late! If you and your family were photographed last summer, we have a

CATHOLIC WOMEN
“Catholic Women and Friends” has begun a weekly study on the New
Testament book, Romans. Grow in your faith and meet other Catholic
women every Thursday morning at 9:45am in the hall.
COOKBOOKS ARE HERE! Our new parish cookbook, “I am the
Vine” with over 900 recipes has arrived. We will be offering them to
you for $15 after masses on the weekend of Sept. 27-28. This would also
make a great gift for family members with pictures of our parish and
beautiful art work. We can take cash or checks so be making your list!
St. Elizabeth Seton Guild will have its first meeting of the season on
Tues., Sept. 9, at 7:30pm in the Resource room. Our program for this
year is a video series, “The Virtues: Seven Habits of Champions” by
Dr. Marcellino D’Ambrosia. All women are welcome to join us. For

We are exploring the possibility of a gardening guild with monthly
speakers that will meet after the 12:10pm mass on the second Monday of

FAITH FORMATION
High School Rel. Ed. Dinner and Parent’s Night, tonight (Sunday)
6pm in the Parish Hall.
Children’s Liturgy begins NEXT Sunday (September 14) at 10:00am
for Pre-K and Kindergarten children who have registered.
Grades 1-8 Parent and Student Open House, Wed., Sept. 17 (grades
1-5 at 6:30pm and grades 6-8 at 7:30pm). Classes begin Sept. 24.
Four and five year old program: So far there are 55 children enrolled
in the program. If you have not received an e-mail confirmation from
Karen M., your child has not been registered so please re-email. Please

It’s time to think about going back to Rel. Ed. and along with that it’s
time to think of teaching! We need teachers for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade
classes. Classes are held on Wed. nights from 8-8:45pm. If there aren’t
enough teachers, some students will have to be taught at home. If you

The High School Rel. Ed. Program is in need of adult facilitators.
Volunteers need to be at least 21 years old and have the ability to work
closely with teens and other adults and be willing to attend Virtus
Training Class. The program meets on Sunday evenings from 6-8pm.

RENEW Season 2 – The Sacraments: Wanted! Facilitators! If you
facilitated last year or are interested in leading a small group this year,

can help. Facilitator refresher training will be offered on Sept. 13 from 1-
3:30pm at St. Thomas the Apostle in Lenoir City or Sept. 17 from 6:30-
9pm at Sacred Heart gym.
Sign-ups will be held this weekend. First session: Week 1 of 6 starts
the week of Oct. 5. It’s not too early to consider where and when you
can meet.

LITURGY COMMITTEE
EARLY NOTICE: Children’s Choir will begin their new season with
practices on Wednesdays from 5:30-6:30pm in the church. Our first

On Saturday, Sept. 20th from 7-8pm in the parish hall, magician David
Russell will be presenting “The Essence of Illusion” to benefit Catholic
Charities of East Tennessee. The presentation will explore the art of
illusion and reveal life-changing Christian principles. You will be
amazed and inspired as the seven types of illusion are performed. This is
a perfect evening out for the whole family with a free will offering to

LADIES OF CHARITY
The Ladies of Charity Thrift Shop is in need of men’s clothing and
shoes.
All ladies are invited to the Annual Fall Mass and Luncheon on Sept.
12 at Holy Ghost parish. The day will begin with a rosary at 9:30am
followed by Mass at 10am. There will be a brief reflection on “Service”
by Msgr. Mankel. As Holy Ghost celebrates the 100th anniversary of
their founding, we plan to honor the dedication and commitment of the
women of Holy Ghost who through 66 years of volunteering at Ladies of
Charity served the needy of this area. A general meeting will be
