Measure 2" in from the top left side of your canvas and 2" in from the left side of your canvas.
The meeting place hole in your canvas is the top left hole of your design. On your master chart
you will see this hole marked by * .

Begin stitching the frame of Rhodes stitches using Thread #1. Lay the ribbon 20 13
flat on both sides of the canvas. Stitch the completed frame.

Stitch the Waffle stitches located in the four corners of the design. These 9 12
are done using two threads in each square. For the lime-green lines using

Thread #9 and for the dark blue lines use the following threads: Thread #4
in the top right corner, Thread #7 in the bottom right corner, Thread #5 in 25 28
the bottom left corner and Thread #6 in the top left corner.

When stitching the Waffle stitch, make sure to complete the last stitch as
follows: come up at #27 and cross over all the stitches until you go under 16 13
stitch 21-22.

Stitch the Cushion stitches located on either side of the groupings of Waffle
stitches you just completed. in the four corners of the design. These are
done using one ply of Thread# 1. On the Cushion stitches with brown lines
crossing over them, use Thread #9 and follow the brown lines.

Between each cluster of the Cushion Stitches there is a column of stitches


done in Basketweave. Stitch these using Thread #6. These columns taper
off in the center of the design.

Next you will stitch the large central Jessica. Use Thread #3 for the Jessica.
Follow the diagram on the next page for the sequence of the Jessica.

On the Master Chart locate the long stitches going from Inside the Jessica, going over the long stitches you
the outer side of the Jessica in toward the center of the placed in the last step, lay the stitches that form
design. Use Thread #10 for the dark blue lines and boxes using Thread #8.
Thread # 11 for the pink lines. Lay the threads as lay as
possible.

Tack these boxes down in the center of each side following the teal colored
lines which go over the box sides. Use Thread #5. You can pierce the
diagonal long stitches if they fall in your way.

Place the grouping of 7 French Knots at the center of the design. These Close-up of the teal colored tack stitches
should be done with 3 wraps.

The beads in this design are placed on the canvas next to the Waffle stitches.
The green circles represent the teal colored beads and the light pink colored
circles represent the brown colored beads.

For the beads sitting between each of the Rhodes stitches along the outer
frame, you will come up on one side of the Rhodes stitch, string five beads
on your thread and go down into the canvas on the opposite side of the
Rhodes stitch. Do this around the entire frame following the circles on the
Master Chart.
