History of the Clinton years.

I have said and will say for the rest of my life that Bill Clinton was the United States worst
President EVER! I am amazed & astonished on how many Democrats still have the puppy dog
love look in their eyes when he is mentioned.

The majority of business owners are indeed Republicans, not all but a majority yes. Businesses
only care about the bottom line, not me or you, or Suzie Q down the block, yes. We know who
we are dealing with.

Clinton sought out to negotiate with Republicans because if he was to get anything done while he
was in office there sat a Republican congress in his way so Clinton negotiated. First thing that
came was NAFTA.

Next GATT, an acronym for The General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade. The organization was
started in 1947. The group had been trying to get the US to agree to terms of a trade deal since
1986. Clinton convened Congress in the winter of 1994 to to ratify the trade agreement which
they did. This is where the WTO Wold Trade Organization came from which started in 1995. The
formation of the WTO gave within it stronger powers to enforce trade agreements and to cover a
broader range than the GATT had ever thought about.

What GATT did was it lowered tariffs worldwide by $744 billion over ten years. The largest in
the history of the world ever. It cut tariffs on manufactured goods by more than one-third overall
and eliminated tariffs in major markets.

Tariffs rates had been high up to this point so that American made products achieved a better buy
locally i.e. cheaper so that the US economy revolved around itself. The higher tariffs allowed an
American worker to go buy a product made by an American worker whose money was then used
to pay the worker for making the product the other had just bought. It would also guarantee tax
revenue for the government itself. It worked but Clinton changed that. Anyone with a functional
brain could have known that this deal would kill American industry but Clinton had what was
thought of as a trump card called the internet.

Remember Al Gore saying he invented it? He didn't it had been around since the 1950's but he
did have a part in making the net what it is today. Clinton & Gore went all in on the hand & the
net took off. We all should also remember the days of net stocks climbing so high it made
billionaires out of anyone who had a site that went public no matter what it was. Clinton & Gore
saw this as the new US economy much like President Obama calls green technology &
knowledge (whatever that means) a basis for the next economy. This is where Clinton failed each
& every one of us. He had no foresight. the net was taking off so fast no one thought about how
it would be when it evened out and subsided.

In 1999 Clinton then signed the Chinese Trade Agreement into law. This was pretty much a war
preventive. The Chinese were like the North Koreans, a Communist Military dictatorship. They
did and still see Taiwan as part of their nation. They were threatening to once again make the
nation whole by taking it over. The US which had many business interest interest in Taiwan
(remember all the made in Taiwan stickers on our products?) couldn't allow that to happen. It
was a shrewd move on the Chinese part because it was a faint and the US appeased them with a
free trade agreement enforceable by the WTO. The faint is much like North Korea where it acts
out only because it wants to negotiate and get what it wants. The Chinese did that and got that.
The Chinese knew if they could get an agreement with the USA that there wouldn't be a
company here locally who could compete because the restrictions simply wouldn't be there like
quality, wages, insurance. They could cut costs every way possible and that is what they did.

In March of 2000 Clinton visited India and signed a trade deal with them. This has flooded the
markets with cheap Indian made goods mostly comprised of clothing & home accessories like
rugs.

The US economy was fine before all of this and wont EVER be the same since because the WTO
can enforce the deals set in place. In just 15 years we have collapsed upon ourselves. I

It will take an act of Congress & some fortitude to over turn these terrible deals. Then & only
then might we see the ability of the US economy recover. Until then we all will continue to see
the down fall of our once great proud nation. Doesn't it strike any of you as odd why they all
keep saying we have to re invent ourselves or come up with NEW industries? They know they
are gone and all of it due to Bill Clinton & the Republican Congress that served during those 8
years yet people still like them. To me they always will be know as the traitors that brought
down a great nation.
