• La disnea aguda es un síntoma común que afecta hasta el
50% de los ingresos a urgencia, siendo un predictor
potente de mortalidad
• La evaluación de la disnea sigue siendo la historia clínica
minuciosa y el examen físico
• No existe una prueba diagnostica ,a que ayude a guiar el
diagnostico , identificar la causa y tratar al paciente
• Impresión subjetiva de dificultad respiratoria que incluye
sensaciones cualitativamente diferentes y de intensidad
variable, resultado de interacciones entre múltiples
factores fisiológicos, psicológicos, sociales y ambiéntales.
