Program Coordination while employed at Dyna-Pak
Designed and implemented a user-friendly Windows-based computerized inventory c
omputer program including a hard copy filing system to facilitate a change from
an outdated written system while employed at Dyna-Pak Corp. This Warehouse Manag
ement System insured an accurate up-to-the-minute inventory of all finished good
s as well as packaging materials.
Upgraded and improved past warehouse layout and design as well as redesigning a
ll shipping, receiving, and loading systems. Revised freight policies to become
more customer-friendly and, at the same time, protect Dyna-Pak's best interest.
Negotiated rates with truckload carriers saving 15% compared to previous rates
along with negotiating tariffs with LTL carriers. From 1998 until my resignation
in 2005, maintained a 72% discount rate with a 1997 base-rate.
Maintained carrier records on damage, service standards, all incoming and outgo
ing shipments, and inventory levels of both finished goods and packaging supplie
s. Worked closely with office personnel on invoices to guarantee correct billing
