Clase del 07/11 Comparativo y superlativo.

EXPLIQUEMOS UN POQUITO…

COMPARATIVO:

Son aquellos adjetivos, a los que se les cambia la

terminación, y pasan a indicar una comparación. Por ejemplo:

He is old —----- He is older than his brother..

Si bien a la mayoria se le agrega solo “er” al final, algunos

poseen algunas modificaciones:

● Si la palabra tiene de una sílaba, y es cvc (consonante,

vocal, consonante), se duplicara la ultima consonante y
ahi recién se le agregará “er”. Por ejemplo:

Big —---- Bigger

● Si la palabra tiene dos silabas, y termina en “y”, se

remplaza la “y” por una “i”, y recien se le agrega “er”. Por
ejemplo:

Happy —---- Happier

● Si la palabra tiene más de tres sílabas, solo se agregará

“more” previamente al adjetivo. Por ejemplo:

Beautiful —------- More beautiful

Hay adjetivos, que cambian directamente toda la palabra:

Good —------ better

Bad —----- worse
Por lo general, para formar una oración en comparativo, lo
haremos de la siguiente manera:

Adela is bigger than Juan Cruz.

[Pronombre - verbo to be - adjetivo en comparativo - than -

otro pronombre]

SUPERLATIVO

Son aquellos adjetivos que se les cambia la terminación, y

pasan a indicar “superación” (osea que es el mas….). Por
ejemplo:
He is old —---- He is the oldest.

Si bien a la mayoria se le agrega solo “est” al final, algunos

poseen excepciones:

● Si termina en “y”, se remplaza la “y” por una “i”, y ahi

recien “est”. Por ejemplo:

Happy —----- Happiest

● Si la palabra tiene mas de tres silabas, se agrega “most”

antes de el adjetivo. Por ejemplo:

Beautiful —---- The most beautiful.

Hay adjetivos, que cambian directamente toda la palabra:

Good —------ best

Bad —----- worst
Por lo general, para formar una oración en superlativo, lo
haremos de la siguiente manera:

Adela is the bst.

[Pronombre - verbo to be - adjetivo en superlativo]

Por lo general, antes del superlativo se agrega si o si “the”.

Pero cuando tenemos pronombres posesivos (his/ my/ out/
etc)

She is my best friend.

She is my the best friend.
