ART SAN DIEGO Contemporary Art Fair announces the exhibitors and programming for its 2011 show, taking place Friday, September 2 through Sunday, September 4, lo cated at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront. San Diego, CA, July 29, 2011 -- The third edition of ART SAN DIEGO Contemporary Art Fair, which will take place September 1 4, 2011 at the Hilton San Diego Bayf ront, offers a blend of leading and emerging international galleries alongside f ocused solo-artist exhibitions by Spotlight Artists and contemporary furniture d esigners. ART SAN DIEGO also provides a strong focus on the city and culture of San Diego, through Art Labs. These combined events create an opportunity to show case the diversity of San Diegos artistic community. This year ART SAN DIEGO presents 19 Art Labs featuring single and multi-artist e xhibitions, and a variety of activities ranging from performance art at the airp ort by local emerging Afro-Cuban artist Silfredo La O; multimedia installations on the grounds of the Hilton like the massive Picnic with an art exhibition, com munity discussion, zine display, and parade-watching on San Diegos longest picnic blanket; to cooperative gallery openings and music performances at locations ar ound town. For example, Balboa Park will feature Virtual Cities and Utopian Visi ons with light sculptures, video projections, poetry reading, and music performa nce.
