G.S.R... ... ... .. . .(E).- In e$ercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 and
clause (5) of article 148 offthe Constitution and after consultation with the Comptroller and
Auditor General of lndia -ib relation to persons serving in the Indian Audit and Accounts
Department, the ~residenjhereby makes the following rules further to amend the Central
Civil Services (Conduct) ~ b l e s1964,
, namely :-

(1) These rules rn y be called the Central Civil Services (Conduct) Amendment
Rules, 201 1.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

In the Central Civil ervices (Conduct) Rules, 1964, in rule 18, -

(a) 1
for sub-rule (3), the ollowing shall be substituted, namely:.

"(3) Where a Go ernment servant enters Into a transaction irt resp&t of movable
property either in hi own name or in the name of the member of his fqmily, he shall,
within one month from the date of such transact~on,report the same to the
prescnbed authorit if the value of such property exceeds two months1basic pay of

obtalned by the Go emment servant if any such transaction is with a person havlng
offiaal deallngs with/ him".

in Explanat~onI, in lause (I), ~nsub-clause (a), for the letters, f i g u h and words
"Rs 10,000, or one-sixth of the total annual emoluments received from myemment,

whichever 1s less", the wo ds 'two months' basic pay of the Govemment sew&tx, shall be
substituted
