Reflection Questions

1. Considerring the development opportunities available to you this year, how have
you applied what you learned? I have applied what I learned from this year in
my school, in class. I had to do multiple projects for my classes like history
fair project and Chinese PowerPoint final. I learned to do this in my computer
class.

2. What strengths do you posses that you can use at a higher level next year?
Before I have this class, I didn’t know about Microsoft Access but now I know how to
use it. Microsoft Access is for organizing data. I didn’t know who was the first
programmer but now I know that Ada Lovelace was the first computer programmer
and this could be useful in my history class. Microsoft Excel is for comparing data.

3. What obstacles must you work through so you can meet all your goals next year?
I had to overcome many obstacles this year to meet all my goals. Some of
them were study, be on time to class, and finish my homework. Sometimes I
needed to study long hours because we were having finals in every class. Be on
time was another obstacle because my science class was on the other side of the
school and I needed to go to my other class. The other obstacle was finishing my
homework. I didn’t finish some questions because I didn’t understand it and forget
to write it down.

4. Discuss what you have learned during the class and how it will achieve further
academic and work related goals?

I have learned a lot about computers this year like who was the first programmer,
different types of viruses and how to avoid them, vocabulary words, Microsoft Excel,
Word, Access, and other stuff. I can use Microsoft Excel for comparing data.
Microsoft Word for letters and writing essays. Access to organize stuff. I can use the
vocabulary words for English class. To know who the first programmer was, I can
use it in history class.

5. If you could do any assignment over this year, which one would it be and why?
Any regrets?

I would choose All about me PowerPoint presentation because a PowerPoint it’s

easy to do and because you know everything about yourself.

6. What are 3 words you would use to describe this class? Fun, Helpful, and
Responsible

7. How did your computer skills grow or improve over the course of the year?

Before I have this class I didn’t have computer skills because I didn’t have computer
class before. I only have computer skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word. But in
this year I have learned about Microsoft Access and Excel. Microsoft Excel is for
comparing data and Access is for organizing data.
8. What were your greatest challenges or lessons learned? Some challenges I had
in this class were test and Microsoft Excel. The test were kind of hard to me
because sometimes I didn’t study the day before the test and because I didn’t
understand some questions but I was able to overcome this by studying harder and
paying more attention in class.
