The Science Behind the Law of Attraction and The Common Mind Written by Dr.

Bat El Benyamin

It's Real. Here's the Proof.

The Law of Attraction comprises many different aspects, including thinking about what you want, being able to visualize your success, and attaching emotions to the things you desire. For those who are as yet unfamiliar with the process, and to answer questions people may have, we have compiled research from multiple studies and publications that confirm the importance of each of these aspects:

The Law Of Attraction: Platonic Roots

As early as circa 391 BC, the Greek philosopher Plato had already stated that likes tend toward likes (or like attracts like) as in earth to earth, water to water, and so on.

We Are All Connected

Philosopher V. Stengers paper Cosmic Mind quotes physician Robert Lanza as follows: We are all the ephemeral forms of a consciousness greater than ourselves. The mind of every human being is instantaneously connected to each other as a part of every mind existing in space and time. According to Lanza, Stenger notes, quantum mechanics tells us that all human minds are united in one mind and the entities of the universe - electrons, photons, galaxies, and the like - are floating in a field of mind that cannot be limited within a restricted space or period.

The Law Of Attraction: The Energy Of Attraction

In his 1902 lecture entitled Waves in Water, Air and Ether given at the Royal Institution, J. A. Fleming said:

All branches of physical science demonstrate the fact that every completed manifestation, of whatever kind and on whatever scale, is started by the establishment of a nucleus, infinitely small but endowed with an unquenchable energy of attraction.

How The Law Of Attraction Works William Walker Atkinson wrote in his book Thought Vibration or the Law of Attraction in the Thought World that:

The more Desire you have for a thing, the more you Love it; and the more you Love it, the greater will be the attractive force exerted toward its attainment - both within yourself, and outside of you.

The Law Of Attraction: Visualization Power

Hassabis and Maguire found that being able to visualize a better future meant that it was more likely for a person to actually bring that future into existence: The ability to construct a hypothetical situation in ones imagination prior to it actually occurring may afford greater accuracy in predicting its eventual outcome.

The Positive, Repetitive Power Of Affirmations

By constantly telling yourself you can achieve something, you predict a constructive outcome. Positive repetitive thought (RT) has been found to enable: (a) recovery from upsetting and traumatic events, (b) adaptive preparation and anticipatory planning, (c) recovery from depression, and (d) uptake of health-promoting behaviors.

The Law Of Attraction & Emotions: Thoughts Become Things

Gerald L. Clore and Jeffrey R. Huntsinger of the Department of Psychology, University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA 22904, USA, wrote that; Theorists commonly assume that peoples attitudes and judgments reflect information about the object of judgment. But peoples evaluations also reflect information from their own affective reactions. In social situations, for example, the crucial factor in our evaluation of other people is often the feelings that they elicit in us.

Clore and Huntsinger add that knowing and feeling are tightly linked implying that feelings or emotions are important to help us make decisions and get our thoughts in order.

PMCID: PMC2483304 In a study of resilience and emotions following 9/11, psychologists hypothesized that positive emotions buffer people from crisis situations, and that positive emotions allow resilient people to thrive under any circumstances. Fredrickson et al state in their concluding remarks: amidst the emotional turmoil generated by the September 11th terrorist attacks, subtle and fleeting experiences of gratitude, interest, love, and other positive emotions appeared to hold depressive symptoms at bay and fuel postcrisis growth.

And in their discussion section they add: analyses suggest that positive emotions were critical active ingredients that helped resilient people to thrive despite the emotional blows delivered by the September 11th attacks.

The Law Of Attraction: Positive Thinking Plus

In their paper published in the Yonsei Medical Journal on June 30, 2007, authors Ji Young Jung et al note the relationship between positive thinking and life satisfaction in a study conducted on the general Korean population: positive thinking is a strong and consistent predictor of life satisfaction. These findings offer promise of positive thinking as an approach for psychological interventions designed to promote life satisfaction.

The Law Of Attraction: Praise From The Rich And Famous

Appearing on the Oprah Winfrey Show on June 27, 2008, acclaimed author Louise Hay, considered the mother of positive thinking, said that the Law of Attraction works because our thinking creates and brings to us whatever we think about." "Every time we think a thought, every time we speak a word, the universe is listening and responding to us, she added.

The universe has changed energetically, and so have we. Most of us do not feel different, but as the world changes the matter becomes lighter and nature of things need to be questioned. As a researcher of mind and spirit we do not have all the answers now, I will keep you informed.

When are we going to understand that the laws of universal mind are different than the laws of common mind? In the following year I am going to publish the laws of the universal mind. Welcome to my world, where nothing works as we know it. You will join me in the years to come, remember to come back. The answers are exposing themselves to me...
