For the last two months at Edgerton Upper Elementary, students have been investing
some of their personal time outside of school creating posters that represented “Respect”
in March and “Fairness“ in April. It was set up as the Edgerton Art Prize for Character.
Since April was the month of “Fairness” all the students who took their personal time
to create a poster received a token prize. In May, the focus will be on “Citizenship” and
students will be doing something school wide in recognition of this. The students really
displayed some creativity in their artwork, mixing themes and colors.
The students represented in the picture created Fairness posters. They are standing next to some of the
pictures that represented Respect from the previous month. The students pictured are Elizebeth Fleet, Megan
Baird, Maria Curtis, Hannah Johnson, Michaela Weber, Jason Forbes, Jennifer Ludwig, Dylan Bowden, Elissa
Ashley, Emma Sickelsteel, Alexis Selelyo, Natalee Bradley, Tia Drilling, Melody Marcum, Anthony Souders,

2. It is going to be risky. Being myself involves no risks. It is my ultimate truth, and I live it fearlessly. I always have plenty more
than I need. Summer Concert Series at 6:00 P.M.
3. It will take a long time. I have infinite patience when it comes to fulfilling my destiny. I will do what ever it takes for as long as May 29 – Marty Miller
it takes. July 3 – Doug Anderson
4. There will be family drama. I would rather be loathed for who I am, than for who I am not. I have July 24 – Hark Up Girls
loving support from those that care. August 14 – Jim Worthing
5. I do not deserve it. I am a Divine creation, a piece of God. Therefore, I cannot be undeserving. I am
OK. I deserve a wonderful life. September 4 – John Shear
6. It is not my nature. My essential nature is perfect and faultless. It is to this nature that I return. I am
learning to overcome any genetic conditions and old learned programming.
7. I can not afford it. I am connected to unlimited sources of abundance. I have always had and always
will have plenty. How can I afford this?
Next week we will continue with more of these memes. For now when you find a meme that applies
to you, read the healing affirmation or create your own. Then every single time you hear the old meme in
your mind or from you mouth, cancel it, and plug in the new one. Within a short time you will be thinking
and responding in a different way and life will be getting better. (To be continued next week)
