RESUMEN
This essay explores the potential narrative of archeology in an urban context in the department of Sucre in
northern Colombia, based on the excavation of an Indian burial ground with the participation of the community in
the municipality of Los Palmitos, which expressed interest in learning about ancient past, is used the analogy
between modern bahareque houses and indigenous pottery of a funerary context, building bridges between the
present and the past, showing the clay as raw material and pottery as an action in which the hands are
determinant in decoration and shape of houses and pottery.
