MESA DIRECTIVA ANFACA
2021-2022
Presiding Officers

MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENCY
The Pandemic caused by COVID-19 has demonstrated that any country, Institution or
human being can’t face the economic, health, environmental, social and technological
challenges that are presented globally by their own.
This Crisis has impacted to a greater or lesser extent the different economic activities of
our country, which in general terms have had a marked contraction. The Agrifood sector
stands out then, because it was the only one that grew 2.5% during the past year, registering
order exports of 40 billion dollars, and a surplus of more than 12.5 billion dollars.
Aware of this, at Anfaca we have promoted a work agenda, favoring the establishment of
synergies with organizations, associations, state and federal government agencies linked
to the Agri-food sector, and in this way we can address common issues, even in times of
crisis.
The food industry for animal consumption in Mexico is a clear example of the dynamism
of the livestock subsector, which is prepared to take advantage of great opportunities,
that will allow us to continue contributing to the development of our country, generating
confidence and certainty for the generation of sources of employment, which provide
well-being to our people.
OBJETIVO:
10
LIVESTOCK COORDINATION
OBJETIVE:
In livestock coordination, We will focus on
giving the most important information,in
such a way that, It is a useful instrument for
day to day decision making for our livestock
partners.
Tendencias:
Market Information:
Currently the pet food industry in Mexico has a value of 44,219 million pesos according
to information published by Euromonitor (Add Reference), which project a growth
for the category of 9.23% in amount, this same source considers that the pet market
will continue to grow steadily for at least the next 5 years. The market volume value is
estimated to be 1 million tons of dry dog food and 300 thousand tons for cats.
Trends
The increase in the pet population and the humanization, increases the
tendencies of ¨Premiunisation¨ in products and healthy trends for
pets. The adoption trend has also affected the market in a positive
way as people try to compensate for the deficiencies that the
pet had prior to being rescued.
Objetivo:
Establecer un procedimiento, junto
con un instrumento de administración
de riesgos, que les permita a los
productores – consumidores poder
realizar operaciones comerciales con
el mínimo riesgo, en donde las partes
ganen lo justo, y los contratos de
comercialización se honren.
14
COORDINATION OF
GOOD
BUSINESS
PRACTICES
Target:
Establish a procedure, together with
a risk management instrument, that
allows producers - consumers to
carry out commercial operations with
minimum risk, where the parties win
what is fair, and the commercialization
contracts are honored.

RISK MANAGEMENT
COORDINATION
In response to the strong need of our associates to cover the risks
of raw materials and taking into account the relevance risk
management instruments nowadays, as well as the timely
follow-up of the news that impact the grain and oilseed
market; The ANFACA board of directors decided to
open a specialized coordination that would attend to
this need; since the impact of the price of grain and
oilseeds in the cost of balanced feed is one with the
highest impact, exceeding 60% of the total cost.

22
WHAT IS
BALANCED FEED?
To name a few of its agricultural ingredients are sorghum, corn, wheat, barley, oats, oilseeds
pasta as soybeans, canola, safflower, cotton, by-products of corn and wheat, alfalfa meal,
or other animal like meat, bone, blood or fish and all the spectrum of vitamins, minerals
and amino acids.
Quality raw materials are used to promote and provide quality food, and meet the
requirement of the metabolism of an animal, depending on your metabolic stage, age and
weight. The contribution of any of these raw materials if supplied individually does not
represent a balanced food if it is done according to the requirements and properly balanced
specialized production lines.
Animal feed cover nutritional requirements of various animal species, in their various
stages of growth, taking into account their environment.
For all species: birds, pigs, dairy cattle and meat, fish,
molluscs and crustaceans; as a pet: dogs, cats, birds
and horses. One of the advantages of the balanced
specifically feed is that it takes into account ages, final
destination, genetics and the geographical region where are
bred and developed these animal species.
