEA to reduce his own punishment by a Plea deal. Paul got a sweet deal. FACT: It is SIMPLE that Thomson regrets getting Arrested after decades of Bar members closing their eyes to the many crimes Paul Thomson committed over the years.

However, I have stood by hundreds of Virginians and others as their lawyer in court. My clients were in the same position I am in today. And so I feel that I am not so special that I should not stand before all of you and the court in the same manner as my clients and accept, with a humble heart, punishment. It is the only brave thing to do. I do not believe in the illegal drug dealing lifestyle Mr Jovel and others participate in. It results in terrible addiction sickness in the people they sell drugs to. And I suffered from that sickness of addiction. Many of us are victims of drug dealers, but I hope to help as many people as I can as my strength returns to address the chronic disease of the human brain called addiction so they can effectively resist the purchase and use of these poisons. Sometimes addiction develops with another mental issue. In my case it was the nagging chronic sadness of the death of my little child and then other drastic tragedies such as the capital murder case involving Winchester Police Officer Rick Timbrook. I dealt with many other horrible cases both a prosecutor and defense lawyer. I was never a callous or insensitive person and the position of a lawyer in the criminal courts exposes one to thousands of tragic circumstances. I did not see until recently how the circumstances I endured for 27 years fed my post traumatic stress disorder and addiction that resulted in my hospitalization last Thanksgiving. Many want to know how PTSD affected me. Although I am in the early stages of recovery, I can say the repetitive unfair feelings of guilt, the constant feeling of depression over the loss, and the flight to intoxicants are symptoms. In this case, the government even released messages from me to others before my arrest in January showing that I was trying to grapple with and understand my symptoms of sadness from Ricks case and others. I always told my children to wake up and try to do something nice for someone every day. It is a way of life I tried to follow. With that , I hope to move forward in my life with the grace of God. I very much love my wife and three boys and my family and friends. Many of them, as well as the government, knew I was very ill. I thank them and all of the wonderful people that reached out to help me both before and after the charges were leveled against me. PRAYER: That Pauls disease of the human brain called deception and delusion is healed while in jail. FACT: The trusted Informant in Detective Sobonyas notes has been redacted, but the space ts the names: Ricky Timbrook. The original is being concealed. THOUGHT: It is a slap in the face of TRUE PTSD sufferers, SOLDIERS who have seen buddies blown to bits, for Paul Thomson to claim PTSD, to gain sympathy. Yet again, shame on you Paul Thomson! Thanksgiving, you already knew Jovel had ratted on you. All a charade! FACT: When Thomson was the public prosecutor, he often made press releases to convict the accused in the Court of Public Opinion, while committing many Brady Violations of covering up Exculpatory Evidence to prove a man innocent. QUESTION: Given Paul Thomson is skimming money from drug dealers in 02/17/1999, Is Paul mentioning Ricky Timbrooks case a bit like a coward hiding behind a womans skirts? QUESTION: Is it doing something nice when Paul would wake up with different woman than his wife, including Lanell Hockman, mother of Nanette Boden, witness against Thomson? Paul, was that love of a wife? QUESTION: Like in the Watergate Hearings, What did Judge Wetsel and Judge Prosser know, and when did each know it, about drug dealings with Thomson?
