SEVILLA
Sevilla is a “must see” locations due to its
mild Mediterranean climate and rich culture, an

From a historical standpoint, Sevilla is
exceedingly rich. For example, the Cathedral,
built in the 1400’s is perhaps the most impres-
sive Gothic cathedral in the Christian world. It
adjoins an Almohad Tower, called the Giralda,
which originally was the minaret of the Great
Mosque. This 300 foot high tower has become
a symbol of the city. Across the plaza from the
Cathedral stands the Alcazar, an impressive
10th century palace complex featuring excellent
examples of both Moorish and Christian archi-
tecture. Beyond these, the city contains many
other historic sites, all very much worth a visit.
While these inspiring and historic sites are
the backdrops of everyday life in modern Sevilla,

The Spanish language school is situated
just a stone’s throw away from the Town Hall,
the Cathedral and the Royal Palaces. This

school, completely remodeled, is housed in
a typical Sevillian style building with Roman
columns, a central patio, and large sunny ter-
race. Designed specifically for teaching pur-
poses the school has 25 air-conditioned class-
rooms, a library, a study room, a conference
room, a book store with over 1,000 books,
and a computer room with internet access.

PROGRAM OPTIONS
Standard Program. Group instruction, 4 lessons
per day, 6-12 students max per class. In total there
are 20 classes of Spanish and 2 culture classes
per week, with rotating teachers. These classes
meet from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. M-F, as well as
from 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. during high season.
Intensive Program. This is designed for small
groups with 4 lessons per day, and 3-6 students
per class. This course is for those who have
a limited time available or need to practice as
much as possible. The difference between the
standard course and this one is that the maxi-
mum number of students per group is 6 and
there is more time to practice your Spanish and
more direct contact with your teachers. These
classes meet from 9:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., M-F.
Super-Intensive Program. Small group instruc-
tion, 6 lessons per day, 3-6 students per class.

Intensive Plus. Group classes meet from
9:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., then you switch to pri-
vate lessons from 1:30 p.m. to 3:10 p.m., M-F.

ACCOMMODATIONS
All the accommodations are located no more
than 20 minutes on foot from the School.
Linen is provided with each accommoda-
tion, please bring your own bath towels.
Residence. Stately Sevillian houses
within walking distance, double or single
rooms, TV, kitchen, shared bathrooms

and terraces. Cleaning service included.
Homestay. Most students eat with the fam-
ily and in this way have a direct and natural
experience with Spanish lifestyles. We rec-
ommend this option for younger students
who want to experience a true Spanish at-
mosphere. Two meals a day are included.
Furnished Apartment. Centrally-locat-
ed flat for one or two people, with kitch-
en and bathroom. The school also of-
fers executive accommodations as well.
Private Apartment. All our flats are furnished
and have a living room, fully equipped kitchen
and bathroom. Most apartments are studio
flats with twin beds or a double bed. There
are also luxury flats available. House clean-
ing, electricity, and water are not included.
Shared Apartment. Bedrooms are simply
furnished and can either be single or dou-
ble. You will normally have 1-2 foreign stu-
dents with 1-2 native students. This option
allows students to live quite independently
as well as have contact with Spanish people
at the same time. Students are expected to
share all household chores and facilities.
CULTURAL ACTIVITIES
During the week, the school offers a va-
riety of organized activities in order to dis-
cover Sevilla’s culture and historical pastimes.
