TEXAS INSTRUMENT Dallas,TX 1990 2009
Business Analyst / Project Manager (2004 2009)
Planned, coordinated and managed implementation of IT projects. Provided leader
ship and direction to project teams as a technical subject matter expert; commun
icated with project stakeholders, updated and managed project schedules, identif
ied and mitigated risks, worked collaboratively with multiple geographically dis
persed teams to drive on-time and on-budget completion of all projects.
SELECTED PROJECT INVOLVEMENTS:
* Contributed to the development and deployment of a web application designed to
replace an outdated legacy system; created training materials and curriculum, t
rained more than 1,400 non-English speaking employees at the Taiwan facility. D
eveloped a readiness plan including automation migration, organized meetings bet
ween Dallas and Taiwan, conducted software testing and data mining to verify pro
duct readiness, and drove the deployment of this application. The successful tw
o-year project won the Texas Instruments Innovators in Action award in 2008.
* Managed the installation of an application (RTD) in the testing facilities in
Malaysia, Taiwan and Philippines; the new application provided visibility for te
sting needs based on customer priority and other planning factors. Materials we
re shipped according to customer demand which contributed to increased revenue a
nd on-time delivery.
* Planned and deployed a new Manufacturing Execution System (MES) as part of the
relocation of a manufacturing facility to Malaysia. Worked in Malaysia to coor
dinate overall system design, setup and installation; verified device setup acco
rding to specifications, tested and troubleshot the system, conducted training c
lasses on the MES, drove the successful migration which enabled the factory to r
amp up to 100% production on schedule.
* Developed and implemented a system design on the Manufacturing Execution Syste
m (MES) to facilitate proper testing of semiconductor material in two factories
which allowed the material to be tested 100%, thus ensuring highest quality prio
r to shipment to customers.
TEXAS INSTRUMENT (continued)
Manufacturing Systems Engineer (1998 2004)
Supported Manufacturing Execution System (MES) for semiconductor manufacturing;
worked with over 100 Process Engineers to troubleshoot, develop and implement so
lutions to increase efficiency and productivity in the manufacturing process. E
nsured system availability to the factory, communicated with engineers to resolv
e process problems.
* Installed a tracking system used in the manufacturing process across multiple
production plants in Dallas, Houston, Tucson and Philippines which enabled manag
ement of MTTR and MTTF metrics as well as preventive maintenance schedules on al
l machines. Developed training material and conducted training on the user inte
rface and functionality of the system for manufacturing and support teams at all
locations. This project led to increased system availability which directly im
pacted production output and on-time delivery.
* Developed and implemented a concurrent reorganization of mainframe databases;
effectively eliminated prolonged downtime of 24 hours each year to all factories
across the company, and enabled millions of dollars in cost savings. The proce
dure was developed into a repeatable process which was implemented company-wide.

* Merged two manufacturing execution systems which had been operating separately
since their creation in order to reduce demand on system resources; contributed
to the development and implementation of a new numbering scheme and naming conv
ention as well as extensive planning and testing. Completed the migration succe
ssfully and the unified system is still in production today.
* Developed a repeatable process and served as a central point of contact to fac
ilitate communication before and during planned outages; created an outage check
list to ensure communication and readiness planning across all factories. The c
hecklist also provided continuity across all manufacturing and support teams to
complete all tasks prior to and on the day of the scheduled outage.
PC/Network Support Specialist (1990 1998)
Supported and repaired PC hardware and software; maintained network hardware and
software, interfaced with customers daily to troubleshoot computer and network
problems.
* Analyzed, planned and executed a successful fiber optic network upgrade that i
mproved system availability without disrupting manufacturing production.
* Coordinated and implemented a hardware refresh of 700 computers and peripheral
s to eliminate repetitive problems. Successfully increased both system availabi
lity and functionality.
