Operations Officer
Ensured the efficient and effective workflow of the Section while directing the
work of 7 staff officers. Worked in close collaboration with more than 50 profe
ssionals from SHAPE, NATO Military Headquarters, the International Staff, the In
ternational Military Staff and the Nations while managing a 30 million Euro Scie
ntific Program of Work budget and coordinating all aspects of the program.
* Played a key role in improving NATO operations planning in the wake of the dis
solution of the Soviet Union. Provided key contributions to the establishment of
the NATO Response Force (NRF), intended to be one of the principal vehicles for
change in the Alliance.
o Served as program manager driving development, testing, implementation and uni
nterrupted operation of an automated information system and a web-accessible AIS
database to catalogue military assets of NATO and Partnership for Peace nations

An established military organization with 5 organic companies and a total of 80
0 Marines.
Battalion Commander
Provided high level direction to 800 Marines and sailors while administering a m
ulti-million dollar account funding the operation and maintenance of a wide vari
ety of weapons systems, comm-electronic and motor transport equipment. Managed a
highly successful support program for the commandas families throughout its rig
orous training exercises and deployments.
* Successfully employed the command in numerous multinational joint exercises in
the U.S, Europe, and Africa including Kosovo. Developed and implemented the sta
ndard template for the deployment of Marine units assigned the task of Strategic
Reserve for NATO in Kosovo.
o Prepared and deployed a 1200-man strong reinforced battalion to the Mediterran
ean from December 2000 to May 2001. Drove the training of 800 Marines in mountai
n warfare skills, combined arms live fire maneuvers, and amphibious operations i
n locations ranging from California to North Carolina.

2nd Marine Division, Jacksonville, North Carolina 1996 - 1998


A division of the United States Marine Corps, which forms the ground combat ele
ment of the II Marine Expeditionary Force.
Operations Officer
Guided the efforts of 2 officers, 8 senior enlisted Marines, and 7 civilians ens
uring combat readiness of 5 units comprised of 2,400 Marines each prior to deplo
yment. Personally trained and supervised more than 5 performance evaluation team
s while ensuring compliance with the regulations of local, state, and federal ag
encies.

Marine Corps Security Forces Company, Rodman Naval Station, Panama Canal, Panam
a 1992 a" 1995
A Marine Corps unit charged with the protection of the US Embassy, Rodman Naval
Air Station and US Naval Security Group Activity Galeta Island against a wide va
riety of threats including terrorism.
Commanding Officer
* Ensured the security of US assets in Panama based on the Atlantic and Pacific
Oceans sides of the Panama Canal and in Panama City. Directed the efforts of 152
officers and enlisted Marines providing counter-surveillance and physical secur
ity operations. Supervised the Marine Corps Exchange in Panama, achieving balanc
e between profitability, management of a multinational civilian work force, and
effective implementation of the Morale, Welfare and Recreation program for the c
ommandas Marines and sailors.
* Played key role in the U.S. Southern Commandas successful handling of the a94-
a95 Cuban migrants crisis in Panama. Developed and implemented a highly successf
ul program coordinating the assets of the Navy, Army and Marines to squelch a ma
ss uprising and escape of more than 1000 Cuban migrants housed along the Panama
Canal.
Early career success as a Legal Chief, Platoon Commander, Company Commander, Ins
pector, and Instructor with authority for ensuring the combat readiness of as ma
ny as 2000 military professionals a year through leadership in training, discip
line, and command. Noted for successfully activating and subsequently deactivati
ng a unit of 157 Marines for employment in Saudi Arabia supporting Operations De
sert Shield and Desert Storm.
