HIGHLIGHTS OF THE 70TH ANNUAL SESSION OF THE INDIAN

ROADS CONGRESS HELD AT PATNA (BIHAR) FROM


14TH TO 17TH NOVEMBER, 2009

On the invitation of the Government of Bihar, the During the Session, important events included

of Bihar on 13 November 2009. The Session was
attended by more than 2177 Highway Engineers
from various facets of Roads, Bridges and Road
Transport fraternity from all over the country including
dignitaries from AASHTO (USA) & France.

expressed his sincere gratitude to the Government of
Bihar for inviting IRC to host the 70th Annual Session
at Patna. He mentioned that IRC had the privilege of
holding its three Annual Sessions earlier 26th Annual
Session in 1961, 41st Annual Session in January 1981 &
53rd Annual Session in December 1992 in Bihar.
