Croscill - Textile home fashions company. Royal Home Fashions is a subsidiary of
Croscill for manufacturing and distribution.
Vice President, Administration and Controller
Spearheaded 8-member leadership and support team (manufacturing, distribution, f
acilities, quality, purchasing, accounts payable, and an assistant controller),
with control of $35M operating budget. Directed RHF accounting/financial, and co
st accounting activities. Held approval authority for all major expenditures and
payments. Additionally, oversaw all of RHF administrative operations, including
policies and procedures, insurance, and building maintenance, while serving as
spokesperson/liaison with outside parties.
Directed construction of new distribution center, as well as expansion of existi
ng facilities. Regularly visited facilities to observe and advise on new product
s, equipment, staffing, and operational efficiency. Coordinated downsizing of fa
cilities, as well as sale of real estate and equipment, following increase in of
fshore product sourcing.
Provided mentoring and counseling to managers including, but not limited to, dir
ect reports. Developed and prioritized daily plans as part of efforts to advance

System Implementations: Achieved savings across organizational functions through
selection and implementation of new and improved systems:
* Manufacturing - $5M reduction in inventory through deployment of MRP system
* Payroll/HR - generated $75K annual savings through deployment of updated syste
m that enabled online input/maintenance for payroll, personnel information, and
benefits administration.

* Slashed off-standard time by 64%, while reducing supervisor turnover by 7% and
hourly staff by 18% through facilitation of classes for supervisors on staffing
levels, controllable expenses, and workplace efficiencies.
* Boosted employee morale and reduced need for HR interventions through directio
n of an initiative to update out-of-date policies and procedures so that they be
tter responded to current business conditions.
Financial/Cost Savings Improvements
* Delivered $700K in cost savings through comprehensive analysis and co-developm
ent of a cost-reduction plan that targeted expenditures for staffing and equipme
nt, as well as a review of maintenance and mechanical processes.
* Achieved additional $300K through detailed analysis and presentation of labor
costs, which included ratio of indirect to direct costs in each labor category.
Facilities Management
* Drove 233% revenue increases - from $90M to $300M - through direction of 350K
