Stop Mindlessly Praying

You need to learn to see God through being silent and listening to His creation. He is who he is and we dont change that. We can never exaggerate God, He is the same and He will never end. He knows each one of us deeply and specifically. He knew us before we were conceived in our mothers womb. He created everything for Him. He can do whatever He wants. Compared to God we are nothing. He is fair and just. Excuses are not necessary and do not matter. God can punish us as He sees fit. He is beyond comprehension. Gods throne is impossible to describe with mere words. When we come before Him, He sees us for who we are straight to our core. Before you start to pray to Him, realize who he is, try to imagine Him sitting on his throne, watching you as you approach Him, and listening to your every word. Enter His presence bold, yet humble. Now you start to share with Him everything on your heart and mind, leave nothing out because He is hanging on your every word. He is a Father that wants to hear anything and everything His children have to say. We are not worthy to be in His presence, yet we are invited to be at all times.

Giving God Your All

When you think about sinning or messing up, are you more worried about the consequences or letting down the God who loves you? John 14:15 says,If you love Me you will obey My commands. God wants us to know and love Him. I John 2:3-4 say, We know that we have come to know Him if we obey His commandments. The man who says I know Him [Jesus], but does not do what He commands is a liar and the truth is not in him. Challenge yourself to sit down and read the four gospels. See how Jesus lived his life and find out what God is saying to you. Try to fully understand and see what it means to be a Christian a follower of Christ. It should become clear to you that we are not at all living and loving God the way we should be. Dont think though if you are a true believer that you arent saved anymore. In the middle of our failed attempts to love Jesus, His GRACE covers us. We each have small lukewarm elements in out lives, and there is where Gods grace, which doesnt make any sense, comes into play. The Bible demonstrates clearly that there is room for failure and sin in our pursuit of God. 2 Corinthians 12:9 says, His grace is sufficient. We need to and should be constantly moving towards Christ. Chapter 2 in Colossians shows the church at Laodicea healthy, God-loving, and legitimate. But by the time the book of Revelation was written, (about 25 years later); their hearts apparently didnt belong to God. Despite the fact they were still active as a church. They were prospering and not experiencing any persecution. They were comfortable. In our Christian life, if we are moving towards God, the Satan is doing everything in his power to stop you. All sorts of temptations and

hardships arise. If you are not growing in God, then you wont have as much hardship and will be comfortable, but you will be deceived. Dont be fooled when hardships come just cling to God. Cling to Him; soon you will learn to cling to Him for the rest of your life. Thats the beginning of loving God and having a real relationship with Him. Luke 18:27 says, What is impossible with man is possible with God. God wants our best, deserves our best, and demands our best. Instead we choose to do everything ourselves and give Him the last bit of what is truly us. Doing this is not just inadequate, but God says that it is evil. You might say, Something is better than nothing! God says, Id rather have nothing instead of the tiny bit you give me. God measures our life on how we love, and not much else matters. I Corinthians 13:23 says I have all faith so as to remove mountains, but if I dont have love I am nothing. If I give away all I have, and if I deliver my body as a sacrifice, but have no love in me, I gain nothing. Love is over used today, but read 1 Corinthians 13 to find out what our lives should look like and how we should love. Put your name in each part Name is patient, Name is kind are you living your life right? Do you love God right? This is the point where you should start to live and realize everything you do should revolve around loving God. Every thought or action, the phrase What would Jesus do? is so simple and, the answer is so obvious! He would love. He would be patient, kind, and tenderhearted. Why? Because God IS love! We should live our lives in love, loving God in all we do. Doing so puts us one step closer to God, and fully accepting and sharing the crazy love He has for us.

How Much Longer Will You Live

Our life is not average, God is not average, and today is not just another day. In our day to day life, we live caught up in ourselves, and not caught up on God. Our life is just a vapor the Bible says in James 4:13-14 do you really believe your life could end at any second or do you feel invincible? Never worry about that though but instead celebrate! Philippians 4:4-6 tells us not to worry about things and get caught up in worrying so that we dont lose sight of Gods command to rejoice. Worryimplies that we dont quite trust that God is big, powerful, or living enough to take care of whats happening in our lives. Stresssays the things we are involved in are important enough to replace God with worrying in our lives starting the process all over. These two things say its okay to sin and not trust God because the stuff in our life is somehow the exception to Gods rules. Dont ever forget we are forgiven, our lives are short, and we are headed to a place where we wont ever have problems. You have to remember its not all about you, its all about our creator, God! 1 Corinthians 10:31 says Whatsoever you do, do all to the glory of God. Even if life is

hard it is still to God glory Psalm 73:3, 13, 16-17 in the presence of God we have a deeper peace and joy. Our part of Gods plan is to bring Him glory. The point of our life is to point to Him! God wants to be glorified because the whole earth and everything in it is His. Even though it sounds backwards we should thank God we are so weak. Life is so fragile and precious, but dont stop taking risks and living life to the fullest! Acknowledge your lack of control and reach out for Gods help. Always remember Philippians 4:13. Be thankful for the unknowns in life and use them to run to God. Are you ready for everything that is going to happen? Read Matthew 10:32-33. If you died right now, wouldnt you want it to be while you were clinging to Jesus and proclaiming his name? Just think if you were proclaiming This is who Jesus is! and the next moment Jesus is saying, This is who Roy is! Wouldnt that be amazing? Are we ready for what is coming? Do you proclaim and cling to Jesus so much that that is what you would be doing or wanting to do when you die? Remember Ecclesiastes 7:2 Dont pretend to be someone that youre not, remember our AllKnowing God can see straight to our core. Revelation 3:1 Dont just get into Heaven by the skin of your teeth. 1 Corinthians 3:13-15 get out and be active for God. Stop living selfishly and forgetting God! He is everything! Fall in love with Him and have that desire, just like his crazy love for you.
