Dear Parents and Guardians,

Our school has recently adapted the BYOD policy. This means that your child will be

able to bring their own device to class. Your child will have access to their tablets, computers,

iPhone, and iPad, as well as the internet for homework, projects, and assessments. Attached to

this letter is a copy of an infographic that has been given to your students to help them “Be a

Digital Citizen.” As a digital citizen, students are expected to be kind, courteous, and respectful

to one another. Technology should be used responsibly, inside and outside the classroom.

Students are to report any misuse of the technology to a trusted adult or call the hotline number

provided on the newsletter. The iconographic will also provide information, tips, activities, and

other resources for you and your child. It is my goal to help keep your child safe while using the

internet and would appreciate your support. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any

questions or concerns you may have.

Estimados padres y tutores,

Nuestra escuela ha adaptado recientemente la política BYOD. Esto significa que su hijo podrá

traer su propio dispositivo a clase. Su hijo tendrá acceso a sus tabletas, computadoras, iPhone y

iPad, así como a Internet para tareas, proyectos y evaluaciones. Adjunto a esta carta hay una

copia de una infografía que se les ha dado a sus estudiantes para ayudarlos a “Ser un ciudadano

digital”. Como ciudadano digital, se espera que los estudiantes sean amables, corteses y

respetuosos entre sí. La tecnología debe usarse de manera responsable, dentro y fuera del aula.

Los estudiantes deben informar cualquier uso indebido de la tecnología a un adulto de confianza

o llamar al número de línea directa que se proporciona en el boletín. La iconografía también

proporcionará información, consejos, actividades y otros recursos para usted y su hijo. Mi
