clasificado los mecanismos para te-
nerlos reconocidos y saber de qué
hablamos. No en todos los libros es
igual pero este esquema es el que
yo elaboro para crear un libro com-
pensado en ingenierías a la hora de
enseñar esta técnica.

Tridimensionales
Three-dimensional
Estructuras autoerectiles. Figuras
que “saltan” o surgen al abrir la
pagina, cobrando tridimensionali-
dad y movimiento.
Self-retracting structures. Figures
that “jump” or appear when

mensionality and movement.
A) De una pieza: El mecanismo tri-
dimensional mas básico.
La figura se forma con cortes y ple-
gados a partir de la propia página
base, sin añadir mas piezas de
papel. Se ensamblaran de forma
paralela al lomo de la pagina o en
ángulo respecto a el mismo (Plega-
do en “V”) y se observaran
siempre con el libro abierto a 90
grados.
B) Multi piezas: Estos mecanismos
se construyen con anadidos
de otras piezas de papel, pegadas o
ensambladas a la pagina base o a
otra forma que actue como base,
de forma paralela o en angulo.
Estos mecanismos se observaran
siempre con el libro abierto a 180o,
y las formas mas conocidas son:
-Plegados en “V”
-Capas Flotantes o Plataformas
-Formas Geométricas: Tienda /
Caja / Cubo / Cilindro/ Barco /
Cono / Pirámide / “Boca”
-Pieza en Arco o Bóveda
- Pivote o Codo de movimiento
-Mecanismos de Rejilla.
C) Desplegables u Origami: Desple-
gable realizado con una sola hoja de
papel o con añadidos, cortando y
doblando. (Arquitectura Origámica)..

A) One piece: The most basic
three-dimensional mechanism.
The figure is formed with cuts and
folds from the base page itself, wi-
thout adding more pieces of paper. I

B) Multi pieces: These mechanisms
are built with added
of other pieces of paper, glued or
assembled to the base page or to
another form that acts as a base, in
parallel or at an angle. These mecha-
nisms will always be observed
with the book open at 180o, and the
best known forms are:
-Folds in "V"
-Floating Layers or Platforms
-Geometric Shapes: Store / Box /
Cube / Cylinder / Boat / Cone /
Pyramid / "Mouth"
-Piece in Arch or Vault
- Pivot or movement elbow
-Grid Mechanisms.
C) Drop-down or Origami:
Drop-down made with a single
sheet of paper or with additions, cu-
tting and folding.
