COMPARATIVE ADVERBS

1-. Adverbios acabados en –ly.

Easily, clearly, gracefully …

Añadimos more antes del adverbio, este no cambia.

Easily -> more easily (than)

My aunt sang more beautifully than my sister did -> Mi tía cantó más hermosamente que mi
hermana lo hizo

Estructura:

Sujeto 1 + verbo + adverb -ly (comparative + more antes) + than + sujeto 2 + (verbo)

2-. Adverbios que se escriben igual que su contraparte adjetivo.

Hard, fast, late…

Añadimos –er al final del adverbio.

Hard -> harder (than)

He did his homework faster than his sister -> él hizo sus deberes más rápidamente que su
hermana.

Estructura:

Sujeto 1 + verbo + adverb (comparative + er después) + than + sujeto 2 + (verbo)

SUPERLATIVE ADVERBS

1-. Adverbios acabados en –ly.

Easily, clearly, gracefully …

Añadimos the most antes del adverbio, este no cambia.

Gracefully -> the most gracefully

He got the most beautifully even suntan of all. -> Tenía el más hermosamente bronceado de
todos.

Estructura:

Sujeto + verbo + the most + adverb (-ly) + complementos

2-. Adverbios que se escriben igual que su contraparte adjetivo.

Hard, fast, late…

Añadimos –-est al final del adverbio, no olvidar de poner el artículo the delante

Hard -> the hardest.

Alavés’ football team runs the fastest -> El equipo de fútbol del Alavés corre lo más rápidamente.

Estructura:

Sujeto + verbo + the adverb (-est después) + complementos
