APPLICATION ENGINEER Oracle EBS Finance

Individual contributor responsible for the delivery of software application activities. Possesses advanced analytical, technical, and problem solving skills and abilities. Plans, schedules and engages in the complex or comprehensive phases of software applications design, implementation, and support. Performs assignments with minimal supervision and may have the assistance of less experienced engineers. Design, test, debug, and implement new software application systems and enhancements to existing systems. Maintain the existing software applications. May solve highly technical complex problems and be called on to consult for other projects.

Key Elements of the Position:

Work with domestic and international IT staff to design and deploy various IT solutions to meet AAM Business needs. Liaison between management and development team. Must have a balanced set of skills including scope gathering, software development, systems architecture, business analysis, project management, and leadership.

Recommend Application strategic, tactical, design, and implementation advise to AAM IT management. Perform business and technical analysis of the existing and new systems. Lead and perform tasks associated with applications upgrades/implementation such as new modules, version upgrades, report conversions, data conversions operational support and development and in the governance of the suite. Technical/Functional support of financials modules including

but not limited to General ledger GL, Accounts Payable AP, Accounts Receivable AR, Fixed Assets FA, Cash Management CM, Web ADI, iExpenses. Able to plan, gather and document business needs (requirements) by using AAM documentation standards. Organize and standardize the business requirements. Able to streamline cross functional processes. Positive attitude. Able to work with the end user, identify and document issues and risks in a timely manner and plan for risk mitigation accordingly. Assist with integration of third-party vendors.

Follow AAM IT methodology and use of templates for project and work requests. Ensure customer satisfaction by monitoring customer issues in the Help Desk system, providing timely resolution of problems, and effectively communicating with users.

Position Skills, Abilities and Education:

Required: 10 + years of IT and Oracle EBS experience Project Management skills High level oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills to work with users, team members, and management. Project Management skills High Level EBS Oracle Functional/Technical Skills. Strong knowledge of, and experience with, the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Experience with Project Management tools. Ability to handle several projects at any given time, using various technologies. Ability to work in a mixed technical environment (i.e. Unix-Oracle and/or MicrosoftOracle/SQL Server) (R), including: o Working knowledge of HP/UX 11 or UNIX equivalent.

o Working knowledge of Linux. o Working knowledge of Microsoft. Must possess strong understanding of the Oracle Financial modules (AP, AR, GL, CM) including application configuration set-ups, functionality in Release 11i/12 Experience in implementing and supporting multiple global implementations. Must have participated in multiple ERP implementations as a Financial Technical/ Functional Lead. Ability to diagnose and resolve problems especially in Oracle eBusiness Suite. Strong skills in SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Reports, Oracle Forms, Oracle Workflow, Unix Shell, Batch scripts. Strong knowledge of Oracle eBusiness Suite release 11i/12 database tables and relationships. Strong understanding of the Oracle schema. Strong knowledge of the Oracle Application Framework (OAF). Strong knowledge of Application Development Framework (ADF). Strong in diagnosing Performance issues and resolving those. High level of analytical ability where problems are complex. College degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent training.
