TROCHLEAR NERVE
FUNCTION. - It is responsible for delivering efferent (motor) input to the superior
oblique muscle. Remember that the superior oblique moves the eyeball down and out.
LOCATION. – it is initially located inferior to the oculomotor nerve on the lateral wall
of the sinus, although by the time it reaches the superior orbital fissure, it is superior
(outside the tendinous ring)
TRIGEMINAL NERVE
FUNCTION. - It is that of chewing, therefore, by innervating the main muscles of
opening and closing the mouth, chewing, speech and, to a certain extent, breathing,
are related to this nerve.
LOCATION. – It has its apparent origin in the anterior and lateral region of the pons,
near the middle cerebellar peduncle, and its actual origins distributed in
pseudounipolar neurons.

NERVIO TROCLEAR
FUNCIÓN. - Es responsable de enviar información eferente (motora) al músculo
oblicuo superior. Recuerde que el oblicuo superior mueve el globo ocular hacia abajo
y hacia afuera.
LOCALIZACIÓN. – inicialmente se localiza inferior al nervio oculomotor en la pared
lateral del seno, aunque al llegar a la fisura orbitaria superior es superior (fuera del
anillo tendinoso)
NERVIO TRIGÉMINO
FUNCIÓN. - Es el de la masticación, por tanto, al inervar los principales músculos de
abrir y cerrar la boca, la masticación, el habla y, en cierta medida, la respiración, están
relacionados con este nervio.
LOCALIZACIÓN. – Tiene su origen aparente en la región anterior y lateral de la
protuberancia, cerca del pedúnculo cerebeloso medio, y su origen actual se distribuye
en neuronas pseudounipolares.
