Full Description of Workshops


Preventing high cholesterol; cooking low fat. The aim of this workshop is too learn about cardiovascular diseases and foods that raise cholesterol in our diet. Y ou will learn low fat cooking techniques and will get low fat food shopping guidelines. According to the 2010 UK statistics on cardiovascular disease (CVD), there is pattern of excess CVD mortality in the winter months. 1 in 8 women die prematurely every year because of CVD. Half Term Break Nutrition Workshop for Kids During this workshop children will learn about increasing daily fiber intake. They will also learn about food safety, food preparation and basic cooking skills. Kids should have between 25 and 30 grams of fiber each day but most children eat about 14g. Fibres are functionally important for the health of children: they improve normal bowel function, preventgastrointestinal disorders, prevent and treat obesity, reduce cholesterol values andlower blood glucose peaks after meals (Williams 1995). Real fun for kidsand a health preventive workshop. One month Detox Program During this detox you will learn how to prepare your body to detox gently over 2 weeks. The price includes the necessary basic detox supplements, 2follow ups and light lunch on the final meeting. You will get the education, the time and the consistent support! Strategies for Coping with a Specific Diet Whether or not you have being advised to omit or avoid a specific food or food group, this lecture will benefit you. Knowing how to balance your nutrition with other foods is a real plus to enhance your diet. You will understand better the properties of different foods and will be able to reduce possible food intolerances, manage symptoms if present and improve your family nutrition as well. Surfing the Holiday celebrations without gaining weight Here we go again! Another year almost gone and still those pounds are lurking around. This holida y season will be different as you will know better how to eat at cocktail and dinner parties without storing all the calories you ingest! I will teach you some strategies to save your waistline. Food Intolerance Testing I highly recommend doing a Food Intolerance Test as you will benefit from knowing you could be eating the wrong food for your health. Whether you inherited food sensitivity or not you could prevent inflammation symptoms (pain in joints, headaches, bloating) and improve your immune system (decreasing flu and cold episodes and duration, skin symptoms, asthma, etc.)
