WINK-TV was the first television station to call Southwest Florida
home. Over the years it has come to be highly respected for its
quality programming, accurate and timely local news, and level of
service to viewers, advertisers, and the community at large. Because
of their commitment to high standards, the WINK-TV team has
become the most recognized and watched in the region.
Earning this coveted position and maintaining it are two separate
challenges- the latter demands ongoing attention and action once
the former has been achieved. Wink News, an element of the
organization which has garnered viewers' high opinion and loyalty,
has consistently been an area of devotion and pride for WINK-TV. To
consistently offer the best product, the team carefully studies options
for further development and diligently processes feedback from the
community. In 2009, this vigilance illuminated the need for attention
to their online presence. It was outdated, and it took too much time
to upload data and to change the content; they were falling behind
the competition.
Justin Strauss, Director of Internet and Web Services, began
