ADVERTISEMENTS.
THE COUNTY
FIRE & PROVIDENT LIFE OFFICE
IS ONE OF THE
Oldest, Wealthiest, &. Cheapest in the United Kingdom.
By the last Official Return, its Increase of Business exceeded
that of every other Office in London.
ESTABLISHED 67 YEARS AGO, IT HAS NOW A CAPITAL O I NEARLY
TWO AND A-HALF MILLIONS.
WHILE the Scale Rate of the Annual Premium contrasts more
than favourably with other Offices, the BONUS ADDITIONS
are extremely liberal. Thus, in November last, a £4000 Policy
became a claim, and through Bonus Additions the sum paid was
£9,039 ; and in several of the Policies presently in force in the
Ayr Agency, the Bonuses are so large as to reduce the Annual
Premium to a mere Nominal sum of a few Shillings on the £100
insured. Such liberal Bonuses are only to be had from an OLD
ESTABLISHED and EMINENTLY SUCCESSFUL Office such
as the Provident.
The characteristic feature of the Office is that while there are
Shareholders and a responsible Directorate, nearly the whole of
the Profits are divided among the Insured. At the last Division,
out of every £100 of Profit, £96 12s Id was divided in Bonuses
amongst the Insured.
Another exceptional and most important feature is that
ANNUAL Bonuses are allowed when death occurs between two
•f the Five yearly division periods.
FIRE DEPARTMENT.
In the Fire Department the cheapness of the Annual Premium
is unsurpassed by any other Office; and yet, apart from this,
every Seventh Year the Profits of the Company are divided
amongst the Insured, which, in the Fire Department, have been
fixed at 25 per Cent., or about equal to ONE AND A-HALF
YEAR'S PREMIUM, so that every Sixth Year only about half
of the Annual Premium is called for, and every Seventh Year
there is nothing whatever to pay.
In no other Fire Office do the Insured participate in the Profits.
As showing the amount of business in the FIRE DEPART-
MENT, it may be mentioned that the amount at present insured
on FARM STOCK alone exceeds TEN MILLIONS.
