Frases

Existen diferentes tipos de frases en inglés, que siguen determinadas


estructuras relativamente flexibles.
Estructura de la frase afirmativa
Voz activa: Sujeto + verbo (+ objeto).
Ejemplo: I knock the door. / Yo golpeo la puerta.
Voz pasiva: Sujeto paciente (objeto del verbo) + verbo (+sujeto de la acción /
complemento)
Ejemplo: The door is knocked by me. / La puerta es golpeada por mí.
Además, estas estructuras pueden ramificarse, sumando sujetos, verbos u
objetos. Por ejemplo:
Sujeto + verbo + objeto + sujeto + verbo.
Ejemplo: I knock the door but nobody answers. / Golpeo la puerta pero nadie
responde. 
Estructura de la frase negativa.
Sujeto + auxiliar + not + verbo (+ objeto)
Ejemplo: I do not knock the door. / No golpeo la puerta.
Los verbos auxiliares permiten construir interrogaciones y negaciones en
inglés.
Verbos auxiliares y construcción de negación:
1. Be: I am not a child. / No soy un niño.
2. Do: I do not believe that. / No creo eso.
3. Have: I have not lost my keys. / No he perdido
4. Can: You can’t open the door. / No puedes abrir la puerta.
5. Will: They will not buy the car. / No compararán el coche.
Estructura de la interrogación
Auxiliar + sujeto + verbo (+ objeto)
Verbos auxiliares y construcción de interrogación:
1. Be: Are you Mr. Smith? / ¿Es usted el señor Smith?
2. Do: Do you like coffee? / ¿Te gusta el café?
3. Have: Have you seen him? / ¿Lo has visto?
4. Can: Can you build the house before January? / ¿Puede construer la casa
antes de enero?
5. Will: Will you stay for dinner? / ¿Te quedarás para la cena?
También se denominan frases a los conjuntos de palabras que forman las
distintas partes de la oración. Dependiendo de la función que cumplan pueden
ser:
Frase sustantiva: Conjunto de sustantivos que puede ocupar la función de
 Sujeto: The boy and the girl became friends. / El chico y la chica se
hicieron amigos.
 Objeto directo: They bought shoes, trousers and shirts. / Compraron
zapatos, pantalones y camisas.
 Objeto indirecto: They gave flower to girls and women. / Le dieron flores
a niñas y mujeres.
Frase adverbial: Conjunto de palabras que funcionan como adverbios, es decir,
que modifican un verbo, un adjetivo u otro adverbio.
 With great regret we inform that the program will not continue next
year. / Con mucho dolor informamos que el programa no continuará el
año próximo.
 They stayed with him in silence. / Se quedaron con él en silencio.
Frase verbal: Conjunto de verbos.
 They are trying to tell us something. / Están intentando decirnos algo.
 He invited them to visit next fall. / Los invite a visitarlo el próximo otoño.
Tipos específicos de frases verbales son:
 Frase infinitiva: He is ready to start training. / Está listo para comenzar a
entrenar. Starting line. Sports Cuadro de equipo titular
 Frase participio: The roof was blown away and lost.
 Frase gerundio: He spent the evening eating and drinking also
dancing. /Pasó la noche comiendo y bebiendo.
Frase adjetiva: Es un conjunto de palabras que caracterizan un sustantivo, es
decir que aportan información sobre sus características.
 The house is not very cheap. / La casa no es muy barata.
Sometimes:
Se usa para decir que algo sucede algunas veces o en algunas ocasiones.
Por ejemplo: When she's at home, sometimes, we play basketball, but not always

Always:
Sirve para expresar la idea de siempre, para siempre, o muy frecuentemente. Seguro que
recuerdas la famosísima canción I will always love you…

Never:
Con el significado de nunca, never se utiliza para expresar que algo no ha sucedido en
ninguna ocasión: I’ve never met a woman like her.

 Often. Lo podemos traducir por a menudo, es decir para hablar de acciones que
suceden en muchas ocasiones: I often eat pizza for dinner.
He plays the guitar often in his bedroom. He toca la guitarra a menudo en su cuarto.
It was rain often on november. estuvo lloviendo a menudo en noviembre

Usually:

 Se utiliza para decir que algo sucede normalmente. Debes tener cuidado y no
confundirlo con las expresiones used to y be used to, que se refieren a otra cosa: Usually,
I’m late.
He usually come on Monday.
We are usually play video games.

¿Que significa Maybe en y Español?


 Quizá, quizás, tal vez, esa es la traducción de maybe más común en español y la
más utilizada en otros idiomas por supuesto debes de saber que este verbo esta
escrito en pasado simple en este caso.

someday.

I love paint. Sometimes I draw some pictures on my own book, I usually look
for new pictures to make then. I never play video games because I don’t like
then. I like to do my homework also memorize sounds.

I love to take pictures on my camera, sometimes I go to the park, and I look for
special photo, someday I went to the beach and I saw the sunrise it was
beautifil, I make good food my favorite meal is hambuerguer with bacon.
